  1. What would happen if the brain interpreted reality different? How would you know which one is the correct interpretation? Or if everyone perceived reality distorted, would they think it is distorted or normal?
  2. ??? Oh... the truth that cannot be spoken ?
  3. Did you see this video @Gabriel Antonio on Ted?
  4. The stroboscopic thingy got my interest, look what I found. It's incredible how easy is to distort reality Try this... https://strobe.cool/
  5. Right now they have discovered in another experiment that there's no objective reality. "Physicists have long suspected that quantum mechanics allows two observers to experience different, conflicting realities. Now they’ve performed the first experiment that proves it." https://www.technologyreview.com/s/613092/a-quantum-experiment-suggests-theres-no-such-thing-as-objective-reality/
  6. Amazing! I am in shock only to read what you posted. But I think you are in the real thing.
  7. You are welcome ivan, you opened my eyes about that... didn't have idea. It's fascinating. I found another one!
  8. @ivankiss Osho talks about the crystallized self, did you read about that before? https://o-meditation.com/2012/10/28/a-crystallized-self-vs-a-big-strong-ego-osho/
  9. We have to do what we feel is best... no one can tell us what to do.
  10. St. John of the Cross wrote about it in "The Dark Night of the Soul". It's part of the process of the death of the ego (or the denial of the false self). But that's not enlightenment, that's the process to reach enlightenment or salvation. Now for me it makes a lot of sense some passages on the Bible where it says Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Now it makes sense to me that the path to salvation is full of darkness. That's why that Psalm is there helping you to cross that path and reach salvation (enlightenment.) You don't have to fear nothing, the ego will try to avoid you to reach enlightenment at all costs!!! Same thing happened to Jesus when he went to the dessert to confront the devil (ego).
  11. @ivankiss when you talked about the stroboscopic effect I found this on youtube. I didn't know how it worked until now...
  12. @ivankiss Thanks a lot for sharing that! Incredible... really really I am in shock, I can image what could have been for you. OMG. The Matrix is here. I need Neo! And Morpheus!!! And Trinity!!! Thanks again for sharing!!!!
  13. ??????? Anyway, I think we are wasting time with @Gabriel Antonio he is just creating his reality because "direct experience" is not truth. Lmao!!! The only tool that anyone can have to understand reality, is direct experience.
  14. Thanks @Serotoninluv !!! It's really interesting. Anyway there's not experiment that can replace direct experience. Experiment and science as Leo says are totally dumbfounded with the religion of materialism. :-)
  15. Nice... you didn't see my other posts. But I can see from where you are coming from. Good luck with your "search".... You also didn't answer Leo's post... it seems that you still want to create your own reality where you need "proofs" from Carl Sagan to accept it... Lmao!
  16. We investigate more and more with science and we go closer and closer to what the wise men of the antiquity had said about reality "A quantum experiment suggests there’s no such thing as objective reality" https://www.technologyreview.com/s/613092/a-quantum-experiment-suggests-theres-no-such-thing-as-objective-reality/ Of course all these are just pointers... not truth, but... all the discoveries science is doing lately don't contradict the Upanishads hehehe...
  17. We create our reality is not a myth. It's what happens.
  18. Ok, I was doing this technique and I began to lose sensation or idea of location. It was very subtle, but it happened. I will try again tonight. :-)
  19. Why you deleted my favorite thread? Lol
