Saumaya replied to Grant NZ's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Grant NZ There is no guarantee that these other people exist. You are not the body so whatever body feels is not you either. When someone says that you and the other person are the same, it just means that you are part of the same whole not that parts are different. You still think consciousness is a distinct function of the brain and other people also have consciousness. It is more like your brain is an antenna for the right kind of frequency of consciousness to come in. Other people are conscious or not or they exist even is no guarantee. Even if an identical ego came like you, you are consciousness so you are the real one. -

There was a party held for all the enlightened people, apparently nobody came. -
yes

@sgn I would recommend skimming most self help books
-
@John Iverson Never liked his work, its only bs to motivate people and have greater and grander self. It may give you some clarity but only as a starting point.

@Ryan_047 It is useless sorry...You have to understand that either everything is valueless or everything has equal value. If your not understanding this then you're deluding yourself. Again sorry but it is how it is. Don't waste your time trying to increase a non existent self's non existent worth. Rather appreciate the beauty of existence. Also realise whatever judgements people make about you are projections of themselves. Your question just assumes you have low self worth.

@alyra 1) All fear is illusory. Whoever says you need to fear death is neurotic. The point is not to fear death but be conscious of your death. 2)Being conscious of your death/mortality will make you appreciate life more, plus you will not live a life of quiet desperation 3)As far as drive is concerned you will do what is necessary or go after something that you genuinely want. You will not chase after meaningless things

Saumaya replied to Achilles's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Achilles 1)You don't know whether the tiger has conscious in it or not...it is unkowable 2)Remember, a object can only exist when there is a distinction between self and other. That means all things are One i.e Absolute Infinity -
@Thanatos13 Who is bothering?...Also You can still grow as a human after enlightenment. Life has no meaning, even when you're not enlightened.

Hmm...I agree to a certain degree. Schools should become lenient on its rules and regulations. My school was extremely bureaucratic and the principle was from a military family so valued discipline way tooo much. Similar video(2nd one)

Stay focused and everything will be alright

Good Riddance indeed -
@Xin Im 18 and I started when I was in 9th grade. Believe me, you've got much better resources and roadmap nowdays. Just apply yourself ruthlessly and think for yourself. I would recommend you start eating healthy and start pursuing enlightenment as early as possible. You're young so your less full of shit now, enlightenment will take a lot less time if you start now. Remember, age is just a number, don't go easy on yourself just because you're young.

@MisterMan You dont know anything, thats the point. These things are unknowable.

@Max_V I think you should play with the ideas of wrongness and rightness. The answer is that right and wrong are relative and do not exist. Whenever you start feeling that hate, just know that there is nothing right or wrong about this action I'm hating. Contemplate why you are feeling that hate and SEE that its just an illusion.
-
@Living God When will you leave?

Saumaya replied to Max_V's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Max_V Writing is definitely good and more effective than meditating and doing it digitally when comes to self inquiry. You can also use thinking as a weapon, its like bacterial diarrhoea being injected out. Hope this helps -
@Max_V Its very simple, you want certain results, so you're doing certain things. Other people unconsciously or consciously want other kinds of result, and they're doing certain other things. Your just happens to be eating healthy, meditating etc. Its all the same, there no purpose to life so you create your own purpose or results that you want. There is nothing special about anything for anyone whatsoever(not just you). I think this should help
-
Saumaya replied to Patang's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
^ Also pursuing enlightenment doesnt make you special in anyway, just more ordinary -
@Ryan_047 You cant have low or high self esteem because self has no value inherently , only perceived value. Saying "I don't really like myself" means nothing, its just a thought...who is not liking who?. If you think that you're somehow worthless, thats also false because value doesn't exist no matter what you say. Also having a terrible past or mistakes you have done in the past means nothing. It was always now and will always stay now and you can always gradually change now. It doesn't matter what anybody says, you're here means you're a sensible human being

You make it sound like your doing "special things" that separates you from other people. Do meditation if you want, eating healthy should be very natural and authenticity is a by product of being honest with yourself which should also be very natural. Being a "better self" is great but a tougher challenge is to mesh with people and talk to anyone whoever they are and wherever they are coming from and not making any judgements. Also if people cant be open to this "Better self" then its better to cut them off( This very rarely happens). Weirdness is a numbers game anyway, people live in a socially accepted levels of madness. Don't be afraid to be weird.
