  1. Sunday: Spa-session with 4 cold-baths Monday: 45 min meditation and a cold shower. Tuesday (today): 45 min meditation and a cold shower.
  2. 6th session of kayaking this year Cold shower earlier in the day, and then a session of kayaking in the evening. So nice. This year it seems like I'm not kicking on kayaking so much because it is an awesome sensory and visual experience, but more because it is an awesome form of exercise. I guess the sensory and visual experience gets normalized after a certain period of time, even though you feel that it is very healthy and good for the soul to be out in that envirment, but what is really motivating is how totally awesome it is for ones body. I mean, one just starts to feel so strong in the upper body. The chest opens up and pops out, the spine gets eretec and strong, and everything just feels really right about it. It goes especially well together with my focus on sitting meditation these days, because I'm working so much on my posture when doing sitting meditation. Sitting meditation is just an invitation for the body to really open up and become strong. It becomes like that by relaxing deeply. So what is achieved in sitting meditation is much the same as what is achieved with kayaking, just in a much more active form. So they both mutually support each in both working directly on some specific and common goals.
  3. And then 1 hour meditation in the evening now as I came home from work. Such a nice and quiet feeling in the whole of my being. Beautiful silence.
  4. 45 min meditation today. So nice :-)
  5. 5th session of kayaking this year So sweet. This time I was out for 3 hours. The weather was perfect. Nice and quiet with a lovely sun. Found a beautiful mountain-top to meditate on at an island I took a pause on.
  6. 4th session of kayaking this year Tuesday: 45 min silent meditation in the morning, then 2 hours of kayaking, and then spa with 2 cold-baths. Wednesday: No practice. Thursday: 20 min silent meditation in the morning Friday (today): 30 min silent meditation
  7. Spa with 3 cold-baths today. Super-ultra-nice :-D This is the perfect way to recharge after night-shifts. Been working 4 night-shifts in a row this weekend as well.
  8. Cold shower today, and then 1,5 hour mantra-singing at the yoga-studio nearby. Both were really really nice :-D
  9. Bathing in the sea this morning, and then home to take a good and long warm shower ended with a good and solid cold shower. So nice. It has been snowing lately, even though we are far into the spring, so the sea is almost as cold as during the winter, so this is pretty close to ice-bathing still. Been really kicking on the spa lately with its cold-bath, but it is really nice to have these three things to alternate between: the sea during winter / early spring / late fall, cold showers at home, and cold baths at the spa. And both the spa and the sea is only a block from where I live. It really boosts the motivation to have these different flavours of cold-exposure to alternate between. The most beautiful of them all is of course direct exposure to the sea during winter, but even that can sometimes become a little too harsh or too much of something when done too much without any variation, so the really smooth experience at the spa supported by the saunas and the warm-baths can really increase the smoothness and relaxation of it all, and of course a quick and handy session in the cold shower at home is as simple as you can possibly get it.
  10. Spa with 2 cold-baths today. So nice :-D
  11. Third session of kayaking this year 1,5 hour kayaking first thing this morning, and then spa and 3 cold baths. So nice :-D
  12. Spa with 2 saunas, 3 warm-baths, and 4 cold baths today. Actually the order was first sauna, then cold bath, then warm bath, then cold bath, then warm bath, then cold bath, sauna again, and then finishing it off with the last cold bath. So nice. I was pretty tired after having worked 4 night-shifts in a row when I got there, but it is a very efficient way of getting some deep rest.
  13. Only a cold shower today, but it was so good :-)
  14. Spa with 3 cold baths today as well. So nice :-D
  15. Spa with 3 cold baths today as well. So nice. I really love to jump out into the cold water, and then, after the shock has been absorbed to take a deep breath and also hold my head under the water for as long as I can. It gets really still inside at that point.
  16. Spa with 3 cold baths today. The really nice thing about this spa is that it is possible to jump into the cold water. Somehow that is very fun and meaningful :-D
  17. Started the day with a cold shower, then later in the day I did 30 min of yoga and then went to the spa where I did sauna, warm-bath and 4 sessions in the cold-bath. Super-ultra-nice :-D
  18. 20 min vinyasa yoga, and then a cold shower. So good.
  19. Second session of kayaking this year. First session was 8th of March. Good to be out again. Brought my ukulele with me and chanted Gayatri-mantra for 45 min on a beautiful island nearby. Altogether I was out for 3 hours. Paddled around two islands. Beautiful weather. So nice. Did a cold shower when I came home, and later in the day I did 20 min of vinyasa flow yoga.
  20. Yesterday: Chanting Gayatri-mantra for 15 min and then 30 min yoga. Today: Same as yesterday.
  21. Yesterday: Spa with 3 cold-baths.
  22. Yesterday: Spa and cold-bath Today: 30 min yoga and a cold shower.
  23. Cold shower today as well. So nice :-D
  24. Cold shower today. So nice :-)
  25. Also yesterday: Going to the spa and doing cold baths, and then 30 min yoga at home later in the evening. Today: Going to the spa again and doing 3 cold baths along with saunas and warm-baths. I signed up for one month at this spa which is just right around the corner from where I live, so that will be a really nice way to inspire and prolong my practice of cold-exposure (supported by the other really nice spa things like saunas and warm-baths). Seems like there is still nervousness and anxiety left in my system that any good tools that can help me relax deeper are very much appriciated. Relaxing in the warm water after doing cold-exposure in the cold-bath is just wow, so damn nice. The atmosphere there is also so nice and relaxing. Like a temple. I feel like I'm still addicted to cold water. I need a frequent hit of it.
