Culturally, Ukraine is deeply intertwined with Russia. Don't act like this is Russia conquering some foreign land or people. That's the whole reason why Putin doesn't want to just cede Ukraine to the West. Because Ukraine is so connected to Russian culture and identity. Why would Putin allow what is essential Russia to get into the hands of Westerners from across the globe? If you think this is analogous to conquering some foreign people you just don't understand Russian culture. Ukraine is not like invading Germany. Ukraine is Russia, basically. A piece of Russia that broke off.

Russia doesn't have to be imperialist just because it fights some wars around its borders where many Russian people live. It's not like Russia is trying to conquer Poland or Kazakhstan. Yeah, I don't like how bots make very stupid blunders. Their difficulty doesn't scale down intelligently as one would expect.
