  1. After watching Leo's video, I'm very curious to know who that guy in the desert is. Leo please let us know lol. Also want to know what his method is called.. Or what does he classify himself as.
  2. @Toby you made a very good point. Actually I want all such behaviors to be labeled toxic. Toxic means unhealthy. It's only when categorize it as unhealthy, can a man consciously seek to get out of it and not remain in it forever. Like I would consider the doormat as toxic too. Often I have seen that such "doormat" encourages and sustains toxic behaviors in a woman. Omg like how rarely is this even talked about you know.
  3. This is a very good video for this topic.
  4. @Toby certain behaviors are toxic.. Because when males follow these behaviors it takes them into wrong ways in life, they begin to cultivate toxic views on women or can never have a balanced relationship with any woman because they themselves suffer a bias. In turn they cause other men to follow the same path.. Associating toxic and masculine does not mean that all of masculinity is toxic.. It only means that certain groups of men or certain behaviors are toxic because when followed these behaviors disrupt gender relations or cause gender imbalance or hurt the other gender.. In the process they also end up hurting their own gender as well
  5. @Toby this is not about culture. It's about a pattern of behaviors in specific gender. Just like there are patterns of behaviors in certain women that can comprise as toxic feminine behavior, there are behaviors that are exhibited in men which are toxic masculine. As you can see in the thread some men want to know about healthy masculinity. So differentiating between toxic masculinity and healthy masculinity is a good start.
  6. Toxic masculinity does exist. And it is not an invention. The purpose is also not to shame men unless you take it that way. Toxic masculinity does not mean all men, it means a specific behavior which is toxic to both males and females. It serves an infinitely great purpose. By knowing what behavior comprises it, a young man on the path of cultivating masculinity will not go the wrong way and follow toxic examples of males and masculinity but he will focus more on healthy masculinity and develop that. Most men are very confused on this and they never discuss it because it's rarely ever brought up. Toxic femininity also exists. But the thread is about toxic masculinity and examples where we can have a discussion about toxic masculinity behavior. This is also beneficial for women because they sometimes have the wrong idea of what a healthy masculine should be. Please don't derail the thread. You can see Leo's explanation above. That's a good example.
  7. @Roy that's a very good point. Toxic masculinity doesn't approve or respect the vulnerable side in men. True.
  8. Can you please tell me where Leo talks about such an experience. I mean which video or blog title. Thanks

  13. I'm very feminine. And sometimes I feel like this is a drawback for me. It limits me. I can't grow the masculine in me. It's very difficult. I remember emerald telling me that I needed to become a little more masculine. The thing is that being or trying to be masculine makes me instantly uncomfortable. It's not my comfort zone. I usually feel comfortable in girly girly things. Maybe it's time for me to grow some masculine in me. I feel like there should be some sort of a masculine character that I can derive some inspiration from to compensate for the lack of masculinity in me. That masculine inspiration will probably balance me out. I will need to search for such inspiration.

  17. @Opo lol.. Every country has to be Blue at its base.. For example every pizza has a base lot matter what flavor. You can only upgrade the blue and integrate orange and green and yellow into it but you can't remove the blue. So blue is inherent or implicit when a country is green or orange. Which means when a country is orange, it already has blue, but if it's blue, then it does not mean it can have orange, it can be plain rigid blue and not much else, like a pizza without any crust/topping just the base..
  18. America is Green and Orange, my favorite.

Of course it can become conscious. But that's upto a person But imagine being called "handsome" by a blind girl. There can never be a greater confidence boost for a man than that.
