Exactly. He really wants to say that experience belongs to the ego mind. The problem is the ego has co-opted Consciousness and made it theirs. And so experience has been co-opted by the ego. It isn't God or Pure Being looking at a thing it is the self or the body. So his premise is that anything with an egoic goal is null. This is obvious BS because it is the ego that co-opted Consciousness in the first place so how else would it get out but in reverse? Besides all of that - the ego is still no different than Consciousness or God - it's just that we want to strike a duality between the two. It's very tricky but very simple at the same time. -

That's where the intent is. I am not knocking you I'm just saying you have to start from ego somewhere. It just is that. The thing is enlightenment is like winning the lotto. Its a secret door out of the.Matrix but you did use the Matrix at some point or the content within to get out. You purchased the ticket. You don't just wake up and boom you're enlightened- at least not for most of us. -

If I recall and i may have confused you with someone else but didn't you sit in darkness for days? If not did enlightenment just simply dawn? Unfortunately this does not happen for all. For many a tool can be leveraged and this isn't a problem. Again what is within the Matrix breaks you out of the Matrix. Even if you just "let go" this had some type of intent. Otherwise you wouldn't allow yourself to let go. -

It can be for some. A tool can be used for ill or good. Many sit in meditation with a desire for achieving enlightenment - an egoic pursuit- where for me i knew nothing I simply went through the motions seeing where it would go. It must be for the blind pursuit of Truth not for self achievement but for Truth itself. @James123 yet the same can be said for picking up the tool of psychedelics. You should not be so quick to judge. -

Exactly. But I'll expand on that. When i awakened it wasn't even about letting go or achievement it was from a place of complete spiritual ignorance and just a curiosity into what is like a child might wonder about a toy or the sky. Nothing more. Ignorance is bliss. But spiritual knowledge could lead to the desire for achievement as you say - and therein you will be doomed to never discover Truth. The same can be said for psychedelics as much as you may want to dispute that. It is really no different than meditation. -

Exactly. Haha are you Italian? Love the metaphor. I wish spaghetti would have enlightened me! 😃 -

If all things are within the Matrix then all things are equal within the Matrix. Sitting and staring at the wall or ingesting a pill are all still content within the Matrix. This is missed by even Ralston. -
Inliytened1 replied to UnbornTao's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Well if he took it already knowing it would not work then of course it wouldn't - the ego would already be on the defense. You should actually ask yourself why Ralston is so bent on proving why psychedelics don't work rather than worrying about whether they work or not. The Truth is no can rule out anything that can trigger enlightenment and enlightenment is a shift in Consciousness. So if we disagree there - in states- we may as well part ways. But it is a shift and one would be a fool to rule anything out.. Hopping on a bus to school in the morning could initiate enlightenment. This is a foolsgame and it's sad to see someone like Ralston wasting time disputing such things. -

His video on What is Perception basically is paramount in understanding that there is no subject/object duality. This is an illusion. For example what would it mean to have an object out there somewhere with no one to perceive it? What would that even mean? It means that reality is Consciousness itself. What is the difference between imagination and reality to you? Because what if imaginary and real were the same? What if that was a duality that could collapse? That would make reality ultimately Mind because it collapses the duality of everything and nothing. You're basically fighting against idealism by depositing materialism. But it breaks down quickly for reasons stated above. -
Inliytened1 replied to James123's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That's just foolishness. So then mediation is limited with mind? Mediation is ego too? If you were in the matrix and someone told you to break out you needed to use psychedelics or mediation would you refuse them because they are content within the matrix? What if they worked to get you out of the Matrix? You have to use the means within the Matrix to break you out of the Matrix. -
Inliytened1 replied to Zenterus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It depends. If beneath all of this is a weeping child then maybe. As long as he has a certain level of intelligence and is underlyingly good he can. Most psychopaths have severe childhood trauma or they were damaged in childhood. No one just comes out evil but those that do would have a hard time becoming enlightened. If you are Satan incarnate then no. It would be no different than asking me if a dog could awaken. -
Maybe it's because you are caught up with the term but if you take Oneness literally you would realize that there is no separation between anything.

Inliytened1 replied to James123's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes if you mean ego. But don't confuse psychedelics with this it's two separate things. Psychedelics can trigger ego death. How do you know they can't? I don't blame Leo if he bans you for this because despite your views being subjective they could negatively impact other users. However on the other hand he shouldn't ban you since your views are subjective. The sword cuts both ways. It's not Consciousness but yet Consciousness is eternal. So which is it? -
You all know you tried to find the coolest name when you joined this forum This sounds really petty but can we list the top ten coolest names on the forum In your estimation? Maybe sometimes we should just get petty because it's fun and I know you have thought about it. List your top ten here. Leo Gura loses by default. I've got mine.

