Human sanity is a very narrow, limited experience of Consciousness. Consciousness is capable of operating in much more extreme and exotic ways. Humans demonize those exotic states of Consciousness because they are not useful for survival and they are very threatening to the normal human worldview so they cannot be admitted as "real". Of course. New experience expands your mind and helps deepen your understanding of everything.

It's hard to explain. I am working on a video about that. Or maybe I will cover it in my new course. I'm still researching it. It involves very irrational states of consciousness which make sense of reality is utterly nonhuman ways: for example, microscopic gnomes riding 4 dimensional zippers.

I can still have "bad" trips. But I push myself to explore the edges of Consciousness. Carefully, not recklessly.

These days when I trip, I set my intention to experience insanity and madness. So I can appreciate it. It isn't easy, but it makes the mind stronger. It's like going to the gym.

It sounds like your focus is on the wrong thing. Focus on what you're naturally passionate about and interested in, not what is "most important" in some abstract sense. I guarantee that whether you learn all of math, physics, or chemistry, you will barely understand anything about the ultimate structure of reality. So just study what you enjoy most. If you like chemistry, just focus on that without worrying about physics. It doesn't matter that chemistry relies on physics.

Math, physics, and chemistry has little do with programming. Most programming does not require more than high school level math. If you like math and physics and want to combine it with something practical and well-paid, then consider engineering. That seems more suitable for you than programming. As far as chemistry, I'm sure there are many well-paying jobs for good chemists or chemical engineers. Materials science is a very interesting field that combines chemistry and engineering.

Well, you might have to let go of such a selfish demand. Good leadership requires a more collaborative attitude where it's not all about you. This requires maturing yourself. The nice thing is that others are effectively real at the normal human level of consciousness. They only lose their realness at higher levels. So if you want others, just stay at the human level and stop torturing yourself with lofty metaphysical ideas. But if you want Awakening, then you will have to confront some difficult truths and madness is part of that. Consciousness at its higher levels does veer into madness. You gotta enjoy that sorta thing. It's an acquired taste. Personally, I find solipsism profoundly beautiful. But this requires a proper framing of it. If you frame it as bad then you can't see its beauty. It's funny why people are so desperate for everything to be "real", when it's much better that everything is imaginary. It's better that everything is a dream. Waking up requires an appreciation of dreams. Yes you're dreaming, but that IS reality, and that's great. You gotta start treating life like a divine game, full of fun tricks.

Pat's politics is just not very good. He's very stage Orange biased. There is a valid concern though about competitiveness. A 4 day work week may make those countries less competitive and lose business. It is true that if you want to start a business you will have to work way more than 4 days a week. As an entrepreneur you don't have such a luxury. If you're a worker at a big successful business that's another matter. The 4 day work week might be best if linked to the success of the business. Like if a business reaches a certain level of success/profit, then it is required to switch to 4 days a week. But if the business is struggling, then it's 5 days a week. I think that would be a good compromise.

Yes, psychedelics without good epistemology will just tend to double down on your biases. There is a lot of stuff a Christian will refuse to see on psychedelics and so they probably won't be doing it again because it would eventually destroy their whole worldview.

I never said it had to be good at coding itself. But it could be given the ability to experiment on itself and learn through trail and error and studying scientific literature on neural networks.
