@AlwaysBeNice Indeed there's nothing that "should work". If you were to actually apply the method; you'd find yourself in a constant state of bliss - for it's own sake. No other agenda than feeling good right now. Being happy and fulfilled with what life's reflecting to you. Are you still seeking? If so, I can see how the information he shares could be completely irrelevant to you. Alien yes or no... That's completely secondary, in my opinion. Can the information be useful and beneficial? That's what's important to me. And if there actually is an entity called "Bashar" that's reaching out to humanity... Even cooler

@AlwaysBeNice Have you actually tried implementing one of his principles in your everyday life? Like for example following your passion and excitement at any given moment to the best of your abilities but also not holding onto expectations of any particular outcome? How can that not affect one positively? Literally anything anyone says can be turned into a belief. And that's not necessarily bad. However, the emphasis should, in my opinion, always be on going out there and actually doing things instead of just absorbing teachings forever. I think the information Bashar is putting through can be incredibly valuable to some.

I've been flirting with Death throughout my life quite consistently. I have seen its face; felt its claws. As a kid; I was fascinated by the concept. I grew up listening to heavy music. "Death" was a pretty common theme. I looked up to a lot of phenomenal artists. They were my role models, my guides, my friends, my family. I'd like to dedicate this thread to one of my all time favourite musicians: Chuck Schuldiner. (May he rest in eternal peace) He was the brain and heart behind his band called "Death", and is known as the "godfather" of death metal music. But don't let that fool you... His lyrics are pure poetry. There is deep Truth and meaning in his music. These are some of my favourite lines; "I close my eyes And sink within myself Relive the gift of precious memories In need of a fix called innocence" "Do you remember when Things seemed so eternal? Heroes were so real... The heart is the centre ?

I have never experienced unconsciousness. But something in me really feels like I have. How could I know this for sure, without being conscious of not being conscious? Is it simply by the obviousness of me being conscious right now? Does that automatically imply unconsciousness? Or could unconsciousness be just an assumption? A thought? What's your take on it?

@Leo Gura How can consciousness become more and more conscious of itself forever? Isn't that the same as saying it can never truly become fully conscious of itself?

Bizarrely magical How do you know that, if you're unconscious? Doesn't that make you a conscious devil? A zen devil? That's what we know for sure. And what we don't know, is a sweet mystery Thanks for your input! That's very interesting. Something you don't hear very often. Can the shadow be fully conscious of itself but still be the shadow and serve its purpose? Or would you say it would eventually dissolve into the light of consciousness? What's your relationship like with the shadow?

@James123 Retrospectively; I have never seen or experienced an ego. I was just feeling and thinking a lot. Since forever. All I had to do was to empty the recycle bin. Things run much smoother now. No bugs. No errors. No egos flying around

@James123 I am because I desire to be. Being is pure desire. Passion. Love. Playfulness. Joy. Bliss. Demonizing desire is a part of the old spiritual paradigm. As well as demonizing the ego, maya, or anything else. It screams separation. There is, for the sake of the argument; unhealthy desire. Or better yet; misaligned desire. Irrelevant desire. But fundamentally, there is nothing wrong with desire. It's not in your way. Just like thoughts are not in your way. Or feelings. Or egos. Or maya. Or anything else. That's just a very outdated spiritual path.

@Mert "People acting in a dysfunctional way" is yet another thought. A judgement. Isn't it? I understand what you are saying, but can one see divine perfection in "unconscious behaviour"? Is there really anything that's fundamentally dysfunctional? Everything seems to be functioning flawlessly over here No matter how I feel or think about it. @The observer I hear you. Not sure if we're on the same wave, but gotcha. Who could blame us though? All this enlightenment stuff, or as you allude; the concept of enlightenment, is pretty damn exciting, isn't it? We are playful beings. We like to juggle ideas.
