Yes all the time. It’s very difficult. Like if I know someone and I know their tendencies I know what certain things mean more easily. But the energy flows the same with someone I know vs. strangers. Haha I always joke to myself that I wish I could wear earplugs to drown out the sounds! No it’s all internal. But I do sometimes wear earplugs in crowded areas and that can help calm my nervous system as a whole and make me less bothered by it. So yes in a way this is what’s happening. But it’s kinda nuanced and hard to understand mind you this only started happening to me two years ago so I’m still new to it all. Thoughts are energy and we are all literally one. I mean we all do this in one way or another. We can all sense someone’s energy in some way. My ability to do so just manifests in this way. I know it’s new agey to say thoughts are vibrations, but that’s literally what’s happening and why we can get “intuitions” about people.

Happy sounds different from sad sounds different from angry. So I’m picking up the vibration of an internal state at a particular moment. It’s just “vibes” like how you can get a sense about someone but this is very acute. There is no color and it happens very quickly. From a distance yes, but not as well, and I don’t know your best friend and there has to be a connection made in order for me to tune in. Yeah that’s me. It’s very challenging to be so sensitive especially in a busy city like I am. So I protect myself by keeping my vibe as high as possible. Taking care of and loving myself so I’m a match for more positive energies and less negative ones. There’s a whole bunch of different things I’ve done like: grounding, praying a protection around me, envisioning a white light, and then love is honestly the biggest one right now. When I’m in a state of love and positivity negativity literally bounces off.

Like how do I know it’s real and I’m not crazy? Same way you know what body language means. Or your intuition. You’re not right all the time but you can adjust as needed and things do “make sense”

It’s a heightened sense of awareness and I “hear” it in my “mind’s ear” so to speak I don’t know why it happened but ayahuasca is known to awaken sensitivities in people. Emotions are energy but energy is not just how something makes you feel. So sometimes I do hear full sentences like I’m reading minds but mostly it’s tones or words of surprise or disgust for example. And yeah it’s been really eye opening and life changing to see the collective pain body in a new way. I’ve had to be honest with myself about all of the negativity I hold (and there’s still so much!) because this has all made me see the ways that my outer world is a reflection of my inner. It’s made me a more understanding person and I see how we are allll going through the same stuff in one way or another. We’re all very connected.

So for example: people often scratch their head when they’re looking for something or they’re confused about something. Maybe you’ve noticed that right? Like “hmm” *head scratch*” Like you know what certain body language means, there’s no questioning that. Sometimes things are not always as they seem though, of course. I’ve gotten to know what certain energies mean over time because it’s all part of a larger world. And I can prove this world because it’s consistent. I hear a lot of the same things over and over. It’s not random. Just like body language isn’t random we know what certain things mean. The thing that is tricky though is that the energy is of course being filtered through my ego, my own agenda etc. So that’s where I get can get stuck and make things seem a certain way when they really aren’t.

The pros are that I can navigate reality with so much more clarity. Before this happened it was almost like I was walking around the world spiritually blind and deaf. Feeling around in the dark. Now I can actually see like— people’s intentions and the meaning behind their actions and I understand the collective pain body more (in my area, it’s different in other places) and knowing that just has given me so much more well understanding of humanness. The big glaring con:it’s overwhelming. I’m always aware of it, I can’t turn it off. Hard to be in crowds. Often the energy is really dark and negative. I do have moments of quiet where I’m not tuned in for sure (like often when I’m alone) but yeah it’s a lot.

No it was something that just happened to me and I previously had hardly heard the term. What do you mean what happens in my experience? I’m a highly sensitive person who just became more so after several ayahuasca ceremonies. I actually don’t know exactly what energy is I haven’t really thought how I would define it but I’m going to say it is life force. So mine is connected to humans and some animals(mostly dogs but I don’t always hear them) I don’t hear trees or rocks kinda thing and I’m not “hearing the energy of the world” more like person to person. When I’m say, walking down the street I will hear each and every person’s energy that I pass (for the most part). It sounds like an actual word and/or tones(angry, surprised etc.) In the way that I experience this, all the tones and words I hear are in the exact same “voice”. But I can tell, let’s say I’m in a crowded room, I can tell which tone is coming from which person. One big insight from this is that we as living humans really do have an energetic field. I know it sounds hippy dippy but it’s true. The field is made up of what we’ve been through in the past like traumas, our thoughts affect the field, what we eat and consume with our minds. We are always carrying something and that has a palpable imprint that others can feel in one way or another (whether or not we are conscious of it). And this is because we literally are all one. Sorry I know it sounds new agey but it’s true! The energetic world is vast and this is just my experience with this particular part of it.

Self-deception is incredibly massive and goes very deep. Therapy can absolutely help you become more self aware. I wouldn’t be too hard on yourself about it though. Like we alllll do it. It’s a survival technique. We literally have to deceive ourselves in one way or another to be alive. But it doesn’t make us evil or bad. We aren’t doing it intentionally. Once you see the ways that you deceived yourself you can feel disappointed and then change! for me, it is frustrating to know that there is a lot I am “missing”, like stuff I’m not conscious of. But there’s literally only one thing I can do—keep on this path. I know I’m giving it my all, I’ve been through a lot and there’s a lot to work through.

Psychedelics just expand your perspective. How you choose to move from there is independent of them.

Too real

I’m 34. I was raised religious and always felt a strong connection to spirit. I smoked 4-aco-dmt at 19 and that really changed my perspective. I did more psychedelics and felt like I started to understand the “connection”. At 22 I attended a 10-day vipassana retreat and that’s when I realized I was on a serious path. That’s kinda how everything started for me.

There’s something to be said about “layers” as well. Maybe you have broken through one layer of development and think that’s it but then later on a new layer of that issue reveals itself. It just means you are getting better and better, learning new ways to work through the problem, not that you are falling back.

Energy healing is definitely real…just probably not this haha

Feeling awesome can come from other things and it’s not limited to just understanding reality

Wait JP says that? I mean being human means being creative in some way or another. Are you wanting to be more creative?

I’ve had 12 ayahuasca ceremonies and it opened me up to all sorts of energies. It’s been a strange 2 years…

@Santiago Ram duude you have to be willing to do hard things. Practice makes perfect. You can start by doing things that require a small amount of self control and work your way up.

I had the craziest awakenings at a vipassana retreat many years ago. I was already in a sensitive place due to other things(ahem) but yah I was completely sober the entire retreat and I experienced some pure bliss moments(insane) and also very uncomfortably awoke fully to how I had been living a lie among other things. The next retreat I did though, nothing happened (no crazy awakenings).

I would focus more on what you want to see in the world and how you can contribute to that than figuring out why Leo is the way he is ❤️
