Don't even get me started on NTFs. They are the epitome of pure bullshit. If you are paying hard earned money for NFTs, you're a true sucker and you deserve to lose all your money. Shame on anyone who tries to sell their art as NFT.

@Devin Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. That is certainly the slippery slope that conservatives are freaked out about. Just as progressives see DeSantis as a slippery slope to Hell, conservatives see LGBTQ as a slippery slope to Hell.

@Tanz Yes, he could do all that, but you're basically criticizing him for not being more manipulative and sneaky. If you're gonna criticize Bill Gates, you should at least go with the Jeffery Epstein angle. If that one were true, that would be a serious criticism. The other criticisms of him I don't find to be serious. Then again, you could be smearing an innocent man as a pedophile. People LOVE to hate on Bill Gates even more than they love to hate on CNN. They hate him because they need someone to blame all their political problem on, and they are too simple-minded to understand the complex realities of politics.

All school curriculum is heavily moderated and decided on by the state. I hardly even remember a time in my school days where I just walked up to a bookshelf and got some random book to read. Mostly what we read in school are textbooks -- which are super-curated, written specifically for children -- or some classic fiction books like Hamlet or the like -- which are also selected carefully. I'm not sure why you need gay books on school bookshelves. It's just not a very serious issue to me. It's shallow stuff even if it is heavy-handed from DeSantis. It's culture war stuff, not serious policy that really matters. Access to books or information is not really an issue in America. This precisely the logic that right-wingers use to demonize the left as socialists. This is exactly what Jordan Peterson does when he talks about the left. This is known as the slippery slope fallacy. Anything you disagree with can be rationalized as one step on a slippery slope to Hell. And therefore it becomes impossible to compromise, because to give even one inch might mean we end up in Hell. I think you're underestimating that. This is precisely the point of disagreement in your worldview and that of conservatives. Conservatives take this issue seriously whereas you don't. I'm not fully sure who's right. But I don't see the conservative position here to be as crazy as it is portrayed by progressives. Progressives simply refuse to seriously consider the possibility that gender fluid teachings could cause problems for children. To me this is an open question, worthy of serious discussion and empirical testing. It is not right to just dismiss it as transphobia.

Show me a case of a child having their genitals chopped off.

He sounds perfectly authentic to me. He's just not some social media celebrity. He's a serious person. People who are chronically online have forgotten what a serious person looks like. Sending an email to ask out an employee out for dinner? That's what you're gonna whine about? You understand that powerful and ambitious people like to fuck too? What do you want him to do, open a Tinder profile?

@The Mystical Man Banned. You should not be here. If you are here just to hate-watch, I will kick you out. If you do not agree with the core values of these teachings, please just leave. Stop wasting your time. The thing is, I have zero interest in controlling anyone here. What I care about is that you take the work seriously. If you do, we will get along great. If you don't, we will have a problem. You guys need to understand how dead serious I am about this work. I am not going to enterain your drama and human games. Get to work, or leave. What you have to take into account is how much personal attention I give to you. How much I make myself available to you. 40,000 posts. No other spiritual teacher does that. Despite how compassionate and sweet they may appear. So I have to be very protective of clowns wasting my time. Just because I make myself available does not mean you are allowed to waste my time with games and gaslighting. I make myself available to those who are serious. This forum is not to be used to create distractions and play games. You should notice something. Whenever I get cunty with you, it's whenever I see you playing games, spreading misinformation, or wasting time. Of course you are unlikely to agree that you are doing such things. And that's where we clash. In the end I have to make a judgment call whether you are doing such things. Sometimes it's clear, other times it's less clear. My top propority for this forum is to regulate it in a way that it does not become a distraction for me or for you from doing the work we need to do to reach the highest levels of consciousness available to us. This forum will only stay online if I see people doing the work and not using it to waste time on petty human stuff. Some folks will find this "abusive" because you are so used to people indulging your human stuff. When the indulgence stops and things get seruous, you cry "abuse". -
That is def bad policy. However you conveniently left out points I made about kids being taught gender fluidity and how much that can screw them up. That is the real crux of the issue here. Sure, if you totally dismiss that then what DeSantis is doing seems insane. Or, you could consider the possibility that DeSantis is actually trying to protect kids. But that doesn't fit the progressive narrative. There is no way a right-winger could actually care about protecting kids. I don't take the felony stuff too seriously because I sorta doubt people will be seriously charged and convicted over it. But yes, it does have a chilling effect on teachers. And if hundreds of teachers start to be put in prison for having a gay book in the classroom, I will speak out against that. But I think progressives are fearmongering about that too much. I don't see that happening in practice. I'm not even sure how constitutional that would be. I basically trust our strong institutions to keep far right-wing policy in check. There would be a lot of legal challenges to such laws. Many of the things Trump passed were simply struck down or never enforced because they were silly too silly. Jordan Peterson made a giant stink about how he will be put in jail if he doesn't use certain gender pronouns in Canada. But in practice none of that happened. So you have to look at the practical consequences of legislation. I don't like how both sides exaggerate and demonize each other. Progressives are certainly guily of this. DeSantis is not the end of the world. Yes he passes some bad policies. It's like you are forcing people to have your demonized view of DeSantis, or else they are wrong. And what I'm saying it that that's a self-deception.

