is there a technique that can be used for ocd helppp

When your mind is rushing and you cant stop thinking, try to focus on your big toe. Might sound silly but maybe its not.

use distractions -> whenever you get a thought for example about killing your mother or running into a bus, distract yourself with another stimuli like looking at birds going past, or switching your attention to something else you did in the day. You can also start singing to your fav song.

Switch to something positive -> Whenever a completely stupid thought comes up, try and think of the opposite. So if you are worried that you are going to get a disease from a guy who just breathed on you for example, IMMEDIATELY think of the opposite: tiny chance that will happen, I wont get germs etc.

Meditation -> This one works the best for me, whenever an obsessive compulsive thought comes up, focus ALL of your attention to the sensory world(colours, sounds, etc) and just keep intensely focusing on it.

OCD may be an avoidance mechanism. I mean, when someone avoids "real problems" or real life, his/her brain can focus on compulsive thoughts. We can have some problems, like money problems, emotional problems, some regrets, loneliness or something deeper. It is not easy to be aware of these, sometimes it is hard to face problems. So our brain tricks us, instead of focusing on real problems we have ocd.
