  1. @seeking_brilliance I prefer the real forests so I can smell and feel them, too ?
  2. @Emerald Bea Johnson's book shows you how to save money while going zerowaste. ? Also, I think when it comes down to coorporations & politics - it's the individual people's ego involved and their very own ethical values. So, how hippocrit are we, if we are asking for systemic changes without changing our very own values first or at least at the same time? Sorry for my rant, but this topic triggers me badly ? Also, if we talk about solar panels let's not forget their disposal issues when they break or have served their lifetime!
  3. @luckieluuke ? so brave!!! Much of ? to you! Check out this strawbale house community in the UK - maybe you can learn from them? https://broadhempstonclt.com/design/ Another lovely eco-community design: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcosanti - Paolo Soleri was way ahead of "time".
  4. For all of you who can't take the time to go into magical forests - here is a Swedish one for you ?
  5. @outlandish So, wouldn't it put extreme pressure on politicians and big industries, if let's say more than 50% of people would get actively involved or at least somewhat support the zerowaste-/minimalist living & vegetarian/vegan-movements combined with using bike/trains more than cars & airplanes? @RichardY & @outlandish How about we ask why women and men need all this stuff? Aren't most of these things "emotional baggage"? Why do we need to compete for having/owning the coolest things? And here we are - back to the internal change that needs to happen. But can't external and internal change happen at the same time? ?
  6. @moon777light I'm one of those people who has recently started to go as much as possible "zerowaste"... (not easy though with a family of 4). Tomorrow we have a Zerowaste-meet-up in Stockholm (in case anyone is interested, feel free to pm me ). Also check out Bea Johnson's book "Zerowaste Home" and her bulk App: https://zerowastehome.com/2016/04/27/welcome-to-my-new-site-and-app/ In Europe, this site might be better: https://zerowastemap.org I have been vegetarian for 9 years now, going vegan soon, too. We take bikes & trains whenever possible and we only have one car that drives on Ecofuel (CNG). I was looking into buying CO2 compensation for flights, but I got upset and confused about all the options - if anyone knows of a serious organization offering that, let me know! Oh yeah, I'm also plogging regularly - it's a good workout ? You can find group meet-ups close to you all over the world nowadays, just search for Plogging on Facebook. PS: If all the yellow/turquoise thinkers have better ideas than leading by good examples that would be a wonderful discussion to watch! ?
  7. @Annoynymous ? You sound like a very brave soul! I hope you can let your light shine and contribute to change in your country.
  8. @Serotoninluv totally agree ? @now is foreveryes, and imagine if we would start such "social integration learning experiences" even earlier than 8th grade? ?
  9. How about more role-playing? Spending a week or two in "someone elses skin" should give more insights and understanding than any discussions. Maybe that could be a good idea for virtual reality businesses? ? I also love the idea of introducing more robot babies into high school curriculums. Just in case anyone is wondering what I mean with "robot babies":
  10. What is needed so people start to see and understand different perspectives better? I kinda start to like the idea of classes in school regarding feminine & masculine "issues" ?.
  11. https://mysteriousuniverse.org/2017/09/but-seriously-where-are-all-of-the-aliens/ ?
  12. @MM1988 Do aliens really exist? If they exist, could they maybe intuitively "know" about physical laws?
  13. @tsuki "I" feel you - "I" also stopped counting. The worst thing is that all the conversations here feel like self-talk, not just sometimes, but more and more. It's so easy to get trapped in the mind and in addictions... but yeah, "I" can totally see "you" as shaman ;-) I won't spoil my life purpose (maybe I already spoiled too much ), because I want to work and stay in the background as much as possible. My plan for the next 15 years is roughly outlined and ready to be adjusted on the go whenever "life" presents itself. I won't earn much money (although I have a little bit of ambition to try at least)... Whatever happens is going to be totally ok and if I happen to live that long, I plan to retire in a community (one of those with wonderful trash-art buildings and eco-gardens) or travel around the world in an RV. I'm afraid I have to say good bye for real now - somehow the I without " " has more important things to do nowadays... (but yeah, messages are always an option to brainstorm the "how's and if's" ;-)
  14. @now is forever My children ask a lot of questions about death already and it feels very natural to answer them deeply. Otherwise, I hope my guidance is a balance between protecting them and letting them free. As long as they can play in their phantasy worlds everything is going alright, I guess.
  15. @tsuki Instead of staying silent, "I" prefer to keep questioning ?
  16. This might be a question for neuroscientists/biochemists, but I'm starting to wonder whether Capsaicin (the chemical that makes chilis spicy) has any psychedelic-like effects?
  17. OK, "I" guess "we" continue this communication (which feels like "self"-talk sometimes ?) for a while until illusion and reality collaps... @now is foreveryes, "you" are right, revealing "my" life purpose would be spoiling too much, maybe in a year when the time feels right... In the past days, "I" feel like "I" got handed many notes like this:
  18. Actually, nevermind, I'm figuring it out on my own. ?
  19. @tsuki & @now is foreverKeep your discussion going, I will have to read the details and comment later ? Just wanted to leave another dream here. I was in a temple and found a map. It was leading me deep into the basement and then someone came to check if the basement was stable enough.... I seriously have the strangest dreams these days. Anyone wants to help me figure out what they mean?
  20. I wanna share a strange dream I had. I was driving a race car directly into a black hole and obviously had problems coming back out. Now, I'm thinking about the implications of that dream... I think it implies that I will start a new journal and change the title to "How do I=you=we exist?" and talk more about my life purpose, meditation habits and books I'm reading. What do "you" think? How far along are "you" guys/girls "outside" in the "real world" (versus the "virtual/addictive monkey-mind world")?
  21. @tsuki Sounds like pure wisdom! Sometimes, it feels like children are guiding "me" these days
  22. It feels like I'm about to graduate from actualized.org university (maybe just with a BSc degree though ?), while realizing that there is still sooooo much to learn (e.g., balance, not playing anymore roles, embodying awareness, solving actual problem situations while not becoming a "Zen devil").
  23. @now is forever @now is forever I miss our discussions, too. ? But to miss something keeps one stuck in the head, too, doesn't it? It distracts from being present in the moment. Also, didn't we derive together with @tsuki that all people are equal?