Not really, unless you jump out a window.

A hallmark of Russian institutions is that they are deeply incompetent due to all the corruption. Americans cannot comprehend such levels of incompetence. But the big advantage that Russia has is that Russians are tough. They are not pussies like Americans. They can kill 1,000,000 of their own to achieve a goal.

@Twega There is endless scientific technical stuff to try too. But that doesn't mean any of it will work. You can't just assume it will.

It feels white, but it doesn't look white. It's like a sigularity of pure awareness. Technically is is pure Infinity/Love. A formless ocean of Infinite Love. Well, do some serious 5-MeO and ye shall meet it. No. You've never encountered it in your life yet. -
I like to do dates in large outdoor shopping centers, where there is endless little shops and the whole date is basically a stroll. I don't like to sit at a restuarant. You want to bounce around without having to drive.

You characterize his position correctly. Find out for yourselves who is right. -
Dude, what are you smoking? Putin literally killed tens of thousands of his own boys within a period of 1 year. By the time that war is over he will probably have killed 100,000 Russian men. And that is not counting all the Ukrainian civilians. What Putin is doing is way worse than Iraq. And he is not interested in helping Ukraine rebuild, the way the US did. It's way worse! The US was not shelling Iraqi apartment buildings and hositpals. Putin is doing war crimes like crazy. For sure America is dangerous when it goes to war because the military power is so massive. I was not talking about America as a government, I was talking about individual politicians. Putin orders assassintions of journalists and the like. The worst US politicians cannot compare. He is extremly competent. Putin is a genius. American politicians are fools next to him. But Putin is too ruthless for his own good.

It certainly isn't limited to 11 dimensions. That is a very artificial construct. Salvia is insane. It will deatroy all your ideas of awakening and nonduality. It's way more profound than anything Buddhism teaches. It's not merely that you see some crazy object like watching it on a screen. In order to see that object requires your whole field of consciousness to undergo a radical transition where you hardly feel human any more. That is the scary part. You lose your humanity and sanity in the process. Then you see some impossible geometry, as you are in the middle of losing your mind.

I simply disagree with that whole paradigm. Consciousness is far more clever than that. You are not going to outsmart Consciousness in that way. Consciousness is way smarter than you. -
Leo Gura replied to DualityHurts's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It's hard to know what you mean by that. But basically, YES. I've had awakenings like that. This ALL has the quality of no form whatsoever, because it is a superposition of all possible things. This would be the Godhead or pure Infinity. You are conscious of every possible thing that could exist at once. But you are not conscious of anything in particular. That ALL is a pure metaphysical abstraction. So don't expect it to have any form. It is not like seeing a billion TV screens at once. It is more like a singularity of pure awareness. -
Obviously. But why would anyone expect to predict such a thing? This is why I cannot predict which of you is ready for my teachings. I cannot tell who of you is on the brink of suicide vs who is gonna wake up tomorrow. And I don't bother to care. You are at whatever level you are and only you can decide if a teaching is suitable for you. I can't help a person who isn't ready, just like I can't tell you which food you will like.

