@ChimpBrain Fear can take a lot of forms, maybe is not fear to the remote wilderness but fear of the reactions from your family. Anyway it is not about going to a remote place. You can do it here if you want. I will advice you to check your inner voice, try to connect with it. That's what will guide you. You won't find guidance on other peoples opinions, they are pointers for you. You have to listen to everything and check what your inner voice says, the one that speaks very low and smoothly, and most of the time, doesn't talk to us with words. You know what I am talking about because I am sure you listen to it. This video can be helpful, I hope it helps.

Been there done that, in your first stages when you begin to accept that we have no free will is common to tend to forgive the one that most of the people see as "the attacker". And we see him like he's not conscious, it wasn't his free will, he didnt choose to do it, etc. I think Sam Harris in his youtube video about Free Will explain it better. It's not about punishing the attacker, but it needs to be separated from society because he's harmful for the society and for himself. But I didn't understand the side of the victim, I thought that the victim in some way was creating the crime subconsciously. I realized it was a weird way to see it, but it was like I didn't understand, now when @charlie2dogs posted the reasons, it make sense to me. It is not bad that we, because we "feel more advanced seekers" (or a little bit more hehehe... ) condemn the act and separate the guy from the rest of the society and instead of punish him, as it is done now it would be good to try to make him see the consequences of his actions. It's about trying to bring more awareness, not about "consoling" the victims or making them feel better because there is a punishment or revenge. I don't know if I am making myself clear.

Sorry, the correct title is "The Answer that Kills Every Question" Here it is.

Emerald, your last video come at a perfect time for me. Thanks!!! I posted a comment in your youtube site also. Pretty cool. Your video together with the one of Teal Swam about how to listen your inner voice are at this moment the one I am watching more over and over hehehe... I also like a lot a Moojis video about "the question that will kill all the questions". Maybe you saw it. I am working on that question with my inner voice and loving my ego, so... everything makes a lot of sense. P.S.: The most helpful part of your video was realizing that I need a strong ego, to be able to face the challenges along the enlightenment path. I was all the time trying to suppress it and it's crazy. It comes back to haunt you.

Will, I asked the same things as you (and I am still asking them, so this is just my point of view at this moment) , I think you know that. :-) Ok, this is my experience. If you let the things go, things will be done the way you really want them to be. But not "you" the identity. You, your real self. We are not in connection with our real self, because of thoughts, experience, environment, influence of others, etc. So, we listen to the internal voice of our self, but we don't pay attention to it. The ego will be always in the way, but don't see it as a bad thing. It is good in fact. Because that's the way that we can discover ourselves, who we really are. We are a much bigger thing that this ego. You said that we are a tiny nothing. That's true if you see it from the ego point of view. You won't see it that way once you are identified with your true self, at least that's what I had for some insights and experiences, very short experiences but very rich. I hope it helps.

Yeah, I think so. I had one experience of no identity once. And it's scary as f***. At that moment was, because of my ignorance and my attachment to my identity. I feel now that I am ready but I am not sure hehehe... Maybe I need someone to push me hahahaha Cheers!

You can do that. I am not enlightened, but I realized that those are fears from the idea of "me" that doesn't want to "die or disappear" so the ego come up with all those fears and questions about being enlightened and I am almost sure they are not at all true. As the old saying goes: Before Enlightenment chop wood carry water, after Enlightenment, chop wood carry water.

On a second thought, just to play with the imagination, I imagine in a enlightened society probably there would be no wars, factories won't contaminate, there would be work because people like to work, people will do the work that is necessary for society to function, there would be no discussions, we could go to the cinema and watch high quality movies not garbage movies, no rapes, no craziness, things will run smoother. We will have politicians who will be interested in the people, or maybe there will be no politicians hehehe... And the list can go on and on... probably we will understand better science and health, etc... -

This is your idea or concept of how enlightenment will be in the future. Don't try to imagine how it will be because that's not possible. The ego keeps asking questions. The being just it is. And it is better not try to know because we are blind with our beliefs, we can't see reality as it is, and we can't not have idea what the next thing is going to be. Lol... One thing I know, it will be worth it. -

I think when you are enlightened you don't ask that question. That's exactly what enlightenment is, knowing there's not a next thing to pursue. -
What are your ideas about how to become enlightened? What do you think about this video?

About the meditation, you didn't do anything wrong. It was really good. You won't notice changes, it's slow. But you will see that your thoughts will not dominate you as easily. If you continue practicing that and being in the "now", that means worrying about what you need to do at the moment without overthinking, you will see improvements. You will experience some liberation from thought. About the therapist and your fear of trying to fill an unfillable void, don't worry. We all are doing that all the time, until we know ourselves better and we know who we are and what we are doing. That's called self-realization or enlightenment. So, let it be. It's fear, just fear. It's nothing real. You experience fear and immediately you begin to think, and overthink. Just feel the fear as if you notice a thought, let it go and continue with whatever you think is Ok for you. That's what I think about it, I hope it helps.

Wordpress is the best option, then if your blog grows you can easily transform it in a full fledged CMS. It's really good for everything, blog, all kind of websites and e-commerce site.

“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But, when I became a man, I put away the things of a child. We see now through a glass in a dark manner; but then face to face. Now I know in part; but then I shall know even as I am known.” ~Corinthians 13- 25 replies
