  1. As the ratio of self-actualized people in a society increases, the form changes from a pyramid into more of a sphere. Even today we can choose to organize ourselves into groups where people do mostly what they want to do, but only if we're open to that as a possibility.
  2. I think most humans are suffering greatly, but we turn a blind eye to it. People can pretend to be content for a period of time, but eventually the effect of not living in alignment with your true, deep desires catches up with you. Imagine all the suffering that may take place unconsciously, or in silence, especially in the later years of life. In nursing homes. On the deathbed. And does determinism count as suffering? When your life is run mostly by the coping mechanisms of the unconscious mind rather than by the free choice of the conscious mind, then that's like failing to show up to your own life!
  3. I think most people wouldn't benefit from drinking urine because it does have waste in it. But what a lot of us aren't taking into consideration here is how clean a person can get their urine to be with diet, etc. Or you could simply drink distilled, structured water and remove whatever "blockages" and "parasites" through a wide variety of other practices. I don't see why sailing the golden river so to speak is going to offer anything to one's spirituality that they can't do through other means. @Mikael89 Let's not be obtuse. Try some shamanic breathing or body awareness.
  4. @Mikael89 I see that you're engaged in many different self-deception/ego defense mechanisms. It's so intense, that your fundamental attitude, your ideas, the implications made by your ideas, and practically every word you use is indicative of it. You engage in name calling and your attitude the entire way has been dismissive and passive-aggressive. The fact that you respond with such a low mentality when something radically new emerges in your circle of awareness is a clear self limitation. First, you didn't contribute anything of value. But when pressed, you spent 10 minutes copy pasting mainstream articles, and asked for the thread to be locked. No, that's not how it works. If knowing the truth on anything was as easy as spending 10 minutes looking for something you already agree with, we would all be enlightened masters. Did you think to ask questions? Questions like: Are people who are into the most extreme holistic health methods also into prescription pills? The toxins and bacteria, and other harmful things in urine, where do those come from in the first place? What is it that determines how bacteria affects your body? Does the matter require 10 minutes of research, or should I invest a meaningful amount of time and attention into research? Do I care about truth or do I care about my own agenda? That last one is especially important. If you cared about truth first and foremost, almost everything you contributed to the thread would look entirely different. "I'm not attacking or judging," followed by attacking and judging. A link to the Wikipedia on "delusion." That's absurd on its own, but especially so considering the huge delusion of the previous sentence. Thinking that your time has been wasted by research, as if researching is below you. Thinking that 10 skeptical minutes counts. Thinking that the thread should be locked because you said so, as if your opinion is really that special. Touting that you question your beliefs, which is the one thing you didn't even get close to doing. I'm not a passionate urine drinker. In fact I've never heard of this practice before in my life. My hot take is that chances are it's more of a bad idea than a good one for the majority of people, but I don't claim to know. So it's not a personal thing, I just noticed and decided to point out the complete mess that I saw in your thought process on the off chance it makes you more self-aware.
  5. I skimmed it and saw plain old name calling, circular reasoning, false claims (correct me if I'm wrong, but Leo never said he has no ego), projection...it's a minefield and a fortress of cards. Of course I also wonder why Leo made this post. He says it's hilarious and amusing. Hmm...that sounds kind of like a defense mechanism, but hey, whatever. I think this rant could also be seen as a learning opportunity. A lesson in the thoughts and emotions of paradigm lock.
  6. People can find themselves in modes of existence outside space and time. It's easier to understand it through experience than trying to wrap your head around it. You make an attempt to think about it this way: you have only ever experienced consciousness. The idea that the universe is originally matter and consciousness arose from it is an idea that you learned about...within your consciousness. This entire time, your world has been purely a consciousness experience. As Alan Watts called it, a happening. Even your body is an idea within your consciousness. It's an idea of a thing that you are anchored to and have a lot of control over. But even this isn't concrete, as you can have out of body experiences. The only thing that has ever existed is consciousness, and you can't prove otherwise without a framework of assumptions. When you get underneath all assumptions, all beliefs, what's left is the naked truth. Even what's written here can't really come close to communicating the truth because it's using language and thought. The truth is untouchable via language and thought because it's what precedes form itself. Thinking about it and talking about it won't work. To see the truth, go within, into the origin of the happening.
  7. @non_nothing Anyone, at any given time, has something they will enjoy doing. I have an idea that you are apathetic, which is different than awareness, and shouldn't really be called laziness either. I'd recommend taking a close look at yourself and the position and feeling of your body. Do you naturally take on good posture? Do you have enough energy? Do you think clearly? Do you love living? Are you bored? If you close your eyes and reflect upon the feeling of the inside of your body, particularly in the chest area, what kind of imagery comes up? What form and qualia does the inside of your body have in your mind's eye? You might visualize a sun inside your chest, or a piece of rock, or a deep hole, whatever. Investigate this form in detail, imagining you are using all 5 senses, plus observing what thoughts are there. The more awareness you give, the more detail you'll get. You can also ask it questions. Information and personality might be there that surprises you.
