It´s not the only game in town, sure. But in my experience is the only game worth mastering. What is the goal of the other game? Where does the understanding or being 'conscious' ends? @Leo Gura It doesn't make sense to me that you say that the end of suffering or bliss, doesn't mean you are Conscious. We are talking about states of Being, right? About Consciousness being on a certain level of activation, of entanglement vs of Liberation. When you say 'one is deeply Conscious', we already then are talking about an individual holding information or data in their mind about something. I get this might be useful for any kind of material mastery, but what this have to do with Spirituality? -

Normal sitting meditation is not effective/potent enough as Leo have said (at least it it won't be for most people IME), because it lacks an intensity/concentration/energetic raising aspect, that other spiritual tools such as Yoga or Kriyas can deliver. I agree with Leo in the topic about being in modern society makes almost impossible to 'abide' in an absolute state of consciousness. As much as I endorse and praise the practices I´ve learned this last year, I 98% suspect that it won't be until I go to a retreat/ashram that things will start to become really interesting. I wouldn't call it a waste of time but yeah, most people habit of meditation does seem like a weak spiritual tool. You have to take in mind that just because you close your eyes and sit does NOT MEAN you are meditating. For meditation to happen a certain activation of your energies/consciousness must be there, while at the same time the body completely relaxed. This is why at least in the Yoga tools I´ve learned, meditation is only left at the end, intended to happen as a result of the previous practices that have been done to raise/pump up energy system. At that point when you close your eyes and hold a mudra, bum, is instantaneous. And once the energy system starts to go down you should get up the cushion and continue the day, don't keep pushing it because from that moment it will be a 'waste of time' as you have said. If there is no intensity there will be no awareness, just peaceful resting. (Peaceful resting is nice, but you can achieve that with a massage, no need to meditate lol ) -

@Water by the River You forget that in this forum a lot of people are too cool for this selfish normie motivation of avoiding suffering/going towards freedom. They already said they don't mind suffering, they are so above of us normies just wanting to be blissed out with our mind totally empty. God! How we dare...choosing as the high goal to be just a simple peace of life as long as everything within is completely 'set up' and at ease. We would sell our brains with all the data and information for just the Empty Bliss. Such a traition to God. How simple we are...how spiritually inferior developed we are for having such selfish simple priority.... -

The genetic freak started doing yoga with 12 years old from a guru of his town What was I doing with 12 years old? I don't know about you but I was just starting frying my brains out with videogames, porn, and next years drinking and smoking as any of my peers on school. See, there is no question that some people by luck get born in certain ambience that makes them favourable for spiritual purposes, but also, if one does not do the right things, you can't neither expect to get the results. I am not saying that Sahdguru was not born in a privileged ambience, but saying that it is a genetic freak assumes he has something in their brain that you do not have. This is deeply hurtful and damaging for anyone that wants to do anything of value in this work. And the word doesn't even make sense. The skill that influences your state of consciousness or Awakening doesn't have anything to do with genes lmao We getting to a preposterous level of creating and projecting differences on our minds, we starting to attribute memory (genes) to consciousness? Really? -
Of what work?

This seems a lot like bro science. But I won't ruin your party, if it's works for ya

Is not about forcing yourself because of morality. Is about if your baseline level of consciousness and energy is in a certain way, the desire and craving of sex is just not really there. @Leo Gura seems to me that What you are talking about is that classical forced renunciation of sex like happens in Christianity or in Buddhist as you say (or in any person that goes to an ashram for that matter). Of course I agree in that sense... probably a good chunk of those people are horny as fuck (although I believe reducing habitual stimuli has to influence in being less horny)

