The Mystical Man replied to The Mystical Man's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Ego didn't create itself because it doesn't even exist. Only God exists. While ego doesn't have existential reality, it manifests in the thoughts that you think, the emotions that you feel, the things that you say and do. Ego isn't a solid entity. Ego is what you do to resist reality, to refuse what is, to deny God. -

Well, he is the god of his own illusory world, which is hell. Satan declared: "Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven." -

God didn't create the devil. The devil created itself by refusing the reality of God. God has nothing to do with the devil; God doesn't even know about the devil, which is why devils feel forsaken by God, forgetting that they are the ones who forsook God. -

I'd say it's temporary relief from suffering. Eventually, you'll have to deal with what you've tried to get rid of, for suicide does not lead to the desired resolution; in fact, it causes even more suffering which will need to be resolved. Everything is seeking resolution. People do unwise things, thinking that their actions will bring about positive results, only to realize that there is no upside, only downside. I'd say committing suicide is one of those actions.

Go through this situation with more dignity. Communicate your needs, and if your needs aren't respected, end all communication. Don't call him back. Ignore him.

I'd call it "trying to get rid of it", which will remain unsuccessful. In the end, you have to learn how to surrender properly. You can learn it in this lifetime, or you can make a mistake, wise up, and choose again in the next lifetime. Life is always telling you, "Choose again."

I love tragic characters. There's a sad beauty to human suffering and tragedy. Yes, it's love filtered through a fragmented psyche. I love stories that deal with love, hate, and fear; they're profound.

Suicide has nothing to do with letting go; in fact, it's an expression of holding on.

No. There are zero pros to suicide: "There’s always, always a reason to stay alive, even when you can’t see it or believe in it." - J.K. Rowling Rowling also believed that her life would never change, but it did change tremendously. I'm not saying that you'll be rich and famous, but I do think that ten, twenty, thirty years from now you will be happy that you didn't commit suicide. But you do have to take small actions, baby steps. I want to share this thread with you:

Do not try to turn yourself into an extrovert. You'll just try to live up to some image of what an extroverted person looks like and it won't be authentic. Just be authentic. Your life would be better if you accepted who you are. You don't have to talk to people more than you have to. The minimum of socializing is fine in my book.

"The basic rule of the psychic universe is that “like attracts like.” Similarly, “love promotes love,” so that the person who has let go of a lot of inner negativity is surrounded by loving thoughts, loving events, loving people, and loving pets. This phenomenon explains many scriptural quotations and common sayings that have puzzled the intellect, such as, “The rich get richer and the poor get poorer,” and “Those who have, get.” As a general rule, therefore, people who are carrying the consciousness of apathy bring poverty circumstances into their lives, and those with a prosperity consciousness bring abundance into their lives." Hawkins, David R.. Letting Go (p. 19). Hay House. Kindle Edition. "If we hold in mind that we are small and unworthy, we elicit those kinds of responses from others, whose remarks tend to indicate that we are small and unworthy. If we think we are only worth a crust of bread, then that is what we will get. This is what the scriptures mean by the statement, “The poor get poorer and the rich get richer.” Poverty on any level, not just financial, comes from inner poverty, just as outer wealth comes from inner wealth. If we want others to stop being critical of us and attacking us, the answer is to begin letting go of guilt and all the feelings that have brought it about." Hawkins, David R.. Letting Go (pp. 261-262). Hay House. Kindle Edition.

I think what you call pure abstraction is what I like to call pure potentiality. That's how I experienced God: as an infinite field of pure potentiality. -

That's basically the law of attraction, isn't it? Wallace D. Wattles taught that: "There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe. A thought, in this substance, produces the thing that is imaged by the thought. Man can form things in his thought, and, by impressing his thought upon formless substance, can cause the thing he thinks about to be created." -
