Suiçmez's solo style is so masculine and constrained in this Neo-Classical format, but in this solo he went full Avant-Garde improvisational (really odd and unhinged tonal modes and bends) but still maintaining the concise and elegant style.

I love Anneke's voice so much. Warm, majestic, powerful:

Most impeccable and melodically interesting neo-classical guitar solo you'll come across:

Some insight about music history:

Meshuggah took the rhythmically and technically precise guitar picking techniques of 80s thrash metal (distorted palm muting), distilled them to their essence, and perfected them over the course of a decade, from the 90s to the 00s. And of course, it wouldn't be possible without Tomas Haake's inhuman drumming.

If you want a 15 minute 39 seconds run-through of essentially how modern metal was created, watch this video. It's one riff from every Meshuggah song combined into one giant medley. It's very well-executed considering he played 86 riffs in one take:

Quote

Self is the universe, not separate
The state before the fall into self consciousness

Nothing is himself, everything is world

Primordial egg returns
Consciousness unborn
Pre-personal perfection
Bliss's scree yet untorn
Uroboric forms

Find itself as a separate entity
An ego germ is just beginning to be

Wherever there is other, there is fear

Birth, primal paradise
No gap distance or separation
Between self and environment
Unconditional omnipotence

Nothing is himself, everything is world

Primordial egg returns
Consciousness unborn
Pre-personal perfection
Bliss's scree yet untorn
Uroboric forms

Consciousness unborn
Uroboric forms

"Uroboric Forms" by Cynic (1993).

When walking outside in the early spring, even in the evening when it's a bit darker (same light levels as mid winter later in the day), you can feel a slight difference in the environment, like there is energy saved up from the increased sun exposure throughout the day, perhaps stored as heat in the ground, perhaps stored as photosynthetic energy (or other energy) in the trees, perhaps as pollen processes start up and change the smell, perhaps as the dried up ground as asphalt changes the smell and moisture levels drop in the air. Generally, things look and feel more energetic. You feel it charging you up through the eyes and the ambiance.

The sunset colors can also be a factor. I just learned this (I didn't understand quite why in the winter, it seems like sunsets are generally less colorful than in summer and spring where I live): in the string and summer (except at the equator), the sun spends more time in that range of proximity to the horizon due to the longer daylight hours, so you'll be more likely to see sunset colors than in winter; the air is also filled with maybe more (or different) stuff, e.g. dust, pollen, than in the winter which can affect the colors.
