@mandyjw I AM SO PROUD OF HER RIGHT NOW. SHE'S ALL RESPONSIBLE AND CARES ABOUT FINANCES AND CALORIE INTAKE. SHE'S EVEN MADE STEPS IN CREATING HER OWN BUSINESS. SHE WAS DREAMING OF IT FOR YEARS. YOU CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE HOW MUCH IT WORK TOOK TO GET HER TO THIS POINT. THE MOST DIFFICULT THING IN THE WORLD IS TO PUSH YOUR LOVED ONE TO PURSUE HER DREAMS DESPITE HER PROTESTS.

Yes, that is correct. To love, it does matter whether you follow it, or not. The thing that cares is Ego, the individual, separated human soul. The ego can decide (WILLINGLY) to become wise. To follow the truth. That starts the path of removing delusions and expands the ego (makes it more inclusive). Ultimately, that leads to non-dual realization, a.k.a. enlightenment, where ego becomes so expansive that 'I' makes no sense. That does not imply passivity. The ego cares and it acts, but it acts out of place of purity and genuine concern. There is no selfishness, there is only lack of skill in self-mastery a.k.a. delusion. Retaliation and violence are reactions to self-created emotions and resonances of suffering. Love cannot be manipulated, it is how the world truly is underneath all delusions. An ego that runs off with self-constructed ideology that exploits others does so to its own demise. Love cannot be taught, it is self-evident when obstacles are removed. -
THAT SURE BRINGS BACK SOME MEMORIES... OF MY WIFE BEING PISSED. I DO READ THIS JOURNAL EVEN IF I DON'T POST.

Of course you did experience the brain. The first person experience of your brain is called mind. The brain is how the mind looks like. -

You are bound by the body and constrained to what it can do, it's biology. That is, as long as it lives. After that, infinite intelligence. Total nirvana. -

You are describing the experience of gradual dissolution of the ego, the separate self, the doer. As you are more aligned with the truth, less deluded, the ego becomes more and more expansive and 'transparent'. Everywhere you look - it's YOU to the point where 'I' makes no sense. It is just yin and yang playing in resonance. Love is how things REALLY are. By becoming more and more wise, by aligning yourself with Tao, you flow. That is Nirvana, the end of suffering, resistance. This is illumination and death. -

@Jack River once the personhood is seen through, 'perception' is thrown out of the window. What is, is. There is no perceiver and perceived. -

I wholeheartedly disagree. This comes back to our conversation about freedom vs power. One does not follow love out of necessity. You are free to be disconnected, ignorant and miserable. Following love is to follow Logos. It is the path of alignment that leads to enlightenment. You do that because you recognize its healing and developing potential. You do that to flourish. That is not a limitation. It is expansion, freedom. You follow love because you love to. -

@Jack River I am saying that things that are not perceived by your localized awareness exist. The moon exists even if you are not perceiving it. -

I hope that we're clear that gravity exists. I'm not denying this. Thank you for the clarifications. I am trying to have a sincere conversation and I'm guided by observing my own resistance. Yes, you did not say that gravity is nonsense and neither did I. I was just agreeing with you. YES! -

BEEP BEEP BEEP DETERMINISM ALERT! The further away from the Source a being is, the less it is bound by Love. Humans have free will despite having biological predispositions. In fact, your disconnection from love is your free will. The more hesitant, doubtful, disintegrated you are, the further away you are from the truth. That is Ego. You have a choice to align yourself with Love/Tao/Logos and that path leads to enlightenment, but you are totally free to be a devil. God does not rule with power, it rules with freedom. You can choose to follow it out of your desire to be happy. Things exist even if they are not present in "your" awareness. -

