  1. Psychedelics will humble us if we aren't willing to die ill attest to this :'(
  2. This makes it sound like Eckhart doesn't have a normal human mind...What do you think, he was born with this depression? From my own experience with depression, I see it as a build up of pain/trauma which changes your state of mind and perpetuates All suffering or depression does is make it easier to surrender. Don't forget that even with self inquiry, there will be constant surrendering to the unknown for liberation @Tony 845Your anxiety just might lead you to enough suffering for some deep insight into your true Self minus the self
  3. Unconditional love is ...without thought it’s that which becomes aware of the movement of mind ...without accepting or denying what is
  4. @ShugendoRaread for yourself maybe? It was my first spiritual book I read and without any prior spiritual knowledge it gave me a glimpse at truth or enlightenment experience The book is merely a pointer. I would also give credit to my great deal of suffering/acceptance/surrender at the time the problem with throwing your whole life story out the window is it tends to come back as the mind likes to bring this newfound Truth into the story
  5. Server kicking me off this site. Anyone know what to do? Past few days on multiple devices
  6. I can totally sympathize. These tests in life can be seen as blessings in disguise. Something I think we can both attest to Glad to hear you’re falling into alignment with a healthy body. One of the biggest changes I’ve made in the past few years is listening to my body. As I get older and would like to continue my passions, looking after my temple (body) becomes a priority Godspeed recovery and may this be a spiritual cleansing ? ps that food pic looks DELISH!!!
  7. hmm what is the sense of I am'ness for you? To embody this sense is what it means for me. What is the difference between infinite and human love?
  8. I agree. Insight is always going to be here now. Insight is action, an ongoing process, different from attaining knowledge/wisdom @John West often insight comes when we become aware of “low consciousness” behavior notice yourself subtly trying to control your “level of awareness” which is counterintuitive to insight when we get too focused on this “level of awareness” or presence which is much easier to sit with during a retreat etc , we create “separation” in our “states of mind” and this becomes a barrier for further insight into our true self
  9. CONFLATION!!!!! ? What fun we can have with all this existential/spiritual jargon!
  10. @Jack River people can misinterpret enlightenment all they want, they can try to define it, demonize it or whatever but it’s just a word used to describe the Truth beyond words/experience and that’s just my belief ?
  11. @Jack RiverFosho dude Enlightenment is an idea and it does not point to experience
  12. @How to be wiseI like your quote though what the ego tends to do is limit our self worth to merely the image in the mirror along with all the accumulated thoughts that go with it. This limits are very being and connection to all experience
  13. Jack is expressing how to understand ourselves, and in so, there is freedom to be without the grip of ego
  14. @Jack Rivermaybe so however time is not the enemy unless it is made to be
  15. It’s too funny! People do this in all aspects of life and it is simply the human condition after taking up certain beliefs. Not a step forward or a step backward, simply more filters for reality it proves you don’t need to see reality for what it is in order to be happy
  16. What does it mean to be Leo?
  17. direct experience changes unless you just sit and meditate 24/7 It’s pointing to the ever changing sensations?
  18. Wow this IS my MOM’s jam ?!!! She loves this artist, it makes me smile and reminds me I need to show her more love ❤️?
  19. Sometimes throwing in the towel is exactly what you need friend. It doesn’t mean it has to be permanent but letting go and changing your approach could be really life changing. Relinquish the illusion of control you will blossom into the unimaginable
  20. Have you had mentors/gurus? Who’s been your greatest teacher (other than yourself)? Have you given up trying to change people, especially those you love?
