All memory is imagination. You are imagining your childhood right now, which grounds your sense of self. Otherwise you would not know how you got here or what you are. God is dreaming that it is a human. This requires constructing a backstory. You are imagining your heart right now

@ivory Just do it and face your fear. It's like taking a cold shower. You just do it. Then you will get used to it and enjoy it. 5-MeO-DMT is a very benevolent psychedelic. It doesn't screw around.

Leo Gura replied to kieranperez's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events It's a natural part of China's development. Racism and genocide can only be overcome by growing through it.

Leo Gura replied to StarStruck's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God I would get such things as a powder. 5-MeO-DiPT should have a dose of 5-20mg.

All this misses the point. The real point is to get your mother to contemplate what it would be like if she reincarnated and lived life as every member of society. So in the next life she will not be a successful business person but a poor immigrant with bad genetics, bad childhood, and a chronic disease. Your mother's business success is not merely a function of hard work. That success is built on a foundation which your mother is not in control of: genetics, place of birth, parents, good health, favorable economic system, etc. She takes all that for granted by assuming that all people in society are like her. Well, they aren't. Not even close. Imagine if her child had an incurable lifelong disease which forced her into bankrupcy and homelessness. That's exactly right, she is denying responsibility for being a member of society. It's to say that others aren't working hard enough when work comes easily to you and you benefit in a thousand other ways. Her success is the result of society. It is not her own.

There is no difference between within and without. When you look up at the stars, you are looking at the face of God. The budget for space exploration is tiny and it is better to spend it there than on more weapons of war.

Leo Gura replied to electroBeam's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events You can run but you can't hide. It is not possible to live outside of society. You're gonna have to make peace with that fact sooner or later. The real question is, how do you want to relate with society?

Leo Gura replied to StarStruck's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God That is not 5-MeO-DMT. It will be significantly different.

I am collecting questions that I might answer in future vlogs. The idea is to focus each vlog on one question about living life. Make your questions clear and concise. Don't ask me personal questions about my life. Don't tell me your life story. Just ask your question. There's no guarantee that your question will be selected for a vlog or answered. Given my limited time I have to be selective. I would tend to pick questions that would interest lots of others viewers. So don't make your questions too personal. Such as, "Should I become an musician or a filmmaker?" or "How do I get girl X to fall in love with me?" Don't ask questions which are too technical, such as, "How do I do meditation technique X?" Examples of the kind of questions I'm looking for: Is it worthwhile to go college? Should I major in something I enjoy or something which is practical & earns money? What should I be focused on developing in my early 20s? How do I overcome fear of failure when starting a business? What is required to succeed in business? How do I become successful? Do all intimate relationships end in failure or is it possible to make them work? How do I balance between pursuing a career vs pursuing enlightenment? What is the role of technology in self-actualization? How do I self-actualize if I'm living in an under-developed 3rd world country? Should I become a monk? Is this a viable life path? How important is money for self-actualization? What is the proper role of money? I seem to be stuck in a rut. How do I motivate myself to start doing the work? Can I ignore enlightenment entirely and just focus on success? What will be the result of that? Okay, you get the idea. Ask away. What questions do you have about living life?

Leo Gura replied to r0ckyreed's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God @r0ckyreed Yes, empty awareness. You ain't ever gonna find a "thing" behind the eyes. All you will find is degrees of emptiness. And emptiness is not behind the eyes, it is equally in all places, since it is nowhere.

Leo Gura replied to actualizing25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God @actualizing25 There is no clear answer. It depends a lot on you. It's a good idea to be open to exploring various methods to find those which resonate with you. Allow this to be a process of discovery and experimentation, that way you can stumble upon new stuff, new methods, new teachers, etc. Psychedelics will give you some solid glimpses but they will not be enough by themselves to embody awakening. You will need some manual practices. Developing your concentration ability is crucial. It think this holds people back the most. They can't focus the mind long enough to awaken.

Leo Gura replied to r0ckyreed's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God @r0ckyreed In practice you ain't gonna awaken without psychedelics and/or crazy concentration ability. The point of meditation, contemplation, yoga, self-inquiry is to develop very strong concentration ability which is necessary to break through. Concentration is the key. It changes your state of consciousness when done rigorously and for long periods of time. Psychedelics make concentration much easier. Otherwise you gonna have to train your ass off manually. Questioning beliefs is good, but it won't be enough by itself. Your state of consciousness has to change.

What is it you want out of life? We can't answer that for you. College is not going to solve any of your existential challenges.

Leo Gura replied to electroBeam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God No, all imagination and division comes to an end sooner or later and ends in Oneness/Truth. Dreams are always temporary. Awakening is not imagined. The dream is imagined. Awakening is beyond that.

Leo Gura replied to Endangered-EGO's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God @Endangered-EGO If what you were looking for worked, meditation retreats wouldn't be a thing. You are not going to be meditative all day long while doing everyday tasks without decades of serious training. Either limit your meditation to short but rigorous daily sessions, or do a full 10 day retreat. Otherwise you will be half-assing it and get nowhere. Effective meditation requires rigor.

Leo Gura replied to RendHeaven's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God Hypnosis is real and it can be powerful when done by a master. As far as videos go, of course those can be fake or exaggerted to gain views. As always, the more popular a thing is, the more dumb it tends to be.

Leo Gura replied to Jahmaine's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God He spent decades building up to that point. Lower your dose to 2g and CONTEMPLATE! It's not about quantity, it's about how you use it.

You're not a person at all. You are God/Love/Consciousness/Everything which has confused itself for a person. It is okay to be however you are and it is okay to make mistakes in life. Don't be so hard on yourself. Self-Love is the ultimate teaching.

Leo Gura replied to Jahmaine's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God @Jahmaine When you take too much, you won't be able to retain anything because it will feel like a dream.

Leo Gura replied to electroBeam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God Consciousness gets lost in itself and then always finds itself in the end becuase it is ONE. This can happen via a million pathways.
-
	Not sure about that.

Leo Gura replied to Cepzeu's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God God IS Love, so it already accepts itself as that. You just require more consciousness of yourself as That. You are only "alone" because you are ONE with all things and others. Don't overlook that.
-
It can, assuming you are willing. But if you are stubborn, then that is your karma and you are stuck until such time that you surrender your stubbornness. In a sense, karma is nothing other than your unwillingness to surrender.

Leo Gura replied to r0ckyreed's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God Whatever there is, you imagine it.

You can change them to whatever labels you resonate with, as long as it stays true to the original meaning. You can use a thesaurus.
