First trial 5-meo-dmt trip report

Smoked 5-meo this morning. I don't know what dose it was because it was in a retreat and the "chaman" prepared to me, but I imagine it was low, next time I'll ask for a bit more.

I can't remember how much the peak lasted since I lost track of time but I wouldn't say more than 5 minutes, which made it a little bit sad because I wanted a little.bit more but then I thought maybe not next time because I had a difficult time surrendering.

I don't know exactly what happened. After smoking it I closed my eyes and everything started to dissappear, including the meaning of the world until know. I don't remember having much fear but rather my heart beating like crazy and just a while light of pure nothing and trying to surrendering to this nothing. I felt the surrender was too much for my ego. Because what I experienced meant this was all real. And I might be God after all. 

When I came down I had a kind of meditation "high" in which I experienced typical meditation awareness but nothing too crazy.

In summary, I would score the experience as positive because I got a taste of the substance withouth a lot of mental taxing. But in other hand I couldn't surrender to it and I'm not sure if I should do a bit more next time or not so I can go to breakthrough and not in that "waiting zone" where you still haven't died and you are trying to make sense of stuff.

Also, it Seems in comparison with lsd or mushrooms trips I haven't retained much from the trip. I feel totally at baseline and I don't feel much difference in regards to identification with the mind. However in lsd trips even I'm very low doses I would feel a lot of mindfulness now.

 

Maybe smoking is not the best ROA to go. Seems brutally fucking intense for some minutes and then instantly at basine. Might have to experiment once and for all with plugging
