  1. @momo By your logic, shooting a video game character in the head is proof that his head is keeping him alive and running the simulation. Does the character's head produce the Game Over screen? Does a video game character even exist, let alone cause anything?
  2. You don't stay in an isolation tank for 1 week. Again, this is a very specific technique that cannot be half-assed.
  3. @Rinne No, the room must be pitch black all the time. A closet will not work. It's not dark enough. You need a perfectly light-proof chamber.
  4. @Vingger Like that girl in black, but with the top leg laying on the floor. I am suggesting a more relaxed and easy pose. Anyone can do it. You don't need to lift your leg up anywhere fancy. That guy in the picture is not in a good pose. His legs are too high and his heel isn't touching his taint. The legs should be more touching the floor, holding more of your weight. Knees lower to the ground. Use a firm cushion to raise your butt and lower your knees.
  5. No, I swap out various practices for others. I replaced self-inquiry with yoga for example. I still meditate separately on most days. I usually do at least 2 hours of meditative practices per day. But if you're new to this, less is okay. Kriya yoga is a good replacement for meditation once your routine stack builds up to about 40 minutes.
  6. The essence of extroversion isn't being social, but having a system of perception where you exist "out there" in the world more than you do inside your skull. And enlightenment is basically the eradication of the mind (the internal mental space), such that all that remains is the "outside world". The outside world becomes your new mind and body. Actions are no longer run through a gauntlet of internal analysis like they do for introverts. Don't confuse this with becoming social. It's a change in perceptual attitude. Imagine living in a way where "mind" ceased to exist for you. Where you didn't think any thought which was not publicly known to all people around you. Maybe you've noticed, psychedelics make you more extroverted.
  7. I wouldn't worry about full lotus posture. It's unnecessary and actually seems unhealthy for the knees. Just place one heel at your perennium and the other leg folded in nearby but still on the floor.
  8. @zunnyman Give yoga a try and see how things go. Also, it's time to ditch all wheat. Bite the bullet. You won't regret it.
  9. Watch your generalizations. Enlightenment should actually be easier for extroverts because enlightenment is extroversion. Introversion is being stuck in your own mind.
  10. Yes you will. Your sex drive may actually increase.
  11. Yes, there is a huge difference. Using a blindfold will not work. You need absolutely zero light. Which is not easy to achieve. You will not achieve that at home without serious preparations.
  12. Here's the new video: https://www.actualized.org/insights/dont-half-ass-yoga
  13. Less mental-masturbation, more self-inquiry. Sit down and do the work. Or don't.
  14. Truth was never the aim of society. The aim of society has always been inventions to aid survival, and that's what it will continue to be for a long time.
  15. @moon777light Sadhguru is an excellent guru. He is not corrupt. But of course opinions on such things will differ. For you, all of this is just hearsay. If you are interested in a spiritual path, you must actually walk it to know whether it will suit you. You cannot ask people on an online forum to determine that for you. When it comes to gurus and teachers you must be extra-careful with your judgements, expectations, doubts, and projections. Such people are at levels of consciousness which you cannot imagine, and what they do and why they do it may not make sense from your current level.
  16. No, it will not give you want I said. I was talking about a serious full-length Kriya practice. What you are doing is dabbling in one technique. That will not produce a sigificant change. Yoga must be done seriously. If you are too cheap or too lazy to get the book and follow it rigorously, then yoga is not for you. Yoga routines must be done perfectly. DO NOT HALF-ASS YOGA!
  17. Of course yoga requires radical openmindedness. It does not fit the Western materialist paradigm at all. This is a very advanced practice for serious spiritual seekers. This is not for armchair skeptics. Btw, you don't need to beleive the metaphysical explanations offered. You just need to do the techniques. Although if you are too skeptical of the entire process you may as well not start because you will not have the vision and discipline to execute it. Yoga must be done seriously. You cannot half-ass the techniques.
  18. No Just follow the manual. Do not innovate or concoct your own stuff or your own problems.
  19. Yoga is not simple. If you do not want to practice it properly, don't practice it at all. It's like you're asking, "Someone give me one simple technique for being a surgeon. I don't want to go through all of medical school. I just want one simple technique."
  20. 75 is dying early? Lol Yogananda died at 59. Although it might have been a mahasamadhi.
  21. @solr I have a video called How To Love Yourself. That might help.
  22. @Paulo Barbosa Then contemplate. That is the method.
  23. @How to be wise Because it is a highly technical book, not for casual readers. It is only worth buying if you are going to commit to a year of practice. Without my video about it, 99% of people would not get much value from the book.
  24. @StephenK Mushrooms can get real hairy at 4g. You've just been lucky. If you do mushrooms long enough, don't be surprised if one day they bitchlap you.
