  1. Terms I am not familiar with. But the kundalini is quite active on a trip. Closing my eyes would not end the seeing if it is fear that holds you back, investigate it! A trip would most likely shed light on any fears you are unwillingly to face
  2. Great. Well see if it can become more than simply concepts. Have you taken psychedelics? They can be of use to the blind spots in your own bullshit
  3. Enlightenment is easy to misinterpret especially after an enlightenment experience. The mind is trying to rationalize the truth, simply inconceivable What I’m saying is it doesn’t lead to enlightenment directly. But if you are as stubborn as I was and would like to speed up the process of self understanding, it’s an amazing tool
  4. If you aren't interested or skeptical about enlightenment, then that's your preference. Please don't discourage those who are interested I’ve been interested in the truth my entire life. My psydelic trip did help, I had an awakening less than a year afterwards. I’m simply bringing attention to the “idea” of enlightenment which is the biggest obstacle for seekers ?
  5. Hehe yeah it’s incredible. My trip was an absolute nightmare, not to discourage you but yeah “most fear in my life” and yeah went way down the rabbit hole afraid to die. Brought a light to ignorance and humbled me deeply not against another trip in the future, in the right setting
  6. @Tony 845why not take them? If you feel the need to take them. Boom. Done. Forget enlightenment. It cannot even be proven, only personally. I took Shrooms early on the path for truth and it redefined my psychological understanding of “me”. Did it bring about an awakening? Nope. But it sure did shine some light on the bullshit I was creating in my life
  7. I see. What if you don’t exist and enlightenment cannot happen to you? Can you take responsibility for all the hell you’ve been flung into? I believe this is how you can accept that the suffering is the sufferer. All the decades of practice is part of the story of you. Time is also part of you can you see this?
  8. I am not familiar with ad nauseam You sound to be suffering. I know what that feels like...what if you drop the whole shabang? The mind made story of you
  9. I understand this but that sense of I am is not limited to the body, only the mind ties it.
  10. thank you but what purpose does it serve to “hold onto the feeling of i am” if it is simply going to be dropped?
  11. Good but what is the purpose of all this? What exactly are you seeking to accomplish?
  12. @Sashajyes words/concepts are misleading. Only a mind can focus and divide subject and object. What is it exactly you are trying to figure out? The question: Do I exist? if so, can you answer me this: Where is the "i" that is you, which does not exist?
  13. Im curious, why are you trying to hold the "i" feeling? that awareness that "i am" is always there in the background correct? maybe he means bring it to the foreground
  14. @Serotoninluvthanks for further explaining Reminded me of an Alan Watts quote: “There was a young man who said though, it seems that I know that I know, but what I would like to see is the I that knows me when I know that I know that I know” This is too funny! Can’t wait to take mushrooms again some day, properly enjoy the “experience” “I, a stranger and afraid; in a world I never made”
  15. Interesting and cool way to express the conditioned mind. I resonate with the way you talk about the conditioning and new/free behaviors/created memories. I just don’t know about the ego deaths you speak of? Are these from psychedelics? Or is this simply to point out the rough waters the mind creates when regaining control/identity/attachment to being?
  16. The ego-mind is a game, limited to only knowing itself. Are we consciously or unconsciously playing the character? How well do you know “your” mind? I know “mine” well enough to say it’s what separates me from you ?
  17. Yeah well i suppose it started with a shift in mentality/perspective of/relating to fear and my beliefs. I used to have the attitude --"oh great 'it's' happening to me again" "why now...i dont want to have to put my head between my legs here (in class)" -- you know, being a victim often unknowingly perpetuating the fainting process itself. I used to be afraid of getting into cold water (like even a little cold). I think this is why the "wim hof" method helped, it showed directly how fear starts and ends. The mind can do all the reflecting/rationalizing it wants but when there is fear, any/all movement of the mind is powerless in overcoming (fear) itself
  18. Also it sounds like usually a trauma is what triggers panic attacks. If you were to relive the trauma in your head would it induce a panic attack i wonder...may be beneficial I continue to investigate this in my life. Unfortunately my answer to this is unhelpful and not something we don't already know. Taking a counter-intuitive measure of "letting be" the minds need for control, maybe its purpose is psychological security. To see if it can be recognized/observed within ourselves to see it for what it is. maybe its purpose is psychological security. does control=fear=desire=self? is this seen as a fact. For most of my life and since not too long ago i had a fear of blood or really anything showing in depth physical bodily harm. Certain gory movies, getting a shot, or even cutting my finger, would result in this unpleasant experience. It would create a psychological response ---fainting, loss of vision, bright blur vision, breaking into a sweat etc. (blood loss in the head). Something my mother suffers from as well. Only in the past few years have i really started to understand how it works, suppose i owe it to an expansion of awareness and self undertanding. I know how it could be triggered and why, theres no longer fear around it, and it doesn't ever have to happen again. If it did i would easily be able to dissolve it. The audio recording on this thread is about surrender. good stuff
  19. @Joseph Maynorid like to hear your thoughts on this video or thread/subject
  20. AGREED. I had this perspective for most of my life. “I think it’s fine” however once our expectations get continuously destroyed it becomes quite the roller coaster the trouble for awaekening comes when we mistakenly assume that by making the “right” choice, we have our solution to life. We must NEVER SETTLE! ??♥️
  21. you think you are being "smart" and "careful" trying to get many other opinions and perspectives relating to a teacher you find interesting...also it seems you desire a money back guarantee for "time" invested. This approach is all wrong buddy. What do you look for in a teacher, what do you want out of a teacher? It seems you are looking for someone to idol, to do the work for you, someone you can simply trust and not question their intent and perspective for yourself. The mind loves the sense of security given by following a trusted advocate. Dont just blindly give in. What's great about learning new perspectives from these sorts of teachers is you also get to learn from your own thoughts and reactions to their approach/methods. THIS
  22. All it takes is the realization you are nothing. Self enquiry. When you realize there is no sense of self to find, you are simultaneously nothing and everything. Notice how you continue to get in your own way, so it takes however long you want it to take