Last week I went to grab some beers with a friend and he likes to buy a pack of smokes when he drinks (he never smokes except in those occasions). I joined him and smoke some too (I quit smoking habit some years ago already). Last week I had some stress spikes due to some unexpected situations and I had the 'great' idea of dealing with that by buying a pack. My god what a devilish shitty drug this shit is. A high that lasts seconds (literally while you are inhaling and exhaling the smoke, nothing else) and makes you actually anxious (nicotine is an stimulant). But at the same time it fasts puts you with mental chains by creating that devilish thought mechanism of 'now you have smoke after dinner, remember', 'now you have to smoke after the coffee, rememeber', 'now you have to smoke first thing in the morning, remember'. If the devil could be a drug it would be tobacco. My god. At least other drugs that might be considered hard or addictive, at least they don't give you this treatment. At least the high does not lasts seconds (minutes if you find 'appealing' the numbing and the same time anxious high that a cigarette lefts you with). This shit should be illegal. Of course I threw the pack with +10 cigarettes left out of the disgust it left me. Absolutely terrible drug.

The whole point of God to create suffering/bliss is so you are constantly inclined to Bliss/Liberation ,imo, is crazy that some of you guys want to 'reject' or 'deny' this rules, by saying there is no difference between bliss and suffering. Of course there is! The difference is imaginary? Of course. But everything is imaginary. The fact that a hammer falling in your hand is imaginary, and a blowjob is imaginary, doesn't prevent that God creates for itself that one thing will be preferable to other thing. Now...if the goal is actually to feel as Blissful as when the hammer is hitting on your finger in the same way as getting the blowjob, then kudos to you, that is next level mastery. But notice that that goal is itself again God wanting to feel good. That craving/inclination is totally inherent to the game, is the foundation of the rules. Is how the dream has coherence. Absolutely any movement of any being in reality is subconsciously aimed to move towards becoming free of the bounds/liberation/dissolution/...etc. Nothing more egotistical than the ego thinking he is above the rules and he doesn't care about bliss/salvation. -
I don't recommend it. It will just make it worse ime. But you can try it for a few times , everyone is different
-
like Leo said, reduce your intelligence/become dumb as fuck when you out socialising , it works wonders ? Tells you a lot about this society btw

Javfly33 replied to Anon212's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Is the ego's nature unfortunately. I´m tired of saying: the mind will always keep you in circles, even if this are refined, profound circles, just elegant entanglement, of understanding and profoundness, one of the sneakiest traps to escape, we all at one point pass through that one. -
@Hello from Russia It depends on where you set the bar. If one is talking about blissfulness, mastering the mind-energies, etc...and one is still dominated by the chasing-dopamine-serotonine high of sex like most of us are, then for me that means you are an absolute fake. If something is characterised by this high states of consciounesss, is that they feel way better than sex and thoughts of desire. Much better. So clearly if you a guru knows how to stay or be in those energies/states, their mind/system will not have any motive to fall into the sex game. Let's not normalise it as if is something that can exist while you are supposedly in high states of being. Because if you are having sexual desire it means you already not in that state of being, you have fallen out of it. I mean... @Leo Gura I truly expect sadhguru is not going around fucking hookers under the hood, cause then I´m really would be disappointed ??

What the heck is orange spirituality? -
Javfly33 replied to Holykael's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This is what happens when you are in a compulsive state, everything seems to happen out of result of something else, you are a casualty of external situations and karmic and past conditioning of your mind. The solution is to go from compulsion to consciousness. From mechanical to intelligence. -

Because Yoga and similar tools are very subtle. It would be impossible to explain why they work because is a school of tools consciousness very complex. Psychedelics are more direct and instant, you just take them and whatever your state of consciousness or sensitivity is, they will amp it by x1000. With Yoga is more complex. At first it seems you are just doing twists and turns with your body and breathing in a funny way, but then it starts to unfold that it is a very sophisticated tool. Understanding what a simple Pranayama technique is doing takes hundreds of hours. But trust me it is worth it, because once you learn it you have a 'key' for life to activate certain things, outside of the practice. For example I have stopped doing the technique he taughts in the course, for more than a month, but I activate certain stuff in my level consciousness almost wherever I like, with some things I've learn of my body/concentration. This kind of knowledge is impossible to taught, (because is not logical, is at the level of the body and energy pathways of consciousness), and obviously it can't be seen/imagined when you start doing the practice. I guess in this sense, yes, it requires Faith, because you have to have faith that the guy is just not bullshitting you and selling you the heavens for nothing. @Husseinisdoingfine In a sense I get what you guys are saying. You have to be in a certain place in life where those kind of practices resonate with you. If not they are just another meditation thing.

