  1. Others have said everything that could be said about this. I've only got one quote for you to contemplate on:
  2. @DocWatts Also, you can use journaling as a form of contemplation. That works better for me for some reason.
  3. This is an excerpt from Adyashanti's book Way of Liberation. You might find it useful:
  4. That's how a spiritual practise is done properly. Cool stuff man!
  5. @vizual How about Leo vs Oprah? Now that's something I'd pay for.
  6. In an absolute sense, yeah, that's completely true. There's nothing to do, there's nothing to chase, you're already God/Love/Truth. However, this hardcore neo-advaita approach is not really helpful for people who have been on this path for a few years and the realization hasn't happened yet. Especially for newbies. So, in a relative sense, seeking is necessary in most cases. Whatever that may be: meditating, reading, contemplating, etc.
  7. Check out his episode of "Reproduction Is An Illusion". That should answer your question.
  8. People who knew Ramana always spoke of the peace they experienced in his presence. How when they all sat together their mind would become quiet, their doubts would dissolve, and their emotional wounds would heal. Ramana did nothing, there was just an unmistakable energy that came from his awakening. I practice to have that same presence - it is how I shall help bring peace to the world.
  9. What @Leo Gura said. I've been doing this exact thing nowadays. I'm working on a small platformer game and every single day I learn something new. You have to google a lot, watch youtube videos, buy courses and most importantly: think. Try to actually understand what you're doing, because copying codes mechanically won't get you far. Also, this website has pretty good C#/Unity courses: https://www.gamedev.tv/
  10. That's a very valuable insight. If you think about it, that's exactly what 'manual' spiritual practises do. You're giving up your identity and everything that you're attached to. Only in tiny increments. That's why ego backlashes occur.
  11. How satisfied can I be with nothing special? --- True happiness is nothing other than being satisfied with exactly what is happening right now whatever that might be.
  12. I'm heavily critical of the vaccines/government/big pharma. I used to be quite outspoken about it and I managed to get into some confrontations, which were not exactly pleasant. Lesson learned though, nowadays I just keep it to myself. I see no point in debating since people tend to get triggered way too easily and sometimes they're really-really closeminded. I'm talking about either side.
  13. This video came to my mind when I read the title:
  14. Good luck to his next journey whatever that may be ??
  15. You managed to alter your waking state consciousness to a mystical experience-esque state and maybe that triggered an unresolved trauma/other shadow material which manifested as an 'evil entity'?
  16. One of the best clips, that's for sure!
  17. Love is not selective, just as the light of the sun is not selective. It does not make one person special. It is not exclusive. Exclusivity is not the love of God but the "love" of ego. However, the intensity with which true love is felt can vary. There may be one person who reflects your love back to you more clearly and more intensely than others, and if that person feels the same toward you, it can be said that you are in a love relationship with him or her. The bond that connects you with that person is the same bond that connects you with the person sitting next to you on a bus, or with a bird, a tree, a flower. Only the degree of intensity with which it is felt differs.
  18. @Kksd74628 Here's the thing. There's no magic pill or ultimate technique on this path. You'll have to try many 'manual' practises. Experiment with them, see what works for you. If you happen to find one that you like, stick with it. Keep seeking/meditating/contemplating as long as you need. If you crave mystical experiences, psychedelics would be your best bet. They can show you what this work is all about in an instant. They have some inherent dangers to them, but if you're smart about it, you probably won't have traumatic experiences. Even then, you'll have to do manual practises since your consciousness will return to equilibrium when the trip is over.
  19. Not really a quote, this pic is quite neat:
  20. @Kksd74628 I read a book about enlightenment a while ago and there's a neat little quote in it: I mean, you're doing just fine. You're on the right track, so keep contemplating/meditating. Thinking is necessary to a certain degree, that's for sure, but don't fall into the trap of excessive mental gymnastics
  21. Here's a question for you to contemplate: What if my current experience right here, right now is already a mystical experience?
  22. This meme could've been used as an answer to almost every single question of Curt
  23. This is actually a great pointer. Sometimes I do thought experiments like this. I take a look at my family member or any person who's close to me and I think something along the lines of: "If I didn't know this person, I'd just simply walk past him/her in the supermarket without even noticing him/her"
