I see too much low quality political posting here. What I mean by low quality is shamelessly biased takes, factually under-informed takes, low quality social media content, conspiracy theories, etc. If I see that you are consistently doing that, over and over again, for months, your account will be downgraded to remove permissions to post to the Politics sub-forum. If you wish to post in this sub-forum I better see that you are able to restrain your biases, not just using this forum to vent them out. Admittedly this is a very subjective call, but in some cases it's obvious when someone is here to spread biased and low quality political takes. This includes shameless apologetics for Zionism and Trumpism, trying to downplay or deny the obvious wrongs of these political movements. I will attempt to be less biased in my posting too, so that this is not just about pleasing my biases. I do not like dictating what are the right political takes. In general, I ask that you improve the quality of your political posts and think twice about whether your post adds something of value to the discussion at all, or don't post it.

I don't have experience with India so I don't know why rape is so common there. I would guess the problem is related to the culture's lack of acceptance for casual sex. From what I understand sex in India mostly requires getting married, which leaves many people sexually frustrated.

One of Destiny's fans accused me of buying my YT channel and rebranding it, because my views were too low.

Of course YT is a big part of the hyper capitalism I was talking about. People like me, who try to provide deep and unbiased political analysis, cannot compete on YT or any media. Because to be popular one has to do drama and play to the biases of some audience. As a result, no actual sense-making happens. What happens is polarization, misunderstanding, and outrage politics. For politics to be healthy it must be grounded in serious sense-making. Which no one wants to invest time and energy to do, because people would rather get outraged, or chase fame and clicks and millions of dollars, or push some survival agenda. The entire media ecosystem is corrupted by greed, popularity chasing, moral outrage, tribalism, virtue signaling, ideology, and survival. This perfectly explains why our politics is so dysfunctional. Hyper-capitalism super-charges all these issues. So really, what we're seeing is a peak Stage Orange society. Other nations are not as hyper-capitalist, they are more chill. In America, rather than serious sense-making, people are interested in chasing money and success. So here we are.
