@Benton @BenG Yeah I think normally most us will experience this ego inflation at some point to one degree or another, But in my experience the more you frame those experiences as being personally attributed to you as a private gift if you will, and don't mention them very much the more you can integrate the lessons into your own worldview. It will humble you when you can have deep experiences and never even mention you had them. During specific discussions on the topics, it can be appropriate to bring them up to contribute to advising others but stay mindful to not mention in a way that you assuming you are better than them but simply to help them learn and understand. We are students and teachers to each other. Generally the insights are yours to understand privately.

Here's an interesting mindfuck, Because of Oneness and that nothing is thinking, do you think thoughts are therefore shared by all people? Can a thought think that it is being known in other minds such as thought broadcasting? Since other minds dont actually exist there is only your mind, but if your mind experiences the thought being broadcasted is it actually happening that other minds can perceive the thought, as an idea in your mind? -

Thinking is a mechanism that occurs as a reflex in the mind. Its an autonomous function brought about by conditioning. Its mental activity in motion. The movement of thought is a structure the mind uses as a survival function. -

You have to be very careful with this type of inquiry. Because the ego will try to claim ownership of the thoughts and the occurrence. Meaning your sense of "I" The ego you, did not predict or cause it. It seems like the phenomena happens of its own accord. The 2 seemingly different events, Your thoughts of the earthquake and the earthquake itself were really one occurrence. Spaced out by a subtle duration of the perception of time. Humans are not separate from the the earth or their environment, its all connected and exists as your perspective. Intuition is really the closest comprehension of this type of phenomena. But even that doesnt fully answer the question. I cant claim to have the answer either but based on my own understanding this would be my conclusion. -

Personally, that was also my reason for going to college for psychology. Simply to learn for myself. I got straight A's because I already learned what they taught on my own before I even went to college, out of self interest. so I dropped out because I could just continue to self teach everything a college has to offer. You can literally find the books the classes will require the students to have and buy them yourself. You really don't need a teacher since they are all teaching right out of the books anyway. If you want a college type lifestyle you can give yourself assignments and eliminate the pressure of needing to turn things into a teacher. You'll be more autonomous, which can build self discipline. If your planning to make a career out of it, then you'll need the credentials. But if your just doing it for personal development your best to save your money. College is really just a prerequisite for most employment opportunities l,if that's your reason then I'd say go. But if not, I would say True knowledge for self interest, comes from self study.

I found 'Qualia Mind' to be the best nootropic out of the 20 or so I've experimented with. I usually didn't use it for meditation specifically. But on days I did take it, I also still engaged with meditation at some point in the day. It did seem easier to get right into the flow of the practice and stay focused for the entire duration. Its better for contemplation and productivity though, definitely concentration. Its rather expensive however. $140. I hear Modafinil is the optimum choice but its harder to get since its prescription only and U.S Customs may seize orders you attempt to mail online, at least that's what happened to me. You live in Canada so you might have better luck. Leos Nootropics video describes the alternative options for Modafinil found online. -

This is strikingly similar to a 5MeO trip I had. Hes right language will only give you mental pictures or ideas of what hes talking about. To truly Know what hes saying takes direct experience. @machiavelli I would encourage you to just do a 5MeO breakthrough dose and you'll honestly be able to validate that what hes saying is solid as fuck. -
@Michael Jackson Keep post high quality please. Guidelines, What's Not Allowed; Bullet 30: Trash-talking, trolling, chronic criticism, blaming, and finger-pointing.

If you save money long enough its possible? Theres 100s of hours of free content already. Budget yourself and do the work yourself. He basically already has taught us how to do it all on our own. You can always wait till the course comes out and talk to people on the forum about the key lessons in it anyway as Im sure people will bring it up. -
I thought the insights in the book were pretty useful for teaching habit change. Overall, useful practical knowledge for the average beginner looking to start personal development.

So when I go to the gym, usually im one of the more physically build and ripped individuals there. The first state I go into some days im fully locked into myself. Im focused, concentrated and centered on exactly what I am doing and do not pay any attention to others around me. Im feeling my own state. I feel present and not looking for any attention or communication. The second state, on other days Im still focused on myself and what I am doing but Im more aware of those around me and Im allowing my attention to notice others more and Im fine with communicating if someone comes up to me for advice, as sometimes people ask about my techniques or diet. My question is why is it that people will only come up and talk to me when Im centered and locked into my own state where I don't want anyone to bother me, but when Im in the second state no one ever comes up and says anything? Its so counterintuitive that its kind annoying to deal with because when Im in the first state, they throw off my state just by talking to me and I cant seem to return back to it with in the same gym session. So also, if you guys have any advice on how to better learn to return back to my first state after being distracted like that would be appreciated.

Psychedelics seem to be the only thing I've found, that will experientially get you anywhere to answering your question. I second 5MeO. It quite alters the entire conceptual framework of the mind. There's no "mere concept" in that space. Reality becomes something entirely different and ineffable for that duration. So when you come down from it you'll understand the difference, and that's really the only thing you can do is distinguish that there's a difference at least quality and content wise. The Awareness "Of" remains the same. -
@flyingwhalee Yeah I been using music to do it too. Just curious of any additional techniques. and I've probably already tried the obvious ones. lol

@Magnanimous Ive had friends that claimed to be able to do it. But it hasnt become a direct experience for me yet. Its not that you "unlock" anything. Its to what degree your imagination is able to fabricate the existence of it into your perspective. -
@aurum My focus isnt directed to " not wanting people to bother me, Its focused only on myself. Like I said im in the zone and centered. I dont really think about not wanting people to bother me while im there.
-
@aurum I though Law of Attraction was what you focus on comes? Not the opposite? Its suppose to be counterintuitive I guess huh? Then Im not sure what you mean about "when im not focused on a negative outcome?"
-
I do have a home gym, i may need to utilize that more often. I simply prefer the option of more equipment at the gym. Any advice of returning back to "the zone"?

As with most answers here, its mainly conditioning. The mind has developed a pattern of processing information for survival and the outcome is a constant stream of thoughts. Its become reliant on the process of thinking as if its necessary. So its become automatic, the mind finds it more comfortable to remain in that stream of thinking as it generates its own momentum and sustains itself as relating to the ego. -
Yeah it seems like an air fryer will be useful for multiple dishes to meal prep. 3 blocks at a time sounds legit. I only every purchase one block at a time as it is, since im newly getting into it.
