What did your mentor teach you?

1 post in this topic

If you've had the privilege of having a mentor for any duration of time... what did you learn?

How has this knowledge transformed your perspective/way of viewing the world?

I believe having a mentor is extremely important for younger adults who want to progress quickly in a specific field. It's much better to learn from someone's experience than it is to read from a book (often times). This way, you can observe and discuss the Do's and Don'ts of how to progress...

Two mentors i have had:

1.) An Olympic level track coach

2.) My 87 year old grandfather who has lived an actualized life

My track coach showed me amazing insights and methods as to how to properly train as well as to stay loose and feeling good in the body.

My grandfather who lived an actualized life showed me the importance of implementing metaphysics and proper conduct through out the day (Discipline, orderliness, respect, etc.)

Please share your experiences with your mentor.
