How do you escape a dream with tools made within the dream? Because its magic. A mechanism was never required. Its all one giant fabrication. So you're attempting to find some logic in any of it. So when you say "you can't just do that: well that assumes a set of rules. But who created those rules?

Yes that can be effective but I am talking more specifically about awakening to no self. For that me I realized that what I thought was my identity was an idea. For example in my case i believed I was an entity behind the eyes. Like an invisible entity. A soul. I knew I couldn't find this anywhere in space though. And that is when I realized it actually existed as an idea. Thats what i was. Not metaphorically but quite literally.

Well..what you come to find out is that the you is an idea. Because all you have is ideas. So anything you believe you are is an idea. I forgot to mention that earlier but that i think is what yiu are saying. Realizing you are an idea can be enough to drop the ego and trigger a shift in consciousness. But you have to realize it so profoundly that it brings about enlightenment.

I can't even tolerate it or it throws my ego into immediate panic attacks. I have yet to try psychedelics but i would be very wary to. But maybe they would be different.

Wow that's interesting. Yep you see so grandpa was onto something. What i think is sad is that young kids are just indoctrined in with relatively no say. Yes they can think for themselves so ultimately they can decide what they want to "believe" but the fact that they are just indoctrined in with no say is kind of messed up. With Judaism there is no taking communion or anything like that it is much more laid back to me than Christianity. By the way it doesn't surprise me that shamans had mental illness. There is a binding genetically between mental illness and mystical ability. Imo.

My grandfather always said religion was good about one thing. Holding the family unit together 😀 But it's good for some to surrender to a higher power greater than themselves. Because this allows them to release control and give it to God. Its a type of release. The problem is the whole problem with religion in general. Which we both know so I won't go into it here. But suffice it to say it is pre-rarional and you can be post-rational (transcending rationalism) which is much more advanced

Try to get yourself out of this thought loop. You kind of trapped yourself with the realizations but more importantly if you have only had a glimpse of God Consciousness how can you be certain you are God? Have you had an awakening yet that you are God? Because if you had then I think you would have integrated it properly and wouldn't be in this thought loop. This is kinda what happens when you take things on as a belief. So try to get yourself out of this because I think it is going to make you more nihilistic as that is what it appears to be doing when it should be a positive. I'm sure part of it is but the negative part would make me want to change my thinking.

Yeah i would rather plant the better word in when needed. It is nice to see someone's face when you use a word they don't understand. And you have to explain what it means. It's not to show off I think its natural to grow your vocabulary and you should be able to get more advanced with your language.

Its an interesting take on OCD and religion and how religion helps the mentally ill. But it is very superficial about OCD becsuse ritual is only one flavor of OCD. I actually have OCD and it is not about that at all for me
