OK point remains though people only really go and get value when they have highly specific career purposes.

There's the "general" benefits of extracircular experiences, growth, meeting new people, and expanding your mind to new horizons, but let's be real a lot of that just naturally happens anyways between the ages of 18-24, with or without school, school just allows you to focus on it fully because someone else is paying for your life (parents or debt).

Then there's the few serious people who pay for their own education even at that young age. They're exceptional.

Let me guess, you didn’t go to university? Plenty of people get plenty of value for plenty of different reasons.

Also, some countries have a less shitty education system than US & don’t put you into thousands of dollars of debt.

  2. Had similar experience with kratom, which isn’t an opioid per say but almost. What I gathered from it is that opioids are trash and I have zero desire to use any of them ever.

I've heard that mastery takes 5 years, but greatness takes 10-20 years.

This is false. Mastery doesn’t have an end point. You will never achieve greatness. Yeah people that aren’t as far on the path will call you great but you yourself will never achieve greatness. There’s always more to learn. Forever. Fall in love with the process.

    You aren’t late at all.
Go wild. Discipline yourself & do the work.

  4. Learn to rap over recordings ahah! I don’t know french rappers but surely they must exist.

There’s a book by Theodore Dimon. It’s called Your Body, Your Voice. I strongly recommend it to everyone that has a voice. If you want to be less monotonous, more resonant & have more range in your voice this is the book of all books. Very grounded & practical. It’s basically a thorough break down of the anatomy of the voice with diagrams & a few practices to slowly rehabilitate it in a full-body, holistic & functional way.

@Rigel what do you mean by "Give & receive. Never take."  i didn't get what you mean. What is the difference between take and receive?

You're right about being emotional. That's why talking with artificial intelligence is so unpleasant.

I mean give & if it’s reciprocated, fantastic. If it’s not, fantastic. You aren’t diminished by or aggrandized in anyway.

People can be socially anxious because they approach the interaction from a place of deficiency and are unconsciously looking for approval to fill it. Expecting approval from others is a form of taking. It’s transactional.

I mean give & then receive the outcome in whatever form it takes.

I don’t know, receiving & taking feel very different to me.

Taking is selfishness & neediness. Receiving is reverence, gratitude & appreciation for the mirroring of your own loving output.

  6. Just like anything you get good by doing it a lot with an intention of learning & mastering.

    Open mind

Open heart; be emotional goddamn it

Put yourself in uncomfortable situations until they are comfortable & then push it even further. Few people discussions -> crowd interaction -> public speaking.

Get rid of all neediness. People will give themselves for free when you no longer need them to. Give & receive. Never take.

  7. The highest sleep score I ever got was 81. Usually under 80 even when I sleep 8+ hrs. I don’t understand how to max that out. Subjectively speaking it’s clear that I could be more rested so I am not surprised that I have bad sleep score. What I think is non negotiable to get half decent sleep is exercising. Cardio, strength & flexibility. But it clearly involves more than that. Haven’t figured out what that is yet.

  8. What is it about this community that we are not revolted by these teachings? I struggle to understand why most people would get outraged by these ideas. Or not give a fuck. That’s also a common reaction.
It’s close mindedness but why are people close minded? Do they not understand that you can hear & entertain a thought without accepting or rejecting it?

I have completely stopped mentioning Leo to anyone over time. It was never productive when I did in the past.

  9. I always get a phase of pacing around my room & talking to myself like a lunatic when I am tripping. Yesterday that happened & I was acutely aware of the sheer bullshitery of it. I was talking for 3hrs straight & noticing that none of my wording of the insights I was having were the actual insights. There’s no work around consciousness but thinking is also consciousness. There’s a meta awareness to be had here. Thinking is not bad per say but sometimes only silence will do it.

I've recently become obsessed about observing how leaves change throughout the seasons, especially when they're at their peak before showing signs of decomposing. "When is it going to happen?" And virgin leaves. And of course, autumn leaves.

    « The falling leaves
    Drift by the window
    The autumn leaves
    Of red and gold

    I see your lips
    The summer kisses
    The sunburned hands
    I used to hold

    Since you went away
    The days grow long
    And soon I'll hear
    Old winter's song

But I miss you most of all
    My darling
    When autumn leaves
    Start to fall »
