Up until you sit. Honestly when it comes to meditation getting you to Absolute Truth, the less you know about spirituality the better because the more you know the less chances of the ego being SURPRISED. So if you even know there is a search that is a point in the ego's favor and subsequent defense. So I agree there. It's a fine line. There has to be a little bit of curousity to want to understand. But that line can easily be crossed into spiritual ego. Thats why I said meditation usually happens fast. Because it happens to the ones that don't know too much about spirituality yet and are just dipping their feet, getting curious. I'm not going to go as far as Leo's stance where he says it's hopeless. But I do agree with Martin Ball's assessment that psychedelics can just overwhelm and annihilate the ego. Both are tools to a different state of Consciousness. Of course there are always the ego's that really need to be burned before they wise up. Fool them once and the jokes on them. Fooling them twice is another matter.

Not a big fan of Osho personaliy but he's more like me than I want to know. But yeah these are good points i would say leave deconstruction completely out. Once you begin to bring science into the mix you might as well take psychedelics.

All this stuff. Yeah..I can't help that society corrupted it. But what is done is done. Mediation wasn't meant to be that. It was meant to be simple. It was meant to shut down the mind. Can you still do that? If you can then you have the essence of meditation. I'm telling you this not because it worked for me but because that's what it is.
