  1. I started to understand that everyone is "where they (and I!!!) are supposed to be right now". In a way I'm arguing with myself when I continue to argue. Can you see that? All I can do is take the arguments and reflect inwards and find out what is it that I haven't resolved for myself? And heck - yes, I still have lots of work to do! ?
  2. @Emerald aha, my next book ? Thank you, Emerald! It makes so much sense all of a sudden!
  3. P.S. Whenever I find myself judging someone, I can realize that I'm actually projecting something that I probably haven't worked through enough yet....
  4. I have found that a good way to motivate people is to be a good role model. I noticed that when I start giving advice, people tend to feel criticized (even if it's just subtle, but still) - they probably think that I'm not able to see things from their perspective. One sentence that has stuck with me for a while now: "People tend to give you advice based on their opinion, rarely someone is able to see things from your perspective." This knowledge also helps me, when I get advice I didn't ask for ;-) So, I rather avoid giving advice nowadays and instead I try to talk about what I have realized and if I'm lucky, I can inspire someone.
  5. @Leo Gura I also want to thank you, Leo, from the bottom of my heart! When I stumbled on actualized.org about a year ago, I was still very much stuck in people pleasing and moralizing mode, while not taking enough care of myself. With your teachings I now realize relatively quickly, when I start to fall back into old patterns and I started to understand why I was always so close to burning out. I also realize much better what I still need to work on! When I first joined the forum, I underestimated you and projected quite a bit - I want to apologize for that! Nowadays, I realize the potential of being here. So many people want to grow and wake up! I sense infinite potential...
  6. I'm a silent observer of my monkeymind. As soon as "I talk back", I'm not silent anymore and I miss all the magic. Nevermind that this just came out of my monkeymind, well or who knows where it came from, lol ? ... it just wanted to arrive here, my intuition (or whatever you think it is) said so.
  7. In my humble opinion, we gain that life becomes magical again - every freaking minute of it!
  8. Nevertheless, I'm fascinated by the fact that others can see your shadow better than you can see it yourself. Feel free to tell me what you see in my shadow - I'm happy about feedback and of course, it's also completely fine, if I don't get any.
  9. And then you realize that self-agenda is a thought game, too. ?
  10. The next step is: imagine you will die in a few hours, in a few minutes, ... Really imagine it as often as possible and realize that you can take NOTHING for granted! P.S. Ups, and when I find myself giving advice, I know that I'm the one who needs it ?
  11. Imagine you will die tomorrow - do you still need a new fancy car? ?
  12. In the past couple of days, I learned that my students are some of my best teachers. And then I can let go of that thought and realize that we are all ONE anyway...?
  13. @YaNanNallari after watching some of Emerald's videos, I'm tempted to say that you might have a good point there. @Leo Gura @Emerald I would love to see a video of you two discussing this ?
  14. @Faceless You have a wonderful talent to explain this! I'm in some sort of trance/meditative state when I create. It's hard to explain. It almost feels like "someone else" is creating it, it's so weird.
  15. @Faceless Yeah - what a lovely life we would live without thinking ? ... but wouldn't that be boring? In a way it's all about balance, isn't it? Maybe I should actually rewrite my sentence above - I would say that 50% of my time these days I happily enjoy nihilism and the "there is nothing to do" feeling, but the other 50% I rather spend learning and creating. It's almost like I don't want to live in 100% nihilism.
  16. I have been doing Byron Katie's work for several years now and I can confidently say that it really works wonders!
  17. Is it because they experienced more suffering in their childhood or through a traumatic experience?
  18. @Faceless @robdl@Victor Mgazi@Charlotte Yeah, and when I looked deeply, I found unconscious motives like "trying to get attention" or "wanting to be seen" ? ... And I guess as long as we are all here, we are not quite done seeking, are we? I haven't reached the point where I can truly enjoy doing nothing.
  19. @Victor Mgazi Wait, don't get me wrong - it wasn't a spiritual practice yet at all when I had the hemorrhagic stroke. That was probably a result of stress and not taking enough care of myself.
  20. @Faceless @robdl @Nahm Maybe we can also add a few sentences about "the nature of advice" to this discussion... what do you think? ;-)
  21. @Victor Mgazi Ohhhh yes, it was hurting like hell when I tapped into the Absolute the first time. From what you wrote, it sounds like you experienced that - what do you think? I was experiencing this involuntarily many, many times in my life and it was always hurting like hell. Until one day (15 January 2017) when I starred death in the face literally (I actually had a hemorrhagic stroke / brain bleed). After that, tapping into the Absolute turned into bliss because I realized that as long as I can feel this, I'm actually alive. And since then I kept doing it more and more often, so that nowadays "I'm living this dream" almost every moment, even right now. It's the ultimate way for me to let go of my story and identity. Does that make any sense to you? When it comes to my (seriously crazy) dreams - I have only just started a dream diary and figuring out what my dreams tell me about my subconscious mind. I can usually remember them quite easily in the morning but until recently I didn't bother to "keep dreaming" once I realized I was in a dream. It opens up a whole new world....
  22. I can choose to be at peace in the present moment.
  23. @Victor Mgazi What made you think that I beat myself down if I act unconsciously? (What are you reflecting? ;-) If I were you (which I am, of course), I would read our texts again and replace every "You" with "I" or "We". I=you=we know it's unbelievable!
