  1. We have an older thread just like this with many examples. Please search.
  2. Quality videos are important. No one is claiming the video is a replacement for work. You watch the video then you work it. Meditation alone will make you stupid. Proper theory is required. There is much more to this work than mindless meditation. And the forum is not for work, the forum is for relaxing from the work. You can't work 24/7.
  3. Dude, I'm sorry but this is weak-sauce. This is not abuse. This is an incovenience.
  4. You didn't communicate any of this in the video. You rambled around in vague generalities. If you are going to expose a cult you have to dish all the dirt, the worst of the worst. Yes, I watched the entire thing. I was waiting for an hour to nut and left with blueballs.
  5. Your view is far too short. Soon enough Swedes will be fucking aliens.
  6. Both these things are imaginary. So Truth doesn't need to be before or after them.
  7. Hey, ya'll, I need your help! I want to create a comprehensive list of video examples of prototypical stage Green thinking. This is not meant to humiliate or demonize stage Green. It's meant to be an educational tool for people learning about Spiral Dynamics. So towards that end, scour Youtube and find all the videos you can which exhibit stage Green thinking. Try to find videos which are short and sweet. The more diversity we can display here, the better. Try to find examples from various cultures: Europe, Middle East, Asia, Indonesia, Japan, Russia, Africa, South America, etc. We will create a mega-thread like this for every stage in the Spiral, from Red to Turquoise. But here, let's just focus on Green. Each week I will start a new mega-thread topic for the next stage. Do not start a political debate in this thread! It is not our goal here to defend our personal political positions or to judge any stage, but simply to compile examples. Thanks for your help! I'm excited to see what kind of juicy stuff you dig up. Try to be selective with your choices. This can turn into a really cool list. 8. Aahahahaha.... Girls love to screw you with those filters. You gotta explicitly forbid them to use filters from day one. Or they will send you all kinds of fake bullshit. My God. The world is so fucking fake you can't even trust a picture from your girlfriend. Gotta run it through a fraud detection service.
  9. I don't know about that. If I operated on that rule I would have lost 90% of sex. My standards are impossible to meet.
  10. As soon as you can find them. Starting solo is there in case it takes you a while to find someone. Not gonna lie, solo is brutally hard. It grows you the fastest but I don't trust anyone to learn game solo. That is hellishly hard. I wouldn't trust myself to manage that feat. That's like going to war alone. Vodka cranberry. Don't get hammered. One or two drinks max. Just enough to loosen you up.
  11. Fascism IS conservative. Not American conservative, but conservative in general. American conservatives have a moronic idea of what conservative means. American conservatives are so ignorant they don't even know world conservatism. As if American conservatives are some special breed of creature doing something original. Conservatives are so ignorant they don't even understand their own psychology. Because to understand it would be too ugly.
  12. You guys need to start distinguishing a cult from an organization. Every organization behaves in self-serving, group-thinky ways. That does not make it a cult. The word cult has become so overused that it has lost all meaning. Which is a case of boy cries wolf. Do not call something a cult unless it is abusive, exploitative, and uses mind-control techniques to trap people.
  13. @Consilience Well, I finished watching your whole video. I did not understand what made this organization a cult. It sounds like you had disagreements with leadership decisions and values and in typical Zen hierarchical fashion they are not a democracy and don't want your feedback. From the things you spoke, it's hard for me to classify that as a cult. It sounds more like a typical hierarchical organization. I don't mean to dismiss your claims. But from your video I did not hear serious abuse or mind-control techniques. From what I heard from you in the video, your biggest complaint is that leadership did not listen to your suggestions. I am left thinking: either you did not communicate the abuse, or MAPLE is not a cult. Perhaps you wish to communicate more. I cannot post that video as an example of a cult. It sounds more like a dissatisfied customer.
  14. I would need much more details to have an opinion.
  15. Eckhart Tolle sat on a park bench for 2 years. David Hawkins was alone in meditation for 6 months. Om Swami spent 3-6 month is 24/7 solo meditation on a freezing cold mountain. Peter Ralston lived alone in the jungle in Hawaii for 2 years. Daniel Ingram has done many multi-week 24/7 retreats. This is realistically what it takes to achieve serious spiritual results. That's why it's rare.
  16. Stop with this false equivocating. A real cult is a serious, abusive, dangerous situation. It's not just some minor, run-of-the-mill corruption or group-think. You do not understand what a real cult is. It's like you're telling someone in a dangerous situation: "Oh well, being alone at home is also dangerous." No. These are not the same thing. A person in an abusive situation does not need relativism, they need decisive action.
  17. Yeah, that's the bitch of dating. A lot of very difficult and sensitive scenarios there. It's very hard to find the right long-term girl if your standards are high. But if your standards are so high and you're so honest about them, you'll basically not get laid for years or a decade -- which is also unworkable. You're left with all sorts of grey choices. I don't have a solution for you. Try to minimize their suffering and try not to lead them on if they are hoping for something long-term and you know they are not good enough for you. Try to make it clear if you are only interested in them for short-term fun. Lying about wanting kids is quite problematic. Be careful! A girl who wants kids can trick you into having a kid without you even knowing about it. Do not get girl pregnant who is not long-term material. That will turn into a nightmare. Do not impregnate a girl with mental disorders. She will make your life a living hell. Regarding the kids situation, you gotta tell her you don't want kids. She will probably still keep seeing you unless she is older and very serious about kids. But if she is that serious, leading her on there is not right.
  18. 1) Of course it's possible to meditate and concentrate 12+ hrs per day if you have no other obligations. That's what a Vipassana retreat it. I've done it. So have hundreds of thousands of people. You just haven't done a retreat so you are inexperienced with the field. 2) The point about the monks is that even in a monastery mostly what people do is survival, not spiritial practice. 3) I wasn't telling you to become a monk. I was explaining the power of social survival.
  19. @Magnanimous How it's okay is if you are doing good work and the work naturally makes you well-known. But even in that case it would be unconscious to invent a whole brand and business to milk and juice that fame to the max. There is a whole industry behind every celebrity to milk and juice their audience by any means possible. To feed the fans, to feed the adoration, to use it for power, for narcissistic supply, for luxury, to do fake twitter posts, fake PR events, etc. For example, Albert Einstein was well known for his good work, which is fine. But then imagine in today's age he would have an Einstein brand that sells Einstein merch and milks the fanbase. And he would have some social media consultant posting promotional tweets on his behalf. There is a huge fakeness and whoring factor to most big celebrities.
  20. That is true because in the past people were less spoiled and less demanding for personal gratification. People would settle for the first person they slept with. Today it is impossible to be happy because everyone is looking to maximize personal happiness and there are endless options and much more freedom. It's easy to be married when life has a gun to your head. Blaming this on feminism is a sucker's move. The improvement of material survival conditions of society as a whole leads to freedom and also spoilage. Men today are very spoiled playing video games all day instead of socializing.
  21. @Joshe Alcohol is not required for fun at the club. I never drank. Owen Cook didn't drink. Julien didn't drink. And I know pickup friends who don't drink. It's called building your own state.
  22. It is fantasy that dating was ever equal. Dating has never been communism. Dating is literally about creating as much inequality as possible. Everyone has always dated the best they can.