No, paradigms happen within being. It is a way of talking about it. The present moment is fundamentally an irreducible mystery. Mystery. MYSTERY. Completely ineffable. It is IMPOSSIBLE to understand it through the finite mind, and the infinite mind expresses itself as being/present moment. The mistake that is made by many non-dualists is that they completely discard the possibility that this mystery is coherent. The most fundamental rule describes the coherence of the present moment as-is, is love. That love, is what the infinite mind expresses. There are many other rules that describe it, and some of them are described by science. Some of those rules can be leveraged to predict the unfolding of reality with a certain bound on accuracy. They are like a local, linear approximation of a multidimensional manifold. The problem is that people get this ass-backwards and think that science is the TRUTH, just like they think that what personal mind is saying is the TRUTH. It's NOT! The present moment IS THE MYSTERY PEOPLE! IT IS A MIRACLE! A MIRACLE THAT CAN BE TALKED ABOUT SENSIBLY! -

God imagines gravity that attracts, ego makes distinction named 'gravity'. There is no duality between thought-substance and matter-substance. There is only one substance - consciousness. -

@Truth Addict Spiritual bypassing. YOU ARE A HUMAN BEING! YOU CARE! THAT IS NOT A FAULT! -

That is true, but that does not take away from the experience! It is not true that everything you say about it is a lie! You simply fall short despite trying your best, so it is the infinite source of creation in the name of divinity! -

TELL ME, ILLUMINATIES, WHAT ABOUT SCIENCE?????? DOES NON-DUALITY INVALIDATE IT????? DOES NON-DUALITY PREVENT YOU FROM READING BOOKS????? IS AN ENRAGED AXEMAN REAL, OR IS IT JUST A THOUGHT????? -

lol pre-post fallacy. collapsing distinctions does not imply discarding distinctions. -
tsuki replied to John Iverson's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I know this feeling and I did this for a very long time until I understood that it's a form of fear. It was fear of: others invalidating my experience and seeing that I've been tricking myself losing something that is most special about me having the ego take over and ruin things in case it actually helps people. The 'punch' is not for you. It is for the benefit of everybody. Trust yourself. -

How does 'reality of no levels' reconcile with 'living from the deeper perspective'? If there are truly no levels, then 'no levels' is no worse or better than 'levels'. That can only be seen if one has discarded the genuine accomplishment of non-dual realization. Yes, it is an accomplishment and is a subtle ground for attachment. Attachment to genuine humility. I think that I'm being suspected of speaking of things I know nothing of, only because I am speaking. -

Are you aware of what a symbol is? Symbol is something it is not. Gravity is a symbol. It is used to evoke a distinction and this distinction is invented. What is, is. It is, without us humans being aware of it. Babies know nothing about gravity, they have no symbol that corresponds to this distinction. That does not make them float away, and yet - symbol 'gravity' is imaginary. There is no person once awareness becomes aware of itself. The person is a delusion, but this delusion is as real as it gets when the person is still there. Even if isness is more fundamental (basic) than personhood - it is not 'more true' by any measure. Hahaha. I know that the idea of hierarchy triggers you. Self discovery cannot be misguided because it ends in directionless present moment. Why is the moon made of cheese rather than carrots? Self-discovery here is the realization that my question is based on misguided assumptions. Nothing is ever realized by making-real of something that is not here. Realization can only occur by seeing past delusions that cover something that already is. 'One' could not see past what-is. It is not attributable to anybody. It happens through grace. Removal of any delusion is not attributable to anybody because the person is a delusion. And again, denial of hierarchy. Hierarchies do not imply intrinsic moral value, but contraction, boundedness. Thoughts convey meaning that is non-verbal. They point towards something inexpressable through language. Something more basic. Look at your hand. 'Look at your hand' is a thought, but you actually looking at your hand is the meaning. I'm having trouble understanding your term 'write-off'. Do you mean this as something that hides complexity, or what? Gravity is not nonsense. I suspect that the word 'imaginary' is emotionally loaded for you, you perceive it as something dismissive. I do not mean it that way. -
Switch to do-nothing meditation and do that during your workday. Observe what your mind is doing during everyday situations. The point of meditation is not to sit on a pillow. It is to realize that your life is an act of meditation! Apply psychology during your workday. Observe your coworkers and create models. See their blind spots and help them work these through. This one fits into the first paragraph. See how your insights about reality allow you to think about everyday matters more clearly. The above-mentioned list of improvements should give you a steady stream of insights to write down after you're done with your work.
