  1. A place you probably didn't even know existed:
  2. A new pair of shoes will feel uncomfortable the first few weeks you wear them.
  3. You confuse me with Moses.
  4. Deconstructing reality is part of the ego-deconstructing process. The point, though, is not to keep deconstructing reality, but to explore and interconnect it. You may have realized no-self, but there's still a ton of stuff you're not conscious of.
  5. Yes, of course! That's classic Yellow. Understanding > relationships When you're more excited by a new model than you are about sex, you're Yellow
  6. Of course it is! If you were truly selfless you wouldn't care about suffering. The avoidance of suffering is the epitome of survival, since suffering itself is survival. Paradoxically, the only way to transcend suffering is to stop caring about it. God doesn't really care about suffering. Which is why it exists.
  7. If you're gonna watch Dumb and Dumber, at least make it the original
  8. Sourcing questions are against Forum Guidelines.
  9. Why care about suffering? Why boil down God's Creation to the escape from suffering? Can you see how reductive, lame, and selfish that is? When you adopt an attitude of only caring about things in order to avoid them causing your suffering, this is biggest disrespect you can do upon God. It's like caring about a rose only to avoid its thorns.
  10. @Akemrelax Of course I made that distinction clear. But there is a further issue/question of how much genuine mystical understanding is present at Turquoise according to the official Spiral Dynamics narrative. It seems to be possible to be at Turquoise while mystically/spiritually clueless. And my explanation didn't account for such a travesty. Part of the problem is that we have so few Turquoise examples to analyze and the official narrative is not very clear as to where genuine mystical insight and nondual understanding falls on the model. The deeper question is: What does spirituality look like at Yellow and Turquoise?
  11. @electroBeam You make valid points. In retrospect, I did conflate them and I might re-shoot the Turquoise video to correct for that. At the time of shooting, I felt that ultimately we have to push towards nondual and mystical understanding, which requires leaving behind the Spiral model. Basically once you get to Yellow+, you should start seriously getting into nonduality and mysticism and transcend all models. Spiral Dynamics cannot give us the deepest levels of understanding and development that we seek. So I was trying to bridge that gap. Ken Wilber's model is actually better. The problem with Spiral Dynamics is that the people who invented it and teach it are not themselves awakened or mystical. This severely limits their understanding of human development. Ken Wilber has corrected for that.
  12. No they don't. Green, Orange, and Blue are not aware of the value and function of the lower stages. Yellow is. The Tier 1 stages are reactive and unaware that people are at various stages of development. Yellow is self-aware in a way that no previous stage is.
  13. The world of Zelda is inspired by Shinto Japan. It's full of shrines and animistic spirituality. Fairy fountains, magical totems, white and black magic, voodoo, elemental spirits, etc. Life at Purple can feel like living in a magical, enchanted world.
  14. Don't hold that intuition is the exclusive domain of sages, mystics, and artists. Intuition can be used in battle, business, criminality, conquest, and war. Intuition is a tool, like reason, which can be made to serve whatever value system.
  15. Purple can be violent too. Don't forget that! It's important to understand that Purple is not automatically peaceful hippies. Purple does tribal warfare and will drink soup from your skull cap. Fixed
  16. Simple: Love of wisdom Love of questioning reality Why does anything exist? How do we know anything for certain? What is the point of life? If God exists, who created God? What is the color red? What makes mathematics true? If I turn my back on the moon, does it still exist? Why does war happen? Even... What is philosophy? Etc. Every kid will understand such questions. So philosophy is simply the serious pursuit of such questions.
  17. Nope. There's no guarantee you will resume breathing and death is certainly possible if you over-dose to the point of not breathing. Do not give 5-MeO-DMT to others who are not prepared for it as you could screw up their psyches or even kill them.
  18. Hahahaha.... Nice try, devil! Utility is ALWAYS relative to your self. And morality is an invention of your self to justify its selfish ways. You cannot maximize those things because they are all relative. You're falling into the trap of self-bias and self-deception. All ideology or "ism" will do that. That's the whole point of ideology. See my videos: Understanding Survival Parts 1 & 2 Self-Bias Self-Deception Parts 1, 2, 3 Your mind is playing tricks on you. The #1 rule is DO NOT TRUST YOUR MIND!
  19. Because Red uses sex in an animalistic and predatory way, so of course Blue will want to control that via guilt and morality to enhance survival.
