@Consept your definition of real love is based in scarcity and you try to mask it as accordance. My idea of real love is based in abundance. Acceptance of ugly is being complacent and not abundant. A beautiful relationship has it's own meaning and criteria. It is people who constantly vouch for acceptance of the ugly that need to start accepting the fact that they can't and don't Create Space for the beautiful.

my exact point. I have relationships in my family that have lasted more than 40 years. People believe in their own illusions and call reality Disney when it doesn't fit them..

You can call it Disney if you wish to. I just call it denial of aspects of reality that you haven't seen or experienced. Just because it's not possible for you doesn't mean it's not possible for others. There's a lot of positivity out there that doesn't categorize as Disney. Just Because you experience reality a particular way doesn't mean everyone has to experience it the same way. Learn to assimilate everyone's experiences rather than generalizing your own experience as universal. (And let's not forget there a ton of red pillers in this section that skew people's minds)

And what you're saying is bullshit. Because it comes from a place of ego gratification. You don't love or like someone because they fulfill a list of criteria (it's not menu selection), you love someone for who they are. If you can't do that, it means you only love yourself. You haven't grasped what loving someone means because you haven't experienced it. You live in denial of true understanding and Love to justify your worldview. By your logic the whole world would have been divorced. Lots of wonderful people who can truly love each other. So what if you can't do it. Don't negate them..

What you're describing is not true Love but Lust. Lust always ends in disappointment. True Love is long lasting. And lovers never lose interest. No fantasy.just truth. You never had emotions to begin with. They were false emotions. Like a false alarm. True emotions are very strong and don't disappear simply due to time or circumstances.

This discussion is so uncomfortable.

So you want to be compassionate to people but at the same time you don't want to be fucked over by them. Like if your friend told you that they are in a bad place in life and you're ready to let them live in your house and the next thing you know that in your absence they completely trash your house or or lose important stuff and you're left wondering how much you can put up with and why should you ? I mean compassion is one thing and I always feel very good to help people, it's a nice thing to do. But often I'm left exasperated when the personal cost of helping someone runs high. I feel like I did a mistake. But I couldn't have known beforehand if a person was going to take advantage of me. It's like I really appreciate helping someone when they need me but not wanting to lose something of myself at the same time. I don't know how to maneuver around this in such a way where I know I'm helping the right person. I know I'm not getting fucked over But I usually learn only when the damage is done.
