I was being completely serious with my post. Regarding the insight into Eternity. Did you have it now, or not? It's the insight that whatever you are will NEVER end. And you FEEL the Abyss. There's nowhere to hide and nothing to escape to. Of course, it only looks scary out of the perspective of a limited self. But that's irrelevant for the experience.

@Dodo Thanks for sharing some of it. Sounds adventurous. I had similarly intense experiences, so this doesn't sound too outlandish to me. From my perspective all you experienced was real and there'll come a time when you'll accept that. I speak from personal experience.

I can do it up to a point where I feel totally ecstatic and a whole lot like being on a good dose of MDMA When your stomach begins to feel like butterflies and your heart begins to beat faster and faster you know it's working. The feeling may manifest itself as fear at first. That's resistance, because your ego knows that this practice will eventually dissolve it. Just stay with the fear and don't be afraid of it. At some point it will open up and reveal its true nature, which is excitement.

Very good! You don't have to hold your breath but it can help at first. Now, Imagine a butterfly of pure energy that's flapping its wings. Each flap is one beat of your heart. And now imagine the whole butterfly, that's even there in-between your heartbeats. Can you feel the being of that butterfly? If you recognize it, your heart begins to beat faster. It is exhilerating. At one point it is possible to experience your heart as a constant HUMMMMM instead of individual beats. THAT's the Butterfly

Death can only be infinity because infinity is all there is and death's an illusion. Death is a portal to infinity out of the perspective of a limited self.

Feel the beating of your heart in your chest. Can you feel how a heartbeat feels? What's the emotion that's condensed in each and every beat of your heart? How does it feel? You don't have to answer these questions, just feel & enjoy.
