@Dodoster i think pure consciousness is ethereal nothingness with intelligence. You are NOW spirit in the form of body/mind. However you are basically still pure consciousness as the true self. You can do whatever you want and be whatever you want to be. You don't have to struggle and suffer like others because you've awoken to your true nature. You don't have to worry about death, because that's a gateway to new things, new existences, new manifestations of spirit, similar to your human manifestation. You are in form as spirit because You got sick and tired of being formless and wanted to mix it up a little. Let's have fun in this Form and not take everything so damn seriously, folks!

Ramu replied to FirstglimpseOMG's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The big shift in consciousness occurs when we move from ordinary waking consciousness to witness consciousness. From identifying with body and mind to becoming the witness of body and mind. -
@Deep There is only one Consciousness. There are no individual consciousnesses for each person. That's why we are ONE.

@Dodoster Good for you man. I guess it all depends on taste but I think metal is pure chimpery. Mass produced for the unconscious masses, may they be blessed. -

I agree. Heavy metal or country is so depressing to listen to because its all gloom and doom and puts me in a shitty mood. I'd rather listen to something uplifting and cheerful that's upbeat and positive. But when my coworkers listen to that crap I just tune out and think about Matt Kahn's lectures or other spiritual things. -
@Dodoster Hey bud, hope its going well with you. Realizing you are god happens....uh...like...after realization. Let's break this down a bit though. Most rational people confuse spiritual people with being religious. That's mistake one. I'm very spiritual but won't TOUCH religion with a ten foot pole. Shouting that you are god to an unsuspecting public would be proselytizing right? That's why we have religion. The message was mistaken, although the intent was genuine. You can know you are god and that's fine, but there's a reason the sages, mystics, gurus and such keep it to them self and its not because of ego.

@Driven Woman In addition, I have had the "oh my GOD!" moment. I had a mind blowing epic moment when my ego dissolved and realized I was reality itself. This was not a kundalini awakening, but it has been gradual over the decades with SIGNIFICANT glimpses that have been ego shattering and stunning. I never chose the path, but even as a small child I've had spiritual experiences like "remembering myself". I'm no longer a naive realist, and I've made it so far on this path, that it is impossible for me to ever go back asleep. Impossible. Namaste.

@Driven Woman Hi! What you're saying resonates 200% with me. However, I think its a mistake to send the Leo video. The reasons? First, they won't be able to group all the spiritual teachings together to make any holistic sense of it. You may have noticed that Leo's weekly episodes are put together in a way that builds upon each one. Thus spiritual path is so esoteric they may just think its philosophy. My sister, who I love dearly has a little bit of a altruistic holistic side, but she is at heart a scientist, and a rationalist, and her eyes kind of glaze over when I try to explain some of this stuff. I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm somewhat delusional. The bottom line is that the spiritual path chooses you, not the other way around.

@LRyan Hes behaving like a rationalist with a scared, threatened ego, shivering under the blankets frightened of the thunder and lightening I used to react negatively to spirituality and used to throw that category in with religion and call them wackos. Why??? Because it threatened my naive realism paradigm. Rationalists will lash out with ANGER at this stuff. Because when you boil it down, what is anger and resistance? Its fear! The ego doesn't want to HEAR IT! The more ego is exposed to this Truth, the more it dies a little bit every day. Do what a Master does and bless your psychologist. Then move onto another one that's more aligned with your needs. I hope your PTSD gets resolved. Much love, Ramu.

@Falk Man oh man Falk I wish we could be coworkers. Everything you said resonates 100%. At some points during the day, I just have to turn off and think about my spiritual practice, and do what a Master does and just bless everyone. Its just unconscious behavior Their unconscious behavior IS your spiritual practice. Keep at it. I'm keeping at it, although no one is asking me or you to be spiritual superstars. Some days are easier than others. To me now, I'm STUNNED by how unconscious people are. I'm starting to avoid watching nightly news. Instead they should call it Nightly Gossip and Senseless Violence. I guess as long as you see the media and unconscious behavior for what it is, you develop your awareness and spiritual practice.

@LRyan Yes, I do experience resistance to this, but with me its having to deal with silly ass, unfocused coworkers. Its annoying hearing the same joke over and over and other petty bullshit. My cure for this is to keep to myself and keep quiet. Meditation is also extremely helpful. Its like protection from annoying petty people. Its hard trying to be the spiritual superstar that no one is expecting you to be.

Ramu replied to Hero in progress's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Echoes Thats right! You should check out headless.org. Inspired by Douglas Harding who wrote The Man with No Head. The site has experiments, such as The Pointing Experiment where you point to a distant object and then point to where you think your head is. Sorry! No head, and no face. You are nothingness, (Source), experiencing itself. You are Nothing and Everything simultaneously. Namaste. -
Ramu replied to Galyna's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Galyna its hard to think about sometimes, I mean I did have an experience of losing my ego. I smoked an etheogen and within 20 minutes it occurred to me that I was the inside of my condo....the Ramu had disappeared. In that case I felt like a blank walking around or more like reality witnessing itself. -
Ramu replied to Galyna's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Leo's rant on Naive Realism was awesome too. I must have listened 10 times. Its tying in nicely with where I'm moving with this thing. I.e. when I leave my house and go to work my house becomes a thought, really. Just for example. -
Ramu replied to 100rockets's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@100rockets be careful because when your ego dies, guess what happens? You and reality merge as one. Its pretty strange walking around "being" the universe. You will never return to the old "you". Its very emotional and jaw dropping as well. Namaste. -
Ramu replied to Gurunext's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Gurunext yes, but ego isn't real, its a made up projection that passes down generation after generation unfortunately. Awakened, you will see that there is no "you" to work on. When the delusion of ego goes away, you instantly become reality. You become it. There doesn't need to be an extra individual identity added to function in the world. Words of caution: when you do merge and realize... you realize you can't go back to old ways of navigating the world. When it happened to me it occurred during a contemplative walk. I was stunned and shocked like never before. This is an experience that will change your LIFE. IT is profound. -

@Dodoster or the bus -
Well, now that my ego is dead, the glimpses I had were spot on. It feels strange and I never thought for one moment that ego death would, in effect, make me become nothingness and empty. In buildings, I see the objects and I'm not there, just pure awareness. I'm now this blank presence that goes here and there seemingly with some person. I look down and see the phenomenon of a body that I used to identify as Eric. Now its just sort of coming out of nothing. To summarize: its completely turned everything 180 degrees. Holy crap! By the way, if my words don't express it, I'm blown away and there's no turning back. Even though five days ago I wasn't where I am now... its orders of magnitude different.

Ramu replied to Vercingetorix's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Vercingetorix im usually doing self inquiry while I walk around, when I'm on the bus, etc. At least 2 hours a day give or take a few hours here and there. My meditation habit could probably use a boost. Occasionally a side effect of meditation is irritation, verbal aggression or obnoxious behavior towards anyone around me. Paradoxical side effects, although it doesn't happen every time. Strange isn't it? However longterm effects of meditation is calmness and less reactivity. I don't get stressed with assinine behavior like I used to. That's been a permanent change.
