Well I’m a pretty healthy dude, played sports through college and desires to go pro in soccer. Few years back when I got really serious about working out/training, I got into ice baths and researched the wim hof method. My whole life I’ve had a fear of cold water whether swimming pool, ocean or shower...but to be able to observe the sensation of cold and see how the mind makes it personal, turns it into an undesirable experience, and labels it as bad is fascinating. During the method I am forced into the NOW and from there there’s nothing else to do but focus on the breath and expand consciousness. This method has given me new perspective on all fears, including all the other emotions which we like to suppress, as well as suffering and anxiety. Ultimately all are illusions of the mind I only use the method on occasion nowadays but I can understand those who enjoy using it daily and reeping the benefits as it also promotes discipline, mindfulness and alertness

Wim Hof method is awesome. Great for physical body recovery, metabolism, immune system, and even consciousness work. One of the best ways to learn how to cope with and understand pain, gain confidence and body awareness/mind-body connection. @PretentiousHumanGlad to see you’re utilizing it

I think the important thing is to stay in alignment with your emotions/desires. Planning can be good and if can be bad...depends how and why it is done. A free mind will have some amazing visions/ideas that are often spontaneous without feeling/being forced -
I think you’re caught up in your headspace, something you can meditate on. Don’t you remember the days as a kid when you felt so free without a worry in the world? what has changed...is it possible to ground yourself in the moment? To let go and surrender to being

Unconscious are typically those which we are unaware of (thoughts of ourselves/Identity) they can create a veil for how we perceive reality. conscious thoughts which are either of practical use or are in observation of self thoughts (these typically end when we are aware of their invalidity/false division and possible disruption to the emotional state) often times thoughts of the self are carried on in “movement” due to our judgement of these thoughts, so when I say observation I mean that which understands how the movement of thought/self is in play “feeding” its own continuation

I recommend you start getting in touch with your day to day thoughts/emotions. Here’s a video about dreams: also ANGER and GUILT. Explore these emotions for one expresses overcoming while the other resistance. There’s no such thing as a WRONG emotion, so observe and be aware of your emotional state so you can find peace Ty ? -

the better you understand your own beliefs the easier it is to change the ones you don’t like. Bring more inner silence to your day to day and awareness to the undesired actions. Explore what is leading you to the anxiety/fear/worry/doubt

Yes it’s the movement of thought/self as long as you are still identified with your thoughts they will continue to run your life
-
Yes at a certain level this particular video drew me to his work. Great stuff I’m pretty sure the video offered certain techniques am I right? The problem most people face is fantasizing about how they’d like to act but never putting in the implementations/strategies. When we are identified with one who acts a certain way in a given situation then we can’t simply change because of a desire without feeling some kind of resistance. This is where enlightenment work really comes in handy because we are no longer clinging to a specific belief system. Use 24/7 meditation or awareness: take it one step at a time, observe yourself in specific situation and become aware of the mechanical nature of your actions thoughts and feelings. The more conscious you become “in the moment” of these tendencies, the more space you will create for yourself and the more authentic your interactions will be

glad you liked it @isabel. it probably wont sink in over night. It's quite deep! It was years ago i listened to Alan (for the first time) and when i returned, it was as if i was finally (really) hearing him for the first time You (ego) will always be the best teacher -
i had a dream the other night and it was literally like...i just discovered the sky is a projection, verified with my own eyes...the sky was shifting like tectonic plates and it looked completely fake ....then the 'flat earth' paradigm was verified by a friend....most bizarre dream any particular reason why a moon would emit cold light? im curious....

It sure doesn’t. That’s why it’s so important to see the limitations and meaning behind the use of such descriptors -
DrewNows replied to Aakash's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Aakash Relinquishing the illusion of control so to speak...or the ending of this “game” is also an illusion when the game is seen clear as day only then will this “giving up control” or “going beyond the mind” happen/make sense sometimes we must first explore and pursue our desires and those things which we may be avoiding out of fear so to scratch the never ending itch in our mind -
It’s all about what perspectives we take when looking at the context. Attachment/identification to an action that’s part of your sense of self. I don’t particularly like “sacrifice” as it often is confused with “suppressing”
-
I’d like to hear infrastructure of tier 2 personal development @Serotoninluv

Obviously shadow issues aren’t a part of enlightenment..:no matter how deep, they are of an identification perfection/imperfection distinctions of the mind and have no relevance to awareness/being/true self

Everyone has challenges in life, imagine a life without them? ? once you start to see yourself in everyone, your enlightenment may be showing This video will give you some good clues to understanding ego -

I’ve recently been facing similar challengers of the spiral down effect @isabel it’s very hard not to simply revert back to normal ways of identification judgement critizing analyzing worrying...but when negative thoughts and emotions arise “let them be” and see if you can become conscious of it all just as you were when you turned your life around. weather the storm, you must. It is all happening for a reason and It is possible to be in a places where you are no longer attached to outcome. Give yourself a break, breath and feel the pain, surrender ?
