1. I am very confident in saying that man ought not to seek out the psychedelic experience. Man ought to live mindfully.
2. Why not work through your stuff while sober? That's how you have to do it in the end, anyway. You can't avoid going through withdrawal. You can't avoid your karma, which is your life. I've tried psychedelics. I know what it's like to have "the most profound, life-changing experience of your life". But, in the end, it's not truly life-altering. In the short run, you may feel gratitude and awe. But, in the long run, psychedelics cause more suffering, because they reveal the immense contrast between your dirty psyche and pristine consciousness. Ignorance would have been preferable. You can become more mindful and self-aware as you live your life; again, that's the only way it works, anyway. In that way, the suffering might not be so overwhelming, because then you're getting what you need at the time you need it. People may feel as though they're healed, for they're coming in contact with the immaculate source of reality -- that which is whole and never needed healing to begin with. That's a temporary experience that can't permanently heal people. The fragmented psyche will come back. It always comes back. I don't think you need psychedelics for that. What you need is life itself. Those insights are powerless without behavioral change. And what helps you change your behavior is the crucible of life.
3. I rented the movie on YouTube. I enjoyed it.
4. It's a nice feel-good movie.
5. I think I understand them: psychedelics simulate a spiritual path. You think you're doing something profound while committing the ultimate self-deception.
6. I haven't seen an example of it working. What exactly is it supposed to work? Psychedelics don't make you more conscious, and they certainly don't have the power to heal anyone. Psychedelics can't give you anything; they can't change you -- they're the most powerful ineffective "tools" ever.
7. Tools for what exactly?
8. This video has been popping up in my recommended for a while. I finally decided to click on it. It's funnier than expected. "You think I'm joking, Potter?" ??
9. Any Potter fans here?⚡
10. What's cooler than only being with yourself, forever? To be aware of the fact that you're only with yourself, that's the greatest spiritual power. Actually, it's not even a spiritual thing. It's a very down-to-earth human thing. As human beings we must accept the fact of our ultimate aloneness.
11. If everything is consciousness... That's not even true.
12. Consciousness work does open you up to darker realms but also lighter realms. When you do consciousness work, you're taking an elevator down into consciousness, and you'll go through many layers of the unconscious. Don't get stuck in the heavens and hells of the mind. You want to descend to the ground floor of your being.
13. The performances are nothing special. The story ain't great neither. I watched the movie because it's on WGA's 101 Greatest Screenplays of the 21st Century list, but I think it's worth skipping.
14. The movie ain't no good, but the redneck dialect is enjoyable. Turns out that dialect is called Appalachian English. It's the reason why Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men is one of my favorite books.
15. I'd like to add that I don't advocate psychedelic use. I think they're dangerous, and ultimately not necessary or even beneficial.
16. You can use this tag to hide text:

17. That's why it's hidden.
18. My thoughts on the ending: Spoiler ⬇️
19. I try not to insult the owner. Yeah, their minds are ensnared by those "lessons".
20. As far as I know, there's no place like this.
21. Because he is not the ultimate authority on consciousness. I don't.
22. These outbursts are necessary for him to maintain his unwarranted authority. It's highly entertaining, though. If he wrote a whole book in that style, I'd read it.
