This is crazy. Poor guys. All of this needless suffering only because some people can't contain their sense of entitlement.

I think it's a double edged sword. There are pros and cons. The pros being that such censoring shields people from getting radicalized and controlled or manipulated to be recruited into right wing groups which can easily lead to formation of nazi parties,the kind that existed during the time of Hitler and this can easily give way to the possibility of someone like Hitler coming to power again. The cons being the cancel culture that goes overboard in its punitive action and causes needless suffering to an individual or group who might valid concerns about their issues or the state of society. This kind of behavior only accelerates further when the right wing uses extremist approaches and encourages violence. It's a vicious cycle for which the right is very much responsible. Had the right been peaceful and reasonable in their approach, there would be no reason to justify Banning or censoring anyone. See how it works. Like a cycle.

But there is a huge difference between the evidence for something that occurred in the 1920s versus something that is happening now. It's much easier to manipulate history that belonged to the time when picture or video technology and internet didn't exist. I believe with time it's going to be much harder to manipulate facts and events

I don't believe this. I think the opposite will happen. If the government begins to control big tech companies, there will be massive lag in getting anything done because of lobbying and since the government is being controlled by right wing (depending on the party of the president elected or the senate) it will buckle under the pressure and give in to the demands of the president. I think the president has a significant power in the government.

You create a huge army of people who are very aware and wise and not mentally ill. Such a big army spreading throughout social media that no MAGA lot of trolls can do anything with their stupid conspiracy theories. In the end, truth always wins. These days I'm reading about how Holocaust didn't exist or never happened by these conspiracy theorists and they try their best to explain it away but there is video and picture evidence. The future generations won't be able to create conspiracy theories because the internet doesn't die out. So there will always be video evidence unless the media gets hijacked and silenced and all evidence destroyed or buried.
