Thought Research #2

2 posts in this topic

So I'm doing my thing checking on my thoughts and the narrator as usual uttering all kind of nonsenses and says  "pain" and automatically something goes into my bank of memory and gets a thought of some painful event and not only that it's painful (painful feeling ) and attached to emotions  , thoughts only take power when there are emotions attached to them , example this random thought of a pencil shows up you let it go bc there's no emotion behind that thought ; however if it is some emotional thought you get attached to it if is unpleasant then you try to get rid of it and the resistance only makes the thought even more powerful and that's how anxiety works :) .

The way to get rid of anxiety is by accepting yourself when you are anxious

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie
