@Gnosis I know some women can have good intentions with their corrections. But the problem is that it doesn't sit quite well with men. This was said in context of low self esteem issues. When you suffer from low confidence issues, it is best to be surrounded by people who accept you for your flaws and don't judge or correct you. I hope that explains it

@remember that's only possible if the law allows that. The Indian law does not allow carrying guns or weapons And I can't use physical force because I am physically weak. Not all women are physically tough. You don't have that many assaults in your country so you don't have to worry too much about defending yourself everyday. I don't see a lot of western women doing karate on the streets. No they call 911. Please do not compare your situation to what happens in India. Here it's brutal. You're not going to defend yourself 24/7 every day of the week against a new attacker or assaulter each time. Like I said before it's not viable. The woman will land up in the hospital fighting every day and lose her life. -

@remember I'm not ridiculing it. I'm saying it's not viable for a lot of women. I thought you were a guy, sorry about that. I am not at all playing into a victim perpetrator mentality. Its a severe problem with huge suffering and consequences for the women. There is no victim playing here. These are real victims who suffer life long injuries. The matter is not limited to groping on the street. The victim that made headlines in India in 2012 died a week after the rape. Even the doctors couldn't save her. And do you think that I won't suffer consequences for defending myself. The last time I heard the rapist said that if a woman defended herself she will be murdered. This problem is much more complex than victim perpetrator, joining karate or using electro shockers. I haven't used my pepper spray in my bag for years now. You may ask why? I'll tell you why. Because if I use it, the next day the guy will track me down and murder me. So be careful about your simplistic suggestions. -

Corruption needs to be weeded out. The solution is not to simply let the government and law enforcement sit on their ass. They have a duty for a reason. Protecting a citizen, man woman or child is their duty. How did we reduce dowry? How did we reduce female infanticide? By enforcing law..... -

@remember I think they can use physical force. Isn't that what the police is trained for? Sorry I can't use physical force or join military or karate to fight off an attacker. It's not in my nature. I know a lot of women. That's why we need law enforcement. We need armies. We need a jail cell with a lock and key. What you're trying to imply is good for cavemen times when people used sheer force to defend themselves. But we live in civil societies with law and order. A guy earlier in the thread told me that I should Empower myself There is this theory circulating in India especially by actors like Akshay Kumar that women should take up defence classes, learn karate and stuff to defend themselves and fight off a rapist!! Isn't it easy to just put all the responsibilities on the woman's shoulder to defend herself. And what are men gonna do, sit and watch, while a woman fights for her life? I'm not in favor of such a system where a woman is left to defend herself Can you use the same logic for a 10 year old girl. Can she become Hulk Hogan and fight against a strong muscular 35 year old man? It's absolutely ridiculous to even suggest such a thing. You should understand that a lot of the rapes that happen are gangrapes where there are usually a bunch of 5 men assaulting a woman. It's impossible for her to defend herself. You guys undermine the power of a strong government and a strong law enforcement. In a highly evolved society, people are disciplined, well mannered, graceful and they cannot be expected to aggressively defend themselves with physical violence or force. They should not have to do it. This is not a jungle where you are to live on your own. It's called society for a reason. Sucks when people suggest that women should go around fighting every attacker and spend her every day fighting. What a load of crap -

@remember omg no... I will never do that to anyone That's why law enforcement should exist. Nobody should have to defend themselves with such violent means. Even if someone threatened my life, I wouldn't use any thing on them. I care about human life. I have never been violent in my life. I just can't do that Not trying to moralize here. But I don't believe in any kind of violence. People should be penalized or jailed for misdemeanor. The same thing can be dealt with without violence. Peace ✌️ -

The nerves in my hands have been causing some pain since morning. These are particularly bad days when nothing seems good. Everything gloomy. And today is the worst. Feeling depressed for a while. I wish things weren't this way.
-
Hopefully today everything gets sorted out somehow. Today is the action day. I need to take things slow now. I am trying to fix my leg with warm compress. It hurts like hell. I have got so much work to get done. Going anywhere is not without risk. I see everyone wearing a mask. Feels like we are living in alien space.

I'm looking forward to bigger changes in the coming few months. Starting today I just pray and pray that the next few days be good. I have been going through a difficult time this last few months and this month is nothing new.. Today is the height of my frustration. Plus my noisy neighbors are extremely irritating. It's been loud noise since last night. I really need to get going. The coronavirus scare has screwed me up so bad, I don't wish to go anywhere. I even canceled my event last week. I am scared to even go to the hospital but I have had a leg injury since the last week and I really wanted to visit a doctor this week. My family that stays in the US just called me and told me to not go anywhere at this time. Not even the hospital. That makes sense because it's the hospitals that have the greatest risks with patients coming in for screening. So sad. I feel so anxious over this coronavirus thing.

@Harikrishnan yea it's cool. I thought the guys here would really downarrow me. Apart from a few disparaging comments {hinting that I could be a slut to deserve the harassment} everything went pretty fine. But then again this is online. Offline situations are always much worse. Also this is a spirituality website so many the good Indian guys hang out here hahaha. But in reality in India, only a handful of Indian men have respectful attitude towards women. Most everyday men are very perverted and disrespectful to the extreme. You would need to be a woman to experience that. -

@Arcangelo hehehe if I used a gun, I'd be in jail. India is not that simple. I know what you're saying about Christianity and the Bible. But this is also true that compared to Hindu culture the Christian culture treats women better. I have no idea how Hindu culture evolved to treat women badly but ancient Hinduism was about protecting women. Probably misogynistic men changed the scripture and the culture to suit their needs. -

You know when Indian men will wake up? I'll tell you. When the international media will point fingers to the Indian man and ask "what are you doing exactly to protect the women of your country?" In that moment the Indian man will feel pressured to wake up and change his mentality towards women. -

@Parththakkar12 sorry for breaking your bubble but women are not responsible for creating this. They don't want this. That's why they are fighting against it. Now with more awareness and western interference it is possible for women of India to fight. Also there is support from Indian government and international organizations and it is really helping Indian women. Plus there is a good antidote to Indian men.... It's called social media. Now the whole world can see what's happening in India. Indian men can no longer hide their women hating culture. The cat is out of the bag. This wouldn't have been possible 50 years ago with no internet and no social media. Back then it was very easy for an Indian man to rape or burn a woman or stone her and get away with it. Because who is there to see? Now technology is making it possible for the cultures to get exposed the world over. Now India must have answers to the world if something bad happens to women in India. So the government is going to scramble to save face and do something strong to protect women in the future. This situation will not last forever thanks to international media, social media, internet, journalism, feminism, and most importantly technology and globalization. The sins of a culture will not remain hidden for too long. Also praises to all Indian women for fighting so hard and pushing against the evil patriarchy for paving the way to freedom for women. We have come very far in terms of education and employment. It's the Indian woman's forever struggle to fight the stupid system created by Indian men to oppress them. But karma has its way to work. Feminism will grow in India. I hope it grows bigger and stronger to fight evil oppressive regimes created by men. And in a country like India, Feminism is very much needed. It's a boon. A blessing. Eventually Indian women will get freedom and liberation from the terror of the patriarchy. It will happen. So don't worry. Indian women deserve all the freedom and opportunity and love and justice like all women around the world. Have a nice day. -
This one is good for sterium
-
I will use the word sterium to describe aesthetics and artistry and imagination, creativity and appeal. That's a good word. So basically sterium consists of Erysterium Iggleshius Fleridysus

It's not that easy. Society is not created only by women but also by men. Just because I get empowered doesn't mean anything. What about women who can't be empowered. This is a fallacy. This is like saying that the destiny of a woman in her own hands, a covert way of placing blame on her. So if she is not able to get justice, will you say that she is unempowered? This is a social issue that needs participation of both women and men. A woman cannot fight 100 men trying to gangrape her. If the justice system is against her, she cannot do much. Men also have to fight for women and that's called showing respect to women, not just sitting and watching passively women fighting for themselves. In what kind of society, men just stay silent and don't bother to protect a woman. Is that a good society? A society needs both men and women and both have a role to play. So safety of women is not just a woman's concern. Only a selfish person will imply that. An empathetic man will want justice for women and he will actively participate in that. There are many women who can't get Empowered, example mentally disabled women. Girls who are only 5 years old. You can't expect a 5 year old to be empowered. This is not about woman's empowerment. This is men taking action to save their society and taking action against sociopathic men and helping women to get justice and cooperating them to create a healthy society.
