  1. @DocWatts @Blackhawk You really have to think like that especially after watching these videos If someone shouts victory 20 times a minute then you really need to send them to the nut house.
  2. Capitalism is only good when it's driven by a social incentive.
  3. @The Don I remember living in the US and looking for a place to live in Washington. At that time, the rent for a very basic apartment for 1 person was $1000 in the inner city. I found it extremely expensive. If you are on a low paid job, you hardly save anything at all let alone save enough to pay rent. Even software engineers who are highly skilled find it difficult to rent homes in inner city areas. It's a different thing if you are living outside town. For a single mother doing 1 job, it's incredibly difficult to rent a proper home, pay electric bill, pay groceries and general expenses within her very limited income . In such conditions if your car breaks down its very difficult to get it repaired or buying another car. Without a car it's difficult to commute to your job. Sorry but you're painting a very rosy picture of the United States The reality is that people in the United States have to do multiple jobs if they have families to pull through and manage expenses. The only way is probably getting some additional support from government like subsidized low income housing, however this is mostly available to minorities. If you are poor then your kids go to public school which are very bad in the US. The private schools are for the rich. If you are poor you have to buy food from Walmart which is usually bad and organic food is much expensive and lot of people can't afford that food. The lady that you call fat is probably fat because she can't afford to eat good food. The food for the poor people on the United States is usually chemical laden, cheap and GMO based that causes people to get very fat.
  4. @The Don poverty is a huge problem in the United States and has nothing to do with mental illness but more to do with the minimum wage which is just not enough. People have to do multiple jobs if they are low tier workers. That's the actual reality of US. Your friends are probably on the better side of the streets.
  5. Maybe try not. It's a materialistic world. Deal with it in a materialistic way. If you showed unconditional love in this world, maybe you might get ignored and exploited and worse get treated like a doormat. The only people who you can show unconditional love to are pets. Unconditional love often doesn't get the treatment it deserves in real life.
  6. @abrakamowse I know exactly what it is It's a slide meant for Donald Trump for a smooth sliding out of the white house. Since he can't be dragged as he weighs too much, they kept a metal slab hidden in the desert for him. They will need that slab for sliding him out on January 20. Don't worry it will be put to good use. When he first saw the slide it was too small so he ordered "Make that slab great again"... So they made it much bigger. When they will finally put him on the slab, he will shout "make that slab go away."
  7. Really? You have no clue. Sorry. America has had a huge problem with the Federal Minimum wage since decades now, the only lucky people were the boomers. Before you make such sanguine statements about the US Federal minimum, please watch this video without crying a tear.
  8. @The Don how do you know that people in the United States are paid enough when you don't even live in the US?
  9. It looks nice. Maybe someone deposited it there 100 years ago. It's kinda useless since nothing is written on it. This clearly means it's no ancient artifact or anything historical. Someone's idea of creating surprises
  10. @IAmReallyImportant hmm. If I were you I probably wouldn't trust her. I've been to psychics before but none of them ever said anything remotely like this. That's what fishy. Psychics don't create such elaborate stories involving aliens. Good psychics are direct in their delivery about the past present and future and it is usually reasonable and realistic enough and tangible. Your psychic seems to be creating her own fantasies.thats a spot on lie.
  11. Hmm. That's a pretty common thing. Early in the morning someone texted me and I told them that I had to go. Sometimes I don't even say and simply leave the conversation. By expecting too much you could be doing more harm than good by simply thinking that they don't care about you. Maybe they do care but forget to reply in the middle of running errands. Personally if someone got angry at me because I didn't reply and if I was busy and if they knew I was busy then I would probably stop talking to them altogether because I ain't got time to be available to someone 24/7. Sorry but there is a thing called life that must be lived. I guess one must be a bit practical in terms of expectations and learn to give others some leeway. They have problems too, shit to deal with and things to put in order. Be patient and calm. Don't break their boundaries and don't expect unrealistic things. It's obviously a recipe for disappointment. Remember that nobody will be at your beck and call 24/7..not being harsh, just explaining how it works in reality. Sometimes people (close friends) might be pissed off if you told them that you're upset over such trivial stuff. Take care and learn to accept friends.
  12. @IAmReallyImportant I found the alien sex part very unrealistic.
  13. @Eren Eeager you're doing really good imo
  14. @Thewritersunion it didn't make sense.
  15. I'm sorry I only do it on family members.
  16. @Cosmin_Visan I agree with you. The thing with spirituality is that you will Need to discover your own insights on your path because it's unique to you. I've tried digging the most profound posts but I hate to tell you that they are 1 in 300 threads in this section. Much of what goes on usually flies over my head because it's like people talking in circles which is super easy by the way. I don't pay much attention to it. I try to have my own insights in my meditation sessions. I don't think that this is a right or wrong place. Only that the quality has kinda degraded a bit because many people left or were plucked. So yea I guess the peaceful conscious ones just practice, haha, don't consider me conscious either because I got a lot of unconsciousness in me as well, just that I too want to focus more on practice than just theorizing. Good luck mate.
  17. You got me wrong. I dismissed not the psychic but her prediction. I myself do tarot card reading. (but not professionally). My journal is always full of Stage Purple spirituality as well as Green Spirituality. Some psychics are really good and I can easily tell. What put me off was the elaborate nature of the alien experience. Psychics usually provide bits and pieces.
  18. @CultivateLove that's the events that happen in the course of love. But love in its experiential form isn't hurtful. For example if your mom is giving you affection right now and loving you, it's not hurtful. If you're loving a pet right now it's not hurtful. The process of love is not hurtful And if your mom said something that is hurtful then it's the words and her actions that are hurtful. But the love that she has for you is not hurtful. Similarly if someone dies, the death or loss is hurtful. Love is eternal and love is pure bliss. Whatever happens, the lover has no control over it. But in their intent to love you, it's pure love in the moment.
  19. One thing that I learned is that there is always a silver lining to everything in life when you are moving forward and sometimes we miss this lining.
  20. That made a lot of sense. Thanks for your post. Really helps.
  21. @CultivateLove I always remember when someone told me that if someone loved you truly they can't hurt you.
  22. I don't believe her. Hard to believe.
