@Onecirrus Pursue what you love the most and that will lead you to God. I suggest you transform your spiritual pursuits from a negative way into a positive way. The negative way is trying to escape suffering. The positive way is simply pursuing greater and greater love.

If you stop being selfish for just one minute you will realize that the Truth does not care about your ability to fuck. The only one you will ever fuck in your life is yourself. You can't have sex with a coffee table simply because you are a selfish bastard who is too biased to think straight. "But Leo, if you take away all my illusions how will I survive?" You won't. You'll die. Welcome to Truth. -
In practice the way you solve this problem is by: A) Talking to more girls B) Working on your LP so your mind is focused on larger things C) Jerking off so you are not desperate

No one is just going to reward your life purpose for you automagically, not even in best countries. You have to carve out your own niche in the marketplace. You have to be strategic about bootstrapping your passion. You may have to do some grindy work before you can reach a point where your passion is monetizable.

You suffer until you learn your lesson and move on. Suffering is the best teacher. If you are wise you will not get invested in any one girl until you sleep with her. In which case you just talk to other girls and don't even think much about the phone numbers you get. The rule this: don't invest in her at all until she's interested in sleeping with you. It's crucial that you stop daydreaming and fantasizing about the girls you approach, and even if you get her number. Just don't think about her. Only think about her enough to set up a date. But no more! Don't start imagining that this date will lead to anything.

They are as real as anything else you know. Just because something is imaginary does not mean you should lose interest or joy in interacting with it. This is a silly assumption. You read a novel and enjoy it knowing it's fiction. Life becomes MORE enjoyable when you realize it's all imaginary. This is what you guys are not getting. The desire for life to be "real" is just stupid. It's a game, and that is best. -

Yeah, well, get used to seeing more scientists opening up to the nondual paradigm and to mysticism. Over the next 200 years science and mysticism will converge. It will be a slow process but it will happen. P.S. Hoffman still does not understand what reality is. He's getting closer, but still far away. -

The same way you always have. You could die at any second. Yet you still made plans in your life. Yes Survival demands it. Of course belief is useful. Belief is commonly used because that's what is required for survival. Survival requires some bullshittery to get things rolling smoothly. Welcome to life, where bullshit is the fuel. Don't try to be so pure and holy that you refuse to wrestle in the mud. Survival is wrestling with pigs in the mud. If you don't like that, you're always free to stop surviving. -
@asifarahim You probably need to first address your loneliness by actually socializing and building relationships before you are ready to tackle loneliness at the existential level. Handle the basics before you embark on some Buddha quest.

Depends... What is normal for you? It doesn't not make sense that mushrooms would make you fall asleep or not comprehend speech. Anxiety, sure a bit of anxiety might arise from psychedelic use. I wouldn't panic over this just yet. Give it another week to stabilize. Do you have a history of mental illness or disorders? Psychedelics don't damage consciousness. Especially not at such low doses from a single trip. It sounds like you are just psyching yourself out with negative thinking.

Yup, that's usually how it works. Success is defined by you. Whatever it means to you is what it is. It's not so hard to imagine a stage Turquoise CEO. There's no contradiction. Achievement, mastery, success are all valid and important factors in constructing a good life for yourself. Achievement is not about achieving what society wants of you, it's about achieving your own dreams and values, whatever those are. Achievement does not have to mean money or materialistic things. It could be that, or it could be spiritual or artistic achievement.

There are certainly many cases where tumors were healed and disappeared simply through changing diet and other such natural remedies. But that does not mean you should bet on it working. It's not some 100% guaranteed solution. People can have very different immune systems. You gotta do lots of research into holistic medicine/healing and carefully test stuff out with a skeptical attitude. And if all that fails, you go for the surgery or traditional approach. Buy lots of books, do lots of research. This is step #1. As you do that, you will discover many things you can try. You will also learn about traps and dangers.

@Vision Reality and illusion are identical. You are dreaming. Enjoy the dream. Dream whatever dream you want. There is nothing outside the dream so don't wait for anything better or realer. This is it. -

You are conflating absolute and relative notions. I would not like to get kicked in the nuts, but that does not change the fact that a kick in the nuts is imaginary. If it is a guy, then obviously the notion of it being a girl has not been dispelled. -

For the same reason that lunch makes you feel satisfied and fulfilled. Don't overlook the point that there's nothing but illusions. When illusions are all you have, the fact that it's an illusion makes little difference to your mind. An imaginary blowjob is just as good as a real one when real ones don't exist -
Purifying samsakras is what spiritual work is all about. For deep samsakras like those of Owen, he's have to spent a lot of time basking in nondual consciousness. The kind of personal dev he's doing will not be enough. He would have to surrender his whole chasing for success and glory.

What happens is whatever you imagine, since you're God Notice how you keep trying to offload responsibility for reality onto some imaginary "other". As if you're not doing it. It's just a manner of speaking. Of course it's all imaginary at the absolute level. "Intercepting an email" is a relative level notion. Whether you imagine your can or can't, you're right The boundary is always more consciousness. Realizing that it's possible requires lots of consciousness. Actually doing it requires a ton more. Think of it this way: A good scientist understands that fusion power is possible. But it does not mean he can build a fusion reactor in his garage. Likewise, a good mathematician understands that Pi has an infinite number of digits. But he cannot tell you the 1 millionth digit of Pi off the top of his head. There's a lot of shit you can know but not do. This should not surprise anyone. The surprising thing would be the ability to do everything you know. You know airplanes can be piloted but this doesn't mean you can pilot one. -

Telepathy is possible simply because the entire Universe is your own mind. Consciousness has access to all parts of itself. You could, in theory, intercept an email message using your mind. If you were conscious enough. Since the email server exists nowhere else but in your mind. But you aren't conscious enough to do it in practice. -
PUAs cause a lot of collateral damage. As selfish people always do.

Of course Whatever culture you grew up in created a massive collective self-bias in you. This is nothing specific to Americans. Although Americans seem to make real asses of themselves in this regard because American culture is so dominant around the world that it makes Americans especially blind to it. Like fish in water. American culture is so dominant, so the norm, so the default position, that it does not even get recognized as a culture -- it just gets taken as reality. Especially something like capitalism or stage Orange business practices. These things are not seen as culture. -
Society does not give much of a damn about helping Incels become strong men. The work necessary is too ugly. People want healthy men but they don't want to know how the sausage is made.

Leo Gura replied to Milos Uzelac's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Just by being American a self-bias is created. Nearly all American media and journalism is self-biased in that way. -

No amount of meta-cognition can substitute for mystical experience and change in one's state of consciousness. State is king. -
Every society and culture regulates sex. Because it's highly central to survival. There are conventions for how sex ought to occur and who should be having it when and with whom. Pickup breaks many of those conventions and will therefore not be looked up kindly. And in truth plenty of pickup tactics are downright sociopathic and antisocial, so it's not like the stigma is entirely unjustified. The situation is messy. There is misunderstanding on both sides.
