All the violence up to this point is just a light primer for what's to come. The chickens are coming home to roost. I remember in 2016 telling my Trump-voting friend that you can't put a guy like Trump in that position - a guy telling his rally crowd to punch his political opponents in the face and to not worry because he'll bail them out of jail. I told my friend little kids would see that on TV and you can't have this sort of thing. He couldn't see the point. I wonder if he gets it now. -

I fell into that trap several times. I'd make it like 1 month and then go out drinking and tell myself "I've got this problem handled so it's fine to have a smoke." I do think it's possible to get there, because I could smoke today and not continue to smoke tomorrow but that's only because I truly don't want to smoke. It's a motherfucker to beat, really.

No need to speculate. People should at minimum have a gut instinct as to what's going on here. And people who fancy themselves serious thinkers and students of reality should know without a doubt what is going on here. A malignant, billionaire narcissist talking about how grand his ballroom will be, which will serve as a key piece of infrastructure in keeping his narcissistic supply filled, is always going to be more important than the death of even the humans closest to him. You can't project normal human tendencies onto Trump because he's not a normal human. Con artists of the highest degree don't give a fuck about people in any normal sense. -

I know it’d be a difficult job to hunt down criminals but the FBI looks incompetent af here. They couldn’t apprehend a lone, untrained 22yr old. Not a good look . Makes the US look weak. Think of all the newly emboldened wannabe terrorists. -

If it was a professional job, maybe the face in the pictures is the disguise. -
Because you categorized them left and right. If you left that part out, no one would have reason to think you were putting them on the same level. It sounded like you were saying, “heres something the left often foolishly rejects, and here’s something the right often foolishly rejects. And I can’t take either of them seriously because they’re both absurd”. The comparison seems implied.

Also, mainstream media, in their attempt to appear non-partisan and virtuous, is spreading the falsehood that Kirk went around the country debating and engaging in political discourse in good faith. This is utter bullshit. He was just good at hiding his malicious intent behind a suit, and with a calmer demeanor than that of his much younger and less prepared opponents. -
It took me countless attempts to quit but eventually, I did. Sometimes I'd make it a week, 2 weeks, a month, and even 3,6, and 9 months. When you go long enough without them, you realize you don't need them, and you can start the cycle back but then you realize you don't want to live like that and you remember all the struggles and realize it's not worth it. If a cigarette were in front of me now, I'd throw it away like it was nothing. I'm just not going back down that road. Non-smoker is part of my identity now. Smoking isn't something I do and I'm happy about that and miserable if it were otherwise. Not sure what the takeaway is but for me, it was just a lot of trial and error and persistance. People got annoyed with me trying to quit every week or two for a decade. This might help: the nicotine leaves your body in about 3 days, so the first 3 days are the hardest. I used to lock myself in a room and do nothing but eat junk food and binge Netflix for the 3 days as a distraction from the cravings. It worked pretty good. After the 3 days, your body isn't yelling for it anymore. After the 3 days, you just have to deal with your emotions telling you you need it. At that point, it's matter of will and/or distraction. After a good amount of times passes, you'll realize you're fine without them and eventually, even the taste of a cigarette will be nasty and off-putting.

@Hojo Apparently, there are these things in video editing called "morph cuts" which some are saying explains the AI look. https://x.com/joshuarolson/status/1966204333823037635. That might explain it. -

@Hojo Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with the video. There's no telling wtf is going on with this whole mess. I'm a bit burnt out atm. -

@Hojo It does appear to be AI generated but I assume they can create these videos within a matter of 1-3 hours, so they probably just spun it up when they found out about. Most likely trying to conceal Trump's health, which was on display at the 9/11 ceremony today. -

Trump's face looking very droopy today at the 9/11 ceremony. Could be why they deep-faked his Kirk address: -

The point of showing how despicable Kirk was is to put a check on empathy running away with itself at the expense of the truth. If Hitler was shot in the neck and people started saying things like "he was a human and had good qualities" and then if others start listing off how toxic he actually was, it's because they want to bring the truth of the matter back into the perspective. Not necessarily because they're condoning the murder. -

Looks like a young lone wolf to me. Is this what Groypers look like? -

It definitely shouldn't be ruled out. IMO, it's still too early to lean too far into professional hit. It could still just be a competent college kid or Kirk hater who pulled it off. They do exist and It's the simplest explanation. If they don't come up with any answers at all, it will most likely be a professional hitjob. If it's a lone wolf, they should be able to catch him soon since I'm sure that campus had surveillance out the wazoo, so they should be able to track down his movements and getaway vehicle, getaway route, etc, just like with Luigi. An ordinary person, even if highly intelligence and competent, would have a very hard time evading capture. -

That was my initial thought, but after downloading and slowing the video down even further, the pinky disappears in a single frame and in that same frame, the entire hand deforms. -

Ok, this is fucking weird. Go watch Trump's oval office Kirk address on Twitter and slow the video speed to the lowest setting, and watch Trump's hands starting at the 14 second mark. It appears that his pinky finger disappears when he moves his hand. I suppose it could be an optical illusion or something but IDK. Any thoughts? Pinky disappears and whole hand deforms, which is a common problem with AI video: -

This assassination came at what seems to be a very, very opportune time for galvanizing political support. From the looks of it, social media has been ablaze with highly sophisticated and stealthy "civil war" propaganda for the last 2 weeks at least. And this propaganda has been pitting whites against blacks, which basically translates to left vs right. It could just be a coincidence, but the younger generation social media sphere has been full of "black fatigue", which there is some truth to, but at the same time could be seen as a repackaging of racism made palatable for moderates. -

Yes, I can feel the reverberation of the collective right wing prayer still pulsating beneath my feet. Their prayers for revenge will bring in much light.
