  1. This guy has a bunch of great podcasts. I was probably recommended this channel by Leo's blog, but I don't remember.
  2. The past can only be understood. The future is created, not predicted. Will is something that exists in relation to the future. It only exists in the now, never in the past. Once something has happened, it had to have happened that way. This is a paradox but true.
  3. After WW2 Europe was in ruins, and America stood as the only manufacturing powerhouse in the world. Middle-class blue-collar workers could support a family with a single wage. As Europe rebuilt and the rest of the world, like China, industrialized, American manufacturing fell in relative value. America has remained the strongest economy in the world by pivoting to white-collar work. Rural communities that used to thrive off blue-collar work have fallen into despair. "Make America great again" resonates with these rural places because they are right to be nostalgic for when they thrived in the 50ies and 60ies. Leo says poor Americans vote against their own interest because of Spiral Dynamics stage blue. But stage blue is not inherently hyper-neoliberal. This is an American phenomenon of blue and orange being so closely married. There is plenty of stage blue leftism around the world, think communists or union workers. Poor republicans think that the capitalism and social values that seemed to work in the past can work again. But it won't work. Poor republicans need to understand that there is no returning to the 50ies-60ies, but that a new greatness based on investing in people can be created.
  4. @Husseinisdoingfine I watched the video when it came out. I agree with Leo that when people are choosing between candidates of two different colors, people will ~80% vote on SD color. But what is being missed is that before the colors compete against one another, there are party nominations. During those nominations, a candidate with a policy platform that doesn't match the electorate will lose. So the content of the different colors are determined by people's wishes. Stage blue is conservative, but what is being conserved differs a lot between cultures. This is why different stage blue cultures don't get along while different orange and green cultures do. The content of stage blue has the most variety of all stages. It is possible to make a stage blue argument for leftist policies. In a different universe, republicans could be for unions and for investing in the American people. Many stage blue cultures around the world are leftist. The question is, why is the content of the American stage blue so perversely liked with toxic stage Orange? This isn't a universal feature of blue. It's an American phenomenon. Leo's analysis lacks the answer to this question. @SOUL I understand the idea of manufacturing consent. I think American culture is shaped 80% of its history and 20% of brainwashing. Every big movement in American culture has a clear historical cause: American imperialism/interventionism was caused by the success of WW2 interventions. Then the anti-war movement was caused by the Iraq war. Poor people want to make America great again because they used to be part of a middle class that actually was great. Populism is rising because elites are corrupt. and so on and so on
  5. @theleelajoker Kundalini isn't Sexual energy, it's pure energy rising in the spine. It takes on particular energies of the chakras it rises to. In the sacarl chakra it becomes femenine Sexual energy and pleasure but in the naval chakra it becomes masculine power and joy
  6. It's not. It's pure energy and can manifest into masculine and feminine energy.
  7. @Clarence Thanks for everything! ❤️
  8. @Clarence Reading that, I had an affinity. I can generate the feeling you are talking about by having my male body but taking on a female identity and a subtle body. So it's kind of the opposite of the experiment you suggested. This experiment had never occurred to me before because the one you suggested is so logical. It creates a mismatch with my physical body that makes me uncomfortable and makes me want to get breast implants and chop of my dick. So I understand body dysmorphia now. Thank you so much for answering so many of my personal questions. This was very insightful.
  9. I hope this is fictional because it would be so bizarre and funny if this were someone's hobby. I'd personally find this dehumanizing, but I think this wouldn't bother a more secure person.
  10. I've tried this. I'd feel uncomfortable with how other people would see me, but in my fantasies, I wouldn't have a problem with having a female body in private. Maybe I'm wrong, or perhaps I'm a bit more feminine than most guys, so I'd react differently. Do you feel the same way: uncomfortable with how you are perceived but okay with your body in private? There is a gross and a subtle body. The gross body is the one we see and touch. The subtle body is a psychological overlay that is on top of the gross body. It's our feeling of our bodies. It contains energy and emotions. Shadow limbs are when the subtle body has body parts that the gross body doesn't, like how people still feel they have arms after their arms are cut off. We can create the sensation that we move our bodies without actually moving our bodies. Vividly feel yourself curling your fist without actually doing it. Using the subtle body is how astral projection is done. Do you have a tangible understanding of the difference between the gross and subtle body? If so, is your experience of transgenderism a missmatch between your gross and subtle body? Do you have a phantom limb where you feel your dick should be? When I imagine myself having a girl's body, I think I'm changing my subtle body. I can vividly imagine how i'd be like to be fucked while having a vagina and I like that feeling. I don't seem to be able to adequately imagine myself with a female gross body with my male subtle body. Maybe that's the reason why I can't generate the uncomfortable feeling you are talking about.