Well we proved this wrong in previous threads. I thought this thread was supposed to be articles and postings. If you want to get into another debate there are other threads which already debunked this. -
This is all that matters. If one could be omniscient but just once they would realize that all the money and all the power in the world mean nothing. Thank you for your wisdom.

Your statement solidifes this because Infinity has no limit to its dimensions. Thus how can you cap it or create a scale for it.

That was the order but there were plenty of mystical experiences and glimpses in between to where they merge together as One, as they should. So you're not wrong Ultimately it is Oneness afterall. But I don't like to look at things in terms of ratings. By giving enlightenment numbers I think it reduces and degrades what awakening really is in actuality. It doesn't work in terms of ratings. Anyway, Of course I was sober did you expect anything else? But the awakenings or realizations (realizations at a mystical level of Consciousness is a better description) didn't have different quality they were all of equal power even if they were all pieces to the puzzle. The great puzzle of Existence. And there were other mystical experiences I forgot to mention because these were the key realizations. But it all ultimately culminated into Absolute Oneness - and guess what that is? Love!! The whole experience is ineffable as you know. You don't need psychedelics for the whole thing that's a myth created by those who didn't access it sober. So...there's that. That being said I don't want to give psychedelics a bad name they could shift your Consciousness just as easily as meditation. Both are tools or triggers to what lies beyond.

It opened up like a mofo. I saw it all and i saw that it was all me. Its scary as hell. The ego was not there in that moment i was dead. I was helpless and couldn't drive or do anything. It had been hitting me in bits and pieces prior to that leading up to the big opening. Which was scary enough but that one moment. Man. I'll never forget that. Eventually I was able to come back and drive away. Since then all you can do is recover and take back the understanding.

Heres how it went for me the order is a little fuzzy This is kind of how it goes but in no specific orders: No Self realization (Enlightenment- ego death) The mystical wind - (spirit) Bliss - Divinity- amazing- miraculous- godlike - mystical Infinity - (The God Wind - Absolure Infinity - reeling on the ground for momma. You are Infinity and Infinity is reality. As a result of Infinity - its Consciousness - Consciousness continues to expand encompassing all. Its a dream. Everything is ideas not material reality. Mind blowing Nothingness. You are Absolutely Nothing ..as a result of Infinity (Devastating a feeling of complete emptiness) Complete Omniscience - grasping it all. Wonderful. You grasp it all in one go. God realization - You are God and are dreaming the whole thing. All of it is yours. Satisfying. Complete Oneness Solpsism) self and other duality collapses - it really hits you now. Yeah you were God. But you're fucking God. Like that's it. There's nothing outside of you.. Beautiful but terrifying. Ego returns. Somehow keep your sanity.

Thank you I will. But see once you are enlightened where are you going to go. So I can look at it but his path may not be my path and your path may not be his. But yes it did start with no--self. What was the final awakening for him?
-
Thank you brother glad to know you're there too. I wouldn't call it a limbo state. There is no reason to access God Mode so to speak or Divine Consciousness unless you are leaving the dream or you are awakening in my book. You're awake. So that's it.
-
I'm lucid but no I can't access Infinite Consciousness at will although I can feel it beginning I can make the beginning of it start but it won't go further because I have to die for that and the ego doesn't want to die To access that level of Consciousness again I would have to die which now the ego cannot be caught by surprise or curiosity again. It doesn't work that way.

No that was enlightenment. The realization of No-Self was the first im giving you total hours of actual meditation it could have been 16 but definitely no more than that for the whole thing. Once Consciousness was expanded the door was open. Further realizations didn't require a practice. I could be driving to work or sitting at my desk. Or meditating. The awakenings were over a 2 week period and then again the final one bout 2 months later this time spontaneously although I was doing some meditation in between. But the main enlightenment happened after just a day or two of meditation. The final one which you so sorely dispute. Solipsism. Happened on my way to work actually and I had to pull over. Because I realized I was completely alone. But let's leave that one out as that was the one two months later

I'm not sure where you got your answers from but when I asked AI (Claude AI) I got this - There's no clear scientific answer to this - individual variation would matter far more than sex/gender. Research on solitary confinement shows that psychological deterioration depends on factors like: Individual differences (regardless of gender): Pre-existing mental health conditions Previous trauma or stress exposure Personality traits (introversion vs. extroversion) Coping mechanisms and resilience Age and cognitive flexibility Situational factors: Duration and conditions of confinement Whether there's any sensory stimulation Previous experience with isolation Access to activities, reading materials, etc. While there are some gender differences in mental health statistics generally (women have higher rates of depression and anxiety disorders, men have higher rates of substance abuse), these population-level trends don't reliably predict individual responses to extreme stress like solitary confinement. Solitary confinement is considered harmful to virtually everyone when prolonged, with documented effects including anxiety, depression, hallucinations, cognitive impairment, and increased suicide risk - affecting people of all genders. The most honest answer is: it would depend entirely on the specific individuals involved, not their gender.