The energy activation you can produce from Shamavhi is so intense that you can become conscious in your own living room you are Sadhguru and you taught the technique to yourself. With that level of clarity, the fanatism thinking of 'another' being 'spiritually superior' to you can no longer be there. But most people are not getting there, they worship it like a superior figure, that tells you all: they haven't gotten much deep.
-
Is not sadhguru´s fault that most people are guru-worshippers. I´ve gone to some isha meditators meet-ups in my city and most of them were so fanatical about the guys work, yet I got the sense from talking to them they haven't gone much deep with their techniques. See, that's the issue. Personally after doing the technique he teaches on the inner engineering course, I do not intend to learn more techniques unless I totally master the first one. In fact this technique has Hatha Yoga, Pranayama and Energy 'tricks', why one would go on learning 5 techniques more unless they completely master this one? Doesn't make sense to me. In one presencial workshop I went, I met some people there that have learned 4-5 different Isha techniques, but again, I got the sense that they haven't gotten true awakenings. They just love to outsource their life to sadhguru. ? That's not how it works. How is this sadhguru´s fault? Is the guru worshipping endeavour that people love to become attached to (to avoid responsibility) that makes it problematic.

@Benton I respect Leo, but unfortunately he is deeply biased in this regard. He has a point in the sense that no one should just blindly believe someone off YouTube videos. Sure. But also one should be open minded and not just preach the pessimistic motto of 'He is a genetic freak'. Here's the thing, about 1 year ago I made a topic in this forum talking about an extraordinary state of Being I have achieved while coming down off acid while watching the 'Infinity Meditation' sadhguru video on YouTube. My topic title was something like 'How can I achieve this withouth drugs?" Or something like that Leo rapidly said in that topic "You were on a psychedelic are not going to achieve that on your own". Of course again the pessimistic message. 1 year fast forward, after probably +200 shamavhi kriyas, I have replicated that same state of dissolution and absolute euphoria on my own, completely sober, probably more than 10-15 times. 0 Lsd in my system while it happened. so, what? Where is the recognition of the error? I´m still waiting for it. Of course now mods will say that I´m lying? Or that I am also another 'genetic freak'? ?

Because God is not something separate from you. God can be slept in its own dream/creation, and create/manage itself unconsciously. The whole process is to go from compulsion to consciousness. Nobody will do this for you, only You It starts with accepting your full responsibility, and stopping projecting and judging others or other external thing as the source of your misery. -

I don't know, maybe he got that information from talking to people. You gotta take into account the guy spent several years traveling across India with no steady home, just his motorcycle, you can meet lots of rare people with rare information if you would do that. He never said that his work is Truth. He actually says pretty usually "don't jump into conclusions". He is overall message is more of selling Hapiness/Pleasurable state of consciousness...etc, and less about awakening/understanding/reaching something 'solid'. Is like a drug dealer, even if the guy is the biggest scumbag of the whole city, the drugs you purchase from him still will get you high, right? -
what you think are main things or habits to do to make your life incredibly profound? Psychedelics check. But apart from that? I´m talking about that kind of profoundness of experience of going to nature for some days in a row, listening to African antique music, sitting on the soil while acid comings up, everything feels alive, there is this subtle feeling that every grasshopper is a God on its own, there is a deep awe and respect for everything, you just feel blessed for breathing, everything feels mystical and sacred, wherever you look. How to make LIFE this? Withouth needing to pop acid each day of course... (Right now kids nowadays...they are completely disconnected from this. Scrolling tin Tok machines while ordering McFlurrys at McDonalds each Friday night before going to take alcohol and weed and get wasted...that´s their definition of 'intensity' lol)