  11. @Clarence I'm only attracted to women. I'm a switch, so I both like dominating and being dominated. I like being dominated by girls with dicks and strapons in my fantasy. I'm a virgin, so maybe I'm more vanilla irl. I'm only attracted to female bodies, but like both feminine and masculine energy. I think this gives me insight into the nature of femininity and masculinity. Are you attracted to power dynamics? If so, do you have a preference for who is in power? I wish I could be trans for a day so I could understand it.
  12. @Clarence Sexuality is a great window into masculinity and femininity. What are you attracted to? Let's clarify this question. An ideal is an amalgamation of all the greatest feminine or masculine qualities in one person, so it's usually not a particular person. Do you have a conception of a masculine and a feminine person? If so, do you have a conception of degrees of virtue and health for them? If so the highest virtue and health is the ideal. The feminine ideal for me is unconditionally loving in a nurturing way. She seeks to heal through empathy, intimacy and bonding. She has deep feeling-based wisdom. She respects the masculine prescription of logic but doesn't see it as very important for her own purpose. She always keeps telling me not to underestimate love. You'd think I'd have learned that lesson after years of reminders lol. My masculine ideal is primarily a strategist who's main purpose is to make good decisions for the benefit of all being using cutting logic and wisdom. He is unconditionally loving but isn't nurturing, rather, he seeks to help others by empowering them to help themselves. This is done primarily by teaching wisdom. He is a warrior with great precision if he has to be, but when it's not needed, he is joyful and playful.
  13. Thank you so much for sharing that's interesting. I feel like a male because I identify with the masculine while the femenine feels like something external. When I try to connect with the femenine ideal an old wise, loving and nurturing woman comes to me. When I envision the masculine ideal I see the ideal version of myself, not someone else. What do you see when you look for the masculine or femenine ideals?
  14. So fascinating. Can you share some insights into the male and female gender roles, having lived as both? What are pros and cons to how people treated you for both genders?
  15. @Husseinisdoingfine Me hungry. Me eat. The end.
  16. Jordan Peterson Louis CK Luna from Harry Potter Jirou from A Wind Rises Hayao Mizazaki Stirgill Simpson: Elon Musk (I hope he dies) Chuck Rhoads from billions I would put Leo on the list, but he doesn't represent a part of me. Instead, we are so similar that we are like half brothers. @Leo Gura I'm so curious what your list would be.
  17. @Raze You are talking like we are still in the first Trump administration. What I'm talking about are terrifs, threatening annexation of Greenland and mishandling of Ukraine invasion.
  18. MAGA and republicans will lose big in coming elections as long as Trump doesn't manage to steal them. This is a nightmare we need to get through for 4 years and then we will wake up and things will be back to somewhat normal. The USA's interest is maintaining the liberal order and being allies with the EU. Selfishness isn't steering the MAGA ship; stupidity is.
  19. Integral is great at justifying centrism. That's what happens when analysing values and culture takes priority over analysing economics and class dynamics. In America, the economic analysis is that people aren't invested in nearly enough. The class analysis is that super wealthy people control the government and rig everything in their favor.
  20. Good to see The Integral Stage on the blog. I have been a fan for 4 years.
  21. Voting for the highest spiral stage never sat right with me as a Swede looking at Swedish politics. Finnaly I think I've found a better principle. Vote for a the best balanced politician unless it's time for a political revolution. It's time for a Green revolution in America so the principle of voting the highest works in that particular context. In Sweden, we had that political revolution around the sixties to nineties when we became a social democracy, which I support. But now I think the blue/ORANGE/green moderates are better managers of that social democracy than the GREEN left. If it's true that Bernie Sanders is a democratic socialist(Which is way left of social democracy. I know, it's confusing.) as he has said himself, then he would be further to the left than is healthy for America. But if he were president it wouldn't matter because he wouldn't be able to turn America as far as he would if he was a Dictator. Americans don't practically need to think about what is too far left for a long time as that is so far away from the current system. After the Green Revolution has happened in America American leftists will have to face that question and I think the conclusion of wise people will be to seek politicians with balance of all the different stages.
  22. @Davino There are many different ways for a stage to be toxic. Demonizing other stages is one of them. All tier 1 stages have that to some extent but some people are way worse than others. Another toxicity is how all tier 1 stages can be twisted by fear in particular ways. Beige becomes greedy and cowardly, Purple becomes hostile to outgroup, Red gets antisocial, blue becomes hateful of deviants etc.. All Tier 1 stages are driven by fear to some extent but some people more than others.
  23. @Davino Santagamana's books and Tara Springett's, and some random YouTube videos. Tara's techniques are great but she uses the inferior Buddhist chakra system. Also wheels of life on the chakras. It has some mistakes but it's decent but doesn't have any good techniques. There aren't any great resources on the chakras that I'm aware of unfortunately. I've relied on personal observations mostly.
  24. @Davino From my somewhat extensive experience, the heart with its air element, lightness and spaciousness is the only chakra that is uplifting. The root and earth star chakra are the only grounding ones. All soul star chakra meditations I've found have descending energy.
