I was wondering how the hell did I garner 1.8K posts in less than 3 years? On my previous account which I used for 3.5 years and then abandoned (I wanted a different username, got approval from Leo) I only had like 600 posts. So, out of curiosity, I dug in into the data.

Distribution of my posts per subforum (stats from this account)

Average daily posts per year (stats from this account)

Pretty neat. Took me around half an hour to get the results. I really like analyzing data. :)

Not feeling at my best. Lacking energy.

1,5 year with my gf today. That’s nice. :) I’m taking her to the sea on Saturday for a one-day trip to celebrate and have fun.

We always celebrate our month-versaries. As in, every month on the 24th we do something special for each other, spend quality time together, stuff like that. It’s fun. I love my girl.

The last 2 months of the relationship have been difficult though. We’ve been arguing, hard. Eh. Don’t wanna talk about it.

But we will prevail.

On another note, I wanna try DMT soon. Been rocking LSD all the time, basically only that with exceptions. I feel like I want something else now. DMT resonates.

I like this forum, but haven’t had the energy to do anything here lately. Neither engage nor read much.

Random shit to share I guess

1) I bought a fidget spinner this month. Neat.

2) I bought a used Thinkpad T580 and installed Linux Mint on it. Because to hell with Windows 11, and because higher sovereignty over my technology. It's going fine.

I'm still using an iPhone but I literally can't change it to something else because the 2 very important factors to me are:

  • Size - I want my phone to be small, light and easily operable with one hand. What a dumb fucking trend to make phones so God damn large. I'm rocking my 12 mini and I'm happy with it
  • Camera - iPhone has the objectively better video camera so yeah.

Phone manufacture companies: please for the love of God create a phone with a mini version with a great camera so that I can switch to Android and quit Apple, please just grant me this wish I'm begging you.

3) The trip with my girl to the sea yesterday went great. We had a lotta fun. :)

4) Reading a great book right now - The Denial of Death, by Ernest Becker. Very insightful.

5) Some cool stuff I watched/listened to lately:

Linux Mint

Once i had to use debian and struggled even for little things.

Even to update certain applications I could only do it by putting myself in admin in the terminal and doing r- sudo apt install /home/blablabla, or bother finding the source of the package; everything was like that.

Maybe Mint is different.

Mint is considered a linux distro for beginners. You barely need to use the console to have the system operational. You can download/update apps through built-in software managers.

There's also the option of LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition). As far as I know, there's not much difference for the average user.

Preferably choose a distro like Mint, Pop!_OS, or Bazzite over Ubuntu - personal recommendation. Essentially, the main choices come down to Debian, Arch, and Fedora-based systems. I dual-boot Mint and Windows.

Bedbugs are a bitch, man.

So we’ve noticed bedbugs in our place like 2-3 weeks ago. Didn’t know these were bedbugs at first because we didn’t come across them before. We thought it was mosquitos biting us.

Turned out that our neighbours from downstairs have had a bedbugs nest at their place. Some older couple who hasn’t dealt with it for a LONG time. Man.

I met my neighbour from upstairs by accident in the elevator this week and he laid out the lore for me. Apparently, he’s had to deal with this shit 3 times now, performing serious disinfestation at his place. So have other neighbours as well.

This week we had the disinfestation performed. Fortunately, it was covered by our landlord. But it’s been SUCH a god damn hassle… so much cleaning to do. All clothes needing to be washed, while my gf’s occupation is fashion related, so she has a fuckton of clothes lol. ALL surfaces were sticky after we came back to our place a day later (yesterday), after everything was sprayed with the chemicals.

It’s been exhausting. But again, at least our landlord is paying for things. I’m pretty sure she’s feeling guilty for not telling us there was a problem with bedbugs in this apartment complex before we moved in. Next time we move in somewhere, this is something I will keep in mind to ask. You reading this, remember that as well.

We’ll be performing 2 more disinfestations in the coming weeks. Hooray! 😂

I see this experience as a lesson though. Teaching me resilience, and leadership in my relationship. My girl’s been grateful to me for handling the majority of things related to this process. I’m da man;)
