  1. In order to see what meaning really is you need to see beyond "me". What's meaningful to you is relative. Instead ask: What IS meaning? What is its essence? When you are really ACTUAL, the thought of "me" vanishes and pure reality remains. That's where you can find what IS meaning. Basically fully empty your mind from all ideas and start from 0.
  2. Imagine a very intelligent dog, who can imagine stuff. The dog needs an owner, but he doesn't have one. So he makes up a human owner out of no where to keep himself safe. The dog is the body and the owner is the mind. Natural evolution developed an animal that can imagine an owner, an identity for itself. If the body thinks it is a human/ego it can protect itself much more efficiently. It can have conceptual fears, beliefs and ideas about everything and eventually the animal can create groups and tribes with the conceptual symbolic ideas, which improves the survival of its kind much further. Identity is the product of the body as a whole. You (the false one) are not owning a body, the body owns you. The body has an identity, not the other way around. So it's a huge complex infinitely layered dream and what you actually are, is the dream itself dreaming the dream, and within that you imagine you are an idenitity, created upon a body capable enough to handle it, living within a relatively consistant law based imaginary universe. What do you think? Am I full of shit?
  3. @okulele You just inspired the shit out of me! Thank you.
  4. @The Don Honestly what is the thing you unconsciously/consciously dislike about the studying you do? What is the true reason why you "should" yourself to study? In my country, in order to get into a decent university I have to study 6-10 hours a day for a year for this huge exam. It's like it is the finals but for a whole year. I talk with myself outloud when I'm alone, so I had a long inquiry doing this for 4 hours straight until I got my shit together. First I found out the real motive/reason behind why I would like to choose studying for this exam rather than not studying for it. Then I found out what are the things I hate about studying which leads me into suffering. They were the feeling of mental work and my tendency for videogames which I got over it after months. Take a whole day to think about these, honestly. Also this video helped me a lot: I'm sure you'll get over it
  5. @LucyKid Those are really good questions about understanding meaning conceptually. What really helped me go deeper is Leo's Actuality video. Just forget everything and become ACTUAL; What is meaning Actually? Do you find any meaning in anything when you're Actual? Also I find other concepts like purpose and symbols combine with meaning when I question it at some point.
  6. Is this x or y? Is reality a or b? My closest answer to Truth would be : it's both, neither and much more. It's beyond that. It's the ying yang and much more.
  7. I've been stuck with this idea of within and without for years, but this realization finally popped this thought bubble. "Nothing is hidden. Nothing is out there" There are no thoughts "behind the eyes", there is no mind and there are no beliefs and no ideas there. There is only pure being, which I can call consciousness. I just observe what is beyond the "perceptual field". When you look at a lamp, you see its being, as a lamp. Isness being a lamp. When you turn around and stop seeing the lamp, the lamp becomes infinite possibility. Infinite being. The moment you turn back and see it again, the lamp literally gets created in the moment, in th form of a lamp. It's still infinite. It's still isness. This realization not only fucked with my materialism and realism, it destroyed the notion of introvert and extrovert. All of the "thoughts" about being introvert and extrovert are imaginary. My beliefs are mere imagination. Ideas literally don't exist. I just instantly make em up from nothing. I was never an imagiry thing called introvert or extrovert. So reality for me is what is. Nothing more and less. It both within and without, and neither of them, and even beyond them. So the question remains; where am I? Am I within? Am I without? Both and neither of them?
  8. @Shaun yep that's the problem, reality/Truth connot be grasbed by assumptions. It's always beyond.
  9. @AlphaAbundance There is the assumption that others experience reality and therefore, we got an objective world with subjective experiences within it. Wanna see what's "out there"? Forget everything and become ACTUAL and actually see what is this experience. That thing is Absolutely True, but when you describe it, it blends in with duality and creates paradoxes
  10. @Ibn Sina one of the simplest yet most effective things that can trigger mindfulness in you is breath. From now on, when ever you become aware of your breath, you will become nondual. And also watch leo's video Actuality. Even once more if you've seen it once. Being ACTUAL is like mindfulness but in a higher level of awareness. Realize that reality is actuality not subjective mind and objective world.
  11. To live content and happy in life, my conditions of happiness must be eliminated. The problem is that I need to let go of those conditions. If I'm going to live a really consciouss and happy life, I can't live a successful life. I can't set goals and at least try to achieve them. I can't have the "normal life" society is telling me to live. Living the everyday struggle to work, having a family, living and surviving until you're too old to work and then deal with your health problems until you die. In order to realize Pouya and everything and everyone was Me imagining them, I need to step outside of being Pouya living life with its struggles, and THAT feels like it will completely destroy my imaginary life and I will drown in Love and Happiness of Being. Becoming immortal and all loving Or living the ordinary life Of course a duality is created but it is very scary to even think about this.
  12. @Shadowraix materialism is my big target for distruction. After that it would be just embodying more and more truth and love.
  13. @Nahm because life is much different than what it was, in its context. This is too big to fit in an ego. I see that I put pressure on myself into being productive and achieving goals but why do them when you can inquire this beautiful thing in front of your face? That looks like it will make it much harder to achieve any desired thing. Because this is always superior.
  14. I have materialism deep in my bones. I always face its problems when inquiring. I would really like to fully trancend it but i dont know how. When ever my inquiry gets serious, i get the "it's obvious that reality is X, how else could it be" from the materialistic beliefs. So it's so limiting. I can't get over the brain. Pschycedelics affect the brain. My thoughts and emotions happen in brain. My 5 sences happen in the brain. Yes I only have subjective experience but I cant tell there is a objective world or not.
  15. At what point mere philosophy becomes truth seeking serious contemplation? What is the distinction?
  16. @Robi Steel I see what you're communicating. sometimes movements against racism sexism and gender oppression turns into the 180 degree way od the same problem. Like under valuing straight or white or men. It's goddamn equality not sucking in the attention because you're not a white straight male. I see the solution as not giving a single fuck about these useless stuff. I don't care what skin color you have, or what gender you identify with and whether you're a man or a woman. Simply stop giving a fuck people. Everyone is one with uniqueness.
  17. What is, is natural. Cities and roads and factories are natural. Being is nature. At least that's how I put it together.
  18. I've heard him talk about a new model for the mind and reallity. Something similar to a dream model or imagination of a universal mind. I find that intresting. Yep, pain, balance, sense of movement, tempreture, body position and a conceptual sense of time.
  19. @DocHoliday damn I was thinking about that too. Maybe because it seems not ok to lock the thing thats attacking you mentally. So this leads no where and it wont matter.
  20. @Serotoninluv I mean this really frees the mind to stop being distracted by sensations. Great @TheAvatarState actually I've seen perception once and the brain three times. It's gonna be true not knowing before diving deep into questioning it. Emptying the cup.
  21. @Surfingthewave because it's a huge wall between me and realizing what is me. @cetus56 oh my!
  22. @Serotoninluv I've heard people trying that, seems very effective. How long did you stay?
