  1. I know exactly what your intention is with these tough love kind of posts, but if I were you, I'd be a bit more careful with the tone. You come off really arrogant, thus indirectly make people feel guilty. This scares off newbies in a second.
  2. Integrating nonduality/God consciousness into everyday, 'mundane' life is where it's at. Awesome post ?
  3. Just watched it in one sitting. The show itself was pretty good, but holy shit (no pun intended ), this whole scene was absolutely perfection. I was actually surprised that I heard a straight-up nonduality monologue in a mainstream netflix TV show.
  4. How's your relationship with your family/spouse/coworkers and people in general?
  5. Do you guys actually enjoy this work? I mean, what's the reason you do this work? This is pretty much a rethorical question, I don't really expect any answers. That's not the point of this thread. The point is, I often see forum members who are racking their brains trying to figure out the nature of reality, life, death, consciousness and so on. That's awesome, after all that's why we're here. However, are guys you actually enjoying this process? Has this work become mechanical for you? After a heavy day of contemplation/meditation/tripping, do you socialize? Do you have casual and fun conversations with your spouse? Do you stop for a moment to appreciate the moment as it is? Do you have a strong connection to nature? Do you take care of your family? If you don't feel like doing anything meaningful, can you just sit down on your couch and play your favorite video game without feeling guilty? And again, I don't expect answers. This is supposed to be just a friendly reminder that taking seriously this work is crucial, after all this is actual a matter of life and death, but enjoying this whole process is also crucial
  6. Yup, that's what it's all about! Don't worry about it, everybody has his/her own path, just make sure you're not taking your path THAT seriously.
  7. Don't take this the wrong way, but you should've left this forum a long time ago. It clearly shows that this environment has a negative effect on your mental health. Everybody's different and everybody has different levels of tolerance. There are also trolls here just like in every corner of the internet. That's just how it is. Having grandiose ideas about this forum is great and all, but that's not the reality. This is never gonna be a hyper-understanding and ultrafriendly place. That's basically projecting your way too idealistic ideas onto the forum. Don't get me wrong though, bullying is also not okay and should not be tolerated. As far as I know, Leo and the mods are doing the best they can to weed out these people. That's pretty much all they can do. The rest is the individual's responsibility. Seek out therapy, journal in an actual physical journal, create a social circle (or even online circle) that consists of understanding and sensitive people just like you and keep going. Wish you luck and take care!
  8. You can experiment with other questions as well. One of my favorites: "What is this?"
  9. Quality content, this deserves a sticky.
  10. How satisfied can I be with nothing special? --- True happiness is nothing other than being satisfied with exactly what is happening right now whatever that might be.
  11. @Javfly33 Awake people still have to partake in the relative domain, but the only difference is that they don't struggle, they usually work for themselves, they enjoy what they do and they serve a higher purpose besides regular survival. This is just my 2 cents, but being bitter every single time somebody opens a thread like this is not really a good strategy.
  12. Thousands of layers of confusion and conditioning.
  13. Maybe try meditating first thing in the morning without checking your phone. See if that changes anything.
  14. @Hello world Do you think you can handle 5 minutes of meditation/day?
  15. When you get out of the driver’s seat, you find that life can drive itself, that actually life has always been driving itself. When you get out of the driver’s seat, it can drive itself so much easier—it can flow in ways you never imagined. Life becomes almost magical. The illusion of the “me” is no longer in the way. Life begins to flow, and you never know where it will take you.

  17. When you wake up from your story, guess what you realize about everybody else? They are not their story. They are spirit, too. And that spirit is totally independent of their story and your story about them. So you not only lose your center, you lose their center, that box you would put them in. You see they are the same. This is why it is said the enlightenment is never a personal matter. You can't realize you are enlightened and still believe that others aren't. You can't see your true nature without seeing the true nature of everything. It is literally impossible. This is a tremendous act of compassion, an act of love.
  18. Your situation may look bad, you may have many-many toxic thoughts about yourself and your current situation in life, but hey, you're in the right place. The very fact that you opened this thread is a good sign. It means that you're looking for solutions even if you're not completely aware of it. You have to believe that you can turn your life around. It may feel just like a nice belief for you at the moment, but know that this is 100% truth. That's the first and most important step. Then practical baby steps is what you're looking for. No matter how small that step is, do it everyday and allow yourself to feel proud. Even if it's just a few minutes/day. Do that for a while and you'll see results in your life, I'm 100% sure. And also know that you're welcomed and you can always find support here.