Yeah, well, that's the case. Truth cannot be anything other than what it is. You cannot stop existing. You will always exist whether you want to or not. But "trapped" is a bad frame. You are not trapped, you are Absolute Truth, forever. If this causes you some kind of negative feeling then you haven't fully gotten it. It's 100% positive. Full Awakening is 100% positive. So use that as your measure of wokeness. If there's something you dislike about it then you haven't fully gotten it. No sadness, no wanting things to be different or better. It is not possible for anything to be better than Awakening. Awakening is Absolutely The Best. -

You have to be extremely careful to distinguish time from change. Change is more real than time. Change is happening and then time is an imaginary construct projected on top of change. Change does not require time, and in fact change happens within Eternity. Every moment is Eternal, but then this Eternity is hidden from your awareness because you imagine a context for the moment which we call time. Time is you imaginig seconds, minutes, days, weeks, years, past, future, etc. This generates an artificial context for Consciousness which would otherwise be Eternal or timeless. But just because it is Eternal and timeless does not mean it doesn't change. It still flows. But the flow is not happening within any context and hence not within time. Time is something the mind constructs and projects onto Consciousness. Likewise with space. Space is a construct, however that does not mean that you cease experiencing a 3D room. The room is still there, but you can strip the room of the projection called space. Time and space are more than mere conceptual constructs. They are constructs of a deeper sort. You are literally dreaming time and space into being. But you can also undream them. Time and space are contexts for Consciousness, which is naturally context-less unless you construct a context for it. What I mean by context is something like: you can imagine that your experience right now is a VR simulation. That would be you creating a context to situate your raw experience. Or you could remove that context and then you would have no idea what your raw experience is. You would just have raw experience, unexplained by anything, not situated in anything. Not in time, not in space, not in a brain, not in a Universe, not even part of a human life. All those are contexts. And Consciousness in its purest form simply has no context of any kind. Or you could say Consciousness is situated in the NULL context. Which is just another way to say Nothingness. Experience is nothing, nowhere, nowhen, nohow, noway. -
Leo Gura replied to billiesimon's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This is a very problematic frame. It's far too reductionistic. I would say that Jed hasn't even seen the deepest degrees of waking up because he hasn't sufficiently explored Consciousness. Exploring Consciousness is a crucial aspect of Awakening. Awakening cannot be reduced to a binary matter. You can lose your sense of self, but even that comes in degrees and it is not identical to Awakening. Just because you lost your sense of self does not say much about how conscious you are. A cat does not have much sense of ego, but it is nowhere near Awake. -
Leo Gura replied to MisterNobody's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That framing doesn't really apply. There is not a "where" that things are hidden. It's more like you have a TV screen and it can show various images. But when an image isn't shown, it doesn't exist anywhere else. God is a mind that imagines everything around itself in all directions. That's just what reality is: A sovereign mind imagining in 360. You have to drop the idea of an external world where objects or creatures exist by themselves. There simply isn't such a thing. There is only the NOW, but it morphs around. -
It's impossible to try everything. When your health is bad it's a labor to try each next thing that fails to work. Randomly throwing stuff at the wall and hoping that something magically sticks is a terrible strategy. You will end up wasting a lot of time and money and get nowhere. I have tried every reasonable thing that had a decent chance of working. I am not gonna go on a wild goose chase, testing every New Age thing under the sun. At some point you have to accept your situation rather than trying to deny it. Genetics are a huge factor that you simply don't control.
