  1. Truth is boring for the ego... meditate
  2. @Dimi investigate how do you decide to act. Who is the one who decides to take action. Is it first a thought? An emotion? From where do those thoughts/emotions come from? Everything arises in perfect harmony. Like everything else in nature.
  3. Thanks! @Inliytened1 Much appreciated!!!!
  4. I am always doubting about a lot of things... where does doubt appear or arise in your experience? What is doubt? How to eliminate doubt without going toward extremism/ legalism or to a crazy belief? Does it arise from feelings? Or from thought? I can't seem to find out even when I am meditating a lot about it.
  5. Sometimes I don't know what I want... but I want it NOW!!! Lol Thanks Shin!
  6. Thanks Conrad. I appreciate your comments. He is indeed.
  7. Lol... thanks! I will watch that one!
  8. @Natasha I know what I have to do, the only problem is that I am lazy and I want instant enlightenment.
  9. That's part of the problem Lol I am in a map that is a maze. Or maybe the map is the maze and I am in the territory. But I cant see the territory because I am seeing only the map. But how do I see the territory? If the territory can't be objectified?
  10. I think that's the part I am learning now. Probably the most important advice I got about it is to love your ego. It's like integrate it instead of "kill the ego".
  11. hehehe... I know. Alan Watts is really awesome. Thanks @tedens
  12. @Nahm Wow! Thanks a lot Nahm. You explanation is very clear. I am reading the dhammapada to get guidance on right action. I think that's the first step. Right?
  13. Yes, you are right... the mind is not made to understand reality. In fact, is the thing that is avoiding us to see reality the way it is! Sometimes I really tempted to do something with that... an Ayahuasca retreat or something... or maybe licking a toad!!! Lol
  14. Thanks mandy! I appreciate your comment. This is really helpful. Once, long time ago... when I wasn't still aware of duality and meditation, I was meditating with some friends. But, we didn't do it right Lol... We just sit and went inside of our minds, let them imagine whatever it wants, but we were still immersed in thoughts stories and stuff. It wasn't bad, but it was not really meditation, mostly mental masturbation hehehe... Now that you mention the bridge, you made me recall that. In one of those meditations, an image came to my mind where I was on a big canyon and there was a bridge. And the bridge was like the one you mention, it was like really rotten and in bad shape. So I began to walk over this bridge, and I was like doing a big effort on not walking too strongly on it so it wouldn't fall apart. At that moment, I listened to a voice in my head that said "Why are you doing all that effort? It's just a meditation in your mind.... you can fly!" And I did that... and I began to fly over the canyon, and it was really enjoyable. Until I faced a kind of red light, everything went dark and I asked... what happened? And the voice told me "this is something bad that is going to happen to you"... and the truth is that something bad happened to me. It was something bad that it turned good. But what I imagined in that moment when I was a teen happened like 5 years ago to me.... the only part that is not happening is the one where I fly. hehehe... Thanks!!!
  15. I can answer it, no problem... I think I am not getting enlightenment because of that doubt. All my understanding points to the truth, that I don't exists (ego) that everything is one, that I am everything and everything is in me... etc... but for some reason there's still a doubt in the back of my mind or I don't know where, and that's a belief I don't know how to deal with it. At this moment, I am not sure about anything Lol...
  16. God is the reality that you are seeing right now... nothing more and nothing less. The name is not important.
  17. Who knows? Maybe you hit the right button by mistake! Lol... thanks again Preetom
  18. Cool... thanks Aaron, you are absolutely right! I didn't think about that. For some reason I used that reasoning for other stuff but in this case I completely bypassed it. Thanks a lot!
  19. @Devansh Saharan In my case mindful meditation helped me a lot. Leo has a video about it. What you do is you observe everything that arises but you don't try to interpret it. You just say the sense that you use to see that movement around you. For example, if you hear a sound... you just think "hearing" or "listening". So you don't focus on the thinking or on interpretations. This IMO creates an habit in the mind and it is easier for you to let go of thoughts. If while meditation you have a thought about something like "I have something to do" or "this is good or bad"... just say "thinking" without paying attention to the content of the thought. That helped me a lot, but the thought machine will keep running always. You need it. Thought is good for practical things, like everyday tasks, the only problem is not good for understanding reality. Use it with caution. hehehe..
  20. We are always seeing a partial part of the whole. Thanks!
  21. @Truth Addict Thanks for that. It's true what you say about evidence. Direct experience is the way to go.
  22. That's really annoying Lol
  23. Yeah, very true indeed. Do you think there's a difference between what we think and that "stuff" that is running us? I always thought that the stuff that runs us (or me) is created by thought.
  24. Sometimes I feel that there's in fact a lot of evidence to support a new belief or knowledge, but doubt still arises, like trying to erode the new idea. Interesting, thanks Preetom. Believe it or not, what you posted helped me a lot... I needed it.
