Sex is very much important to maintain a spark in a relationship in order to keep the fire of love burning. Suppose if you are in a relationship since few months and haven’t even touched your partner yet. As you both will grow more affectionate of each other, you both will start holding hands.

After few months, you both will kiss each other for the first time and sooner or later, it will lead to intercourse. It’s human nature, people will get bored if there is nothing new in a relationship. Everyone likes to have some change in their old life, that’s what keeps everything going. Even the nature changes its seasons because it can’t keep on having the same season its entire life.

I am not saying that sex is very important. You can keep on having that spark in your relationship by trying many other things like doing some adventurous stuff like skydiving, travelling, trying new dishes et cetera along with your partner. But at some point, you will need it and do it only if you are serious about your relationship.

When I was 5 yrs old I was so obsessed with boobs I started drinking out of baby bottles in order to pretend I had one in my face.

When I was 9 yrs old I would steal my uncle's Playboy magazines and stare at them for hours.

Beware of worshipping sex. It’s a trap of life.

Sex is not the ultimate purpose of life. It is simply, apparently, one of the most pleasurable experiences in ordinary human chemistry.

Hard drugs can take you even higher. But it’s easy to understand why snorting cocaine or injecting heroin isn’t the purpose of life, unless you’re already addicted and stuck in that cycle.

But the same goes for sex when you turn it into an object of worship.

Sex addicts and porn addicts are among the most miserable people in the world, just like drug addicts. Which is kind of ironic, isn’t it?

If these activities are, in fact, among the most pleasurable experiences on the spectrum of human experience, then why are sex addicts and drug addicts often so miserable?

Because they have it wrong when they believe that pleasure is the purpose of life.

It’s not.

Pleasure will never, by itself, give your life any meaning. You can have sex with the entire human race, and you still won’t find meaning in life.

So, what is the meaning of life?

NOTHING. BEING. THIS MOMENT.

The follow up for this which I need to clarify and express :

from a purely biological perspective, nature made sex pleasurable to assure the survival of the species. If making babies wasn’t pleasurable enough, nobody would do it and the animal wouldn’t survive because it wouldn’t be able to spread its genes . 
this is simply programmed into our biology: survival and reproduction is the purpose of our animalistic nature. 
but we are not just animals . We have evolved higher and we have a significantly higher intelligence and also higher needs than most animals . No animal is interested in going to the moon, but we are. No animal is interested in studying quantum physics, but we are . No animal builds a church or a temple , but we do . We search for meaning , purpose, god , truth , etc . All of these things can never come from the material world . And since sex belongs to the material realm , we can’t extract these values from it .  
when I say there is no meaning to life , this is NOT a negative . This is NOT Nihilism. What I mean is that the search for meaning and purpose out there , somewhere else , or when we achieve the sexual pleasure we seek etc assumes that our meaning is not here and now . But that is a mistake . No matter who you are , how old are you , your skin color , your ethnicity, your religion, your gender, your age etc you are invaluable as you are right here and right now .  There is no action step towards earning your worth . You are enough . This will only become clear to you when you meditate .
